So I messaged them through yelp, set up an appointment for the next day. The guy was great, told me they would have to get the siding on the back walls (where the tub and shower is) taken off, and he would get back to me with a quote. He did reach out and let me know the estimate would be $400. I agreed. That's where things fell apart. I called and texted repeatedly over a week, to set up the actual work to be done. Called the plumber directly, called the office, they said they'd get back to me and I wait and nothing. It's now been over a week and I realize they've ghosted me, and I now have to start over with a new company. I have already paid them $90 just to show up, so that money is down the drain. Luckily I contacted the 'Can Do Crew', and they were very responsive and set up the work to be done immediately. Now I see why they are better rated on yelp! Have to watch out for sponsored reviews vs real reviews. If you've read this far, don't waste your time, 'can do crew' was the way to go, and their fee to come assess is only $59, not $99 like these crooks.

Editing to add, since the manager or owner responded so promptly and so dishonestly, Mr honest plumber. At no point did you tell me you could not do the work. If you could have let me know that, instead of waiting for anyone to return a call, I could have gotten this resolved with a reliable company sooner. Adding my conversation with your employee. And I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

They do not stand up to their name. Technician said they would accept cash payment. So we paid in cash and they did not report it, and lied about bill not being paid so, I had to pay the bill twice!

Required their work in San Luis Obispo. They provide absolutely first rate service, expertise, judgment, and communication. In particular, Mike was enormously helpful throughout our project. I highly recommend this business!

The company contacted us right away to replace the water heater via AHS warranty company. Itemized work included a permit as per the warranty company. They replaced the water heater. We paid our share of cost. They didn't give a receipt after requested. I had to call a couple of weeks later and ask about the permit. They had not pulled it at all! They brought it by our house with the date of when I called. Bad practice. Will not do business with them again.

I put a picture of my toilet tank that needed some repair work and requested availability and pricing. The Honest Plumber responded quickly and sent me an estimate for parts and labor . I accepted the estimate and they had someone out the next day. Could have been that day, but I did not check my e-mail until later that night. The technician arrived within the time that was scheduled. He was courteous, friendly and professional. Job was done in less than an hour. I was very pleased with the work that was done. I would definitely recommend The Honest Plumber.

I put a picture of my patched leaking pipe out on yelp, and requested 'availability & pricing"". The Honest Plumber responded promptly, and had someone out for a free estimate within a day. They needed to order a part. Their technician (Ricky) arrived as scheduled and set about the repair promptly. He did quality work, and was friendly and professional. Price was fair, I believe. I think I'll be calling these guys for my future plumbing needs!
