I was referred to them from my home warranty company when I reported a plumbing issue. Between the time I put in the call and the time the plumber (Robert) came out to take care of the first issue, I happened to have another issue develop. Robert not only took good care of fixing the first issue, but he did a really good job with the second issue. Not only was I dealing with a clogged toilet in the second issue, but I explained to him that the toilet was periodically making running sounds and continuously making a draining sound that would only cease when I would shut off the valve. He had a good a sense of what the issue was---he took out the existing flapper, and went out to his van to get a new one. After installing the new flapper, the intermittent running sound and constant draining sound went away. Great work spotting that quickly!

My only issue is that I tend to have to wait an extra day to get someone from The Honest Plumber to come out. Overall, though, they are courteous to me, their plumbers do really good work, and they are good about getting to my home within the window that gets created for me.

The Honest Plumber are a bunch of crooks, they are dishonest and unprofessional. If your home warranty sends these guys over, don't do it - no matter how much money you think you will save. It will cost you later. Based on their mode of operation, the only business they get is a through the Home Warranty program - its a switch and bait operation. No one will hire these guys directly because they are a swindling bunch. The Honest Plumber came to inspect a plumbing pipe that was leaking onto and under a concrete slab. Afterward they assured me they could do the job and got approval from the Home Warranty, I called Home Warranty to verify. Everything checked. Before allowing them to jack hammer the area, again I asked tons of questions to make sure they know what they are doing and that they got approval by the Home Warranty company for what they are about to do. They assured me. After jack hammering up mess of dirt/concrete and sawing off a large sections of the cast iron pipes, they told me the plastic replacement pipe they got from Home Depot did not fit the existing cast iron pipes and a modification was required to fit the two. They told me modification would cost me $X,XXX because the Home Warranty does not cover modifications. We are completely at their mercy at this point because now we have the sewer pipes sawed off and anything related to plumbing, including both toilets in the home can't be used, a hole in the ground, and a pile of dirt mixed with grey water in the garage. While I was talking to the home warranty company to sort out the situation, the plumber and his assistance got into the car and drove off. It was the most absurd thing I have ever seen. I can only guess they left because they realized they don't know what they are doing or that they were really being dishonest and realized they are not getting away with it. They also unhooked the connections to water heater and now causing drips from the water heater onto the ground. They left our home unsafe. We are a family with kid and they left us stranded. Only unprofessional, dishonest, bunch of crooks would bolt out so fast like that before sorting out the situation.

Later I found out the plastic pipe that they got from Home Depot is not allowed in SF, it is not up to code in SF. No wonder they can't fit it with the existing pipes. They took on a job beyond their skills and destructed our home and left us stranded. This is no joking mater. They are not only crooks, they are incompetent crooks.

I was assigned this company by my warranty, I reported in a leak in my shower handle. Once assigned, I received a call from them the same day to schedule an appointment. They were able to fit me in 2 days after, with a 4 hr window. Brandon was the plumber assigned, showed up on time, inspected the issue, needed a new shower cartridge which he had to go and buy from Home Depot, managed to find a member of the property management team to figure how to shut off water to my unit (this is a multiplex that I newly moved into with little knowledge about the building), was able to fix the issue and get it all done in an hr. Courteous and efficient.

Raised a service request through Fidelity home warranty, and was assigned honest plumber to come fix the leaking flush k. Our master bath. Brandon arrived on time, and worked hard to get the flush repaired and working. Good job done and he cleaned up the place of work too. Happy with the service and the job done.

These guys should be called dishonest plumbers. The plumber showed up on 8/16 (sent through my home warranty company), walked around, fixed nothing and said he didn't know if he could do the job. Btw, the problem was relinking the dishwasher and a noisy toilet. Both very minor. It was a nice day, I guess he had somewhere to be

The Honest Plumber is not! The Honest plumber was sent to my home by my home warranty company. The first time they came they diagnosed the issue but did not fix it. They did not have ""time"" to fix it. When I called back to find out when they were coming back to fix the issue I was informed that my water shutoff did not work. The plumber never informed me of this, I got the information from the dispatcher. Turns out the plumber had turns off my neighbors water not mine. They returned yesterday worked for 10 minutes then said they needed a tool that was in another part of town and would call me to see if it was to late to return. I am still waiting for that call. This morning I called the dispatcher again she informed me the first part of the job was completed and the second part of the job that they had quoted at $95.00 was now going to be $200.00 and my sink still leaks. The thing that is really bothering is the plumbers never told me any of this. All I can say is be warned!

We had a serious clog in our sink drain which proved to be waaaay down the line and wasn't reached by the first attempt. The crew came back with more extensive equipment and did not give up until the clog was cleared . They were courteous , communicated as to when they would arrive , and were very thoughtful about cleaning up any water .
They got the job done which proved to be beyond the normal stopped up drain . I would definitely recommend this company . 9/19/19

I was referred to the honest plumber through my warranty company AHS. I was a little skeptical because of some of the bad reviews on yelp and with a name like honest plumber right LOL
I was pleasantly surprised when Mark showed up he showed up at the beginning of the timeslot he called before he got here. He put on booties and took them off every time he went outside and put them back on every time he came in. He was dressed professionally he spoke professionally.
I had the bathroom sink and kitchen sink that we're both running very slow he had everything cleared out cleaned up and was on his way within 45 minutes.
I am very pleased with Mark's work and would definitely use him again

Horrible and insulting experience. YES IT WAS THAT BAD OF AN EXPERIENCE. Here is what happened: I requested a plumbing service for water leakage under the sink. The technician assigned. He came late by over 2 hrs outside the 4 hr window given to us. Backstory: There was a leak that was detected earlier and we were suggested to call the plumber to get it fixed. He dismissed there was any problem even though there was fresh water leak stains and the wood under the sink was wet. The worst part was he was rude to my wife and with my little one around she felt threaten. So she puts me on phone since i was coming home. On the phone when i was explaining him the problem he was rude and dismissive and left while i was still explaining him. Luckily i have him on video doing this. I won't recommend them at all.
