I called John several months back. I had just moved from the west coast and hurt my back so it was great to find someone knowledgable and affordable. I had a barely functional bathroom and he replaced the toilet, installed a bidet seat, replaced the flooring, caulked the tub, and put up some towel bars. High quality work. Very friendly. Heartily recommend.

I strongly advise against using this company. John cancelled on me and then proceeded to no show two scheduled appointments with no call or text or communication whatsoever. John seems like a nice person on the phone, but but is not reliable and proved to be unprofessional.

Hire John to replace 7or 8 trek board on the my deck and replace flower beds. Came out looked at what I wanted done and committed to do the job. Well he didn't finish the job. Now patio has two flower beds that's not finish. To sum it up I wouldn't recommend him.There was several texts saying that he would be out but never showed up. Very unprofessional. He,.s all about the money.

I highly recommend contacting John the Home Tradesman for any of your home repair or improvement needs. We called him for an electrical issue we had in our basement and he was very thorough and knowledgeable over the phone. He took the time to discuss possible issues and gave us an estimated quote that was very reasonable. Upon arriving and diagnosing the problem, it turned out he was right in the money with what he said over the phone as to what the issue was. John was very honest and professional. He billed us for the work completed which was less than what he quoted over the phone. Also, while John was at our house he discussed other possible projects we were interested in for a later date and gave us some estimates. John was very nice and did a fantastic job fixing our electrical issue. We will definitely be calling him again for future projects and we highly recommend him for any of your home repair needs!

Left a message for an estimate , they never once returned a call. Called twice and left two messages.
I can't reccomend any tradesperson that never follows up with potential clients , I had a rather large job and have since found a responsible contractor. Stay away from this business as they are not professional.

We have done a lot of major renovations in our home in the last year which meant working with a variety of contractors and dealing with all types of frustrations like poor workmanship, no shows or no responses... So I feel like my review is trustworthy. John is a highly skilled carpenter which is hard to find these days. He has his own website which makes it easy to book an appointment! He is professional, polite and friendly. A rare find. We will be using him for many future projects. Especially projects that are small since many contractors only want major work or charge you an arm and a leg just to show up! Anyway, please consider the home tradesman if you are having a hard time getting some help.

So we are not local to the area and did not know where to start when looking for someone to replace our water heater. So we turned to our old reliable for a referral- Yelp of course! Their process for getting referrals and estimates is quick and easy- and then there is the $2500 guarantee. Just can't beat that service.

From the moment The Home Tradesman answered a/k/a John, it was an easy choice to make. Not only did he have the lowest estimate (which we all know is no guarantee of anything), John is polite, honest, forthright, accommodating and punctual. And that's before you get to know him!

Well, both the customer service and the quality of the craftsmanship are both extraordinary- as it turned out the scope of our job was a little more complicated than expected and even a second day of labor was required there was no extra charge to us. And John was even apologetic that he took longer to complete the task, even though it was. No fault of his.

There are dozen little things that we are looking to have done around the house and John will be the person we contract to do them. I know that everything will be done properly, to our exact specifications and at a cost we can afford.
