I used the Home People to replace my roof 1.5 years ago. During the roofing replacement they were terrible communicators. There was delay after delay but finally the project was completed. Within 15 months the flat roof failed. I contacted another roofer who told me that it was not sealed properly and I should have them repair the damage. Water was leaking between the fascia and the eve where my tiki hut met the roof. The second roofer told me that if I did not have the bottom beam of the tiki removed they could not possibly seal the roof properly. The second roofer told me to call the Home people for warranty repair. One section was hit be termites but the entire length flat roof under the Tiki (27 feet) sustained water damage. The Home People sent """"roofing experts"""" who did not speak with me directly. The Roofing manager called and very rudely told me that they were not responsible because as section had termites which were brought by the wet wood from the leak in one small section. This contractor was very unprofessional. In the end the Home People would not honor the warranty. Do not use this company for anything. BEWARE

I called The Home People because I needed a quote for a number of repairs on a home I am purchasing. The bank asked me to get at least 2 quotes. Already had one contractor ready to go. Meir Rosenberg took my call and was nice over the phone asked me to email repair report so he can give it to a person named David who would call me to schedule my inspection. He said by the end of the week he would have someone at the home. Guess who never called back? I had to scramble to find a 2nd quote last minute and almost threw off my deal with the bank. Very unprofessional service and bad for business. Some people don't like to make money. Good luck Home people.

They did some roof work and window replacements for me. They delivered what was promised without the normal aggravation that I have gotten from others in the past. I would recommend them to anyone and I will certainly use them again if the need should arise.

The worst contractor ever! After Irma destroyed our roof, they received over 40k paid in full and the work was sloppy. Horrible communication. Our project manager was next to nonexistent. They're the spirit airlines of general contractor. They use inconsistent subcontractors who don't kno what do. Our water heaters don't work, holes left in the wall. The kitchen faucet bursted and damaged the wood cabinets. Cabinets were not leveled and fascia board was not completely replaced. Save yourself the headache.

As a senior citizen and a state resident of the State of Florida, I herby request an investigation into the fraudulent activity of Mr. Aaron Gonen, Mr. Edward Arthur Koster and The Home People. Mr. Aaron Gonen was the strong-armed salesman who talked up our religion in order to build trust and to sell me impact resistant windows - using our religion to gain my trust is unethical, how could I not trust a deeply religious man, a member of the community, this seems similar to what Bernie Madoff did, I entrusted him with an order worth over $15,000. This turned out to be a big mistake which took months, days and hours to finally get some sort of action, by this time I was already out of my money and the project is still not complete. Mr. Gonen works for Mr. Edward Arthur Koster at The Home People, a general contractor in the state of Florida who specializes in home remodels, windows, and doors. I feel betrayed and at my wits end to get this job finally completed. He still refuses to answer my calls and return my text messages, the office is just as useless. I am accusing them of misleading a senior citizen into purchasing a product from them in which they used my religion and my age against me to have me sign on the dotted line, they abused that relationship and conned me into agreeing to sign on with them. This is clearly Mr. Gonen and his company being financially dishonest and clear misconduct by the contractor This is a clear-cut case of an affinity fraud as well a senior abuse and a financial crime that deserves to be investigated and possible criminal charges filed against these individuals. In January 2022 a representative of, The Home People (License # CGC1517513) - aka The Home Experts - his name was Aaron Gonen (email - EMAIL LEFT BLANK BY REVIEWER - phone # - PHONE # LEFT BLANK BY REVIEWER) came to my home to sell me on replacing my windows to hurricane proof window -impact resistant windows. I agreed to pay $15,842 at the time of the order which was placed on 1/25/2022. I paid $7,000.00 on 1/25/22 and $8,000.00 on 5/16/22. According to the information I have on file the windows were ordered on 3/2/2022 (close to two months after I paid, and believe the only reason why they were eventually ordered was because of my consistent calls and text messages - they were finally installed on 5/16/2022. The windows were delivered on 5/15/2022 and installed on 5/16/2022, however they were not inspected until 7/21/22 when they failed inspection, finally on 7/26/2022 they passed inspection, however the installation is still not complete, the job is still not done, they left the screws exposed and the material used to cover the screws on the floor of my garage. After many additional emails, calls, and text messages they still have failed to respond, leaving my windows and this job incomplete. The reason it took so long to do the inspection was because the company, The Home People, never pulled a permit and after many calls and emails, they finally agreed to pull a permit which was issued on 7/19/2022 (2 months after installation) and finally agreed to call the city to get the windows inspected. The inspection of those windows failed on 7/21/22, they finally passed inspection on 7/26/2022. If I did not push them they would have never pulled a permit leaving my exposed to major insurance issues if my home was destroyed in a hurricane. As of 11/6/2022 the job is still not complete, they left the screws exposed and still have not come back to my home to put the finishing touches on the windows.

These are NOT people you want to hire or work with... EVER! A job that was promised in 3 months or less took 8 months and still was not even completed right until I finally had enough and asked them not to come back anymore! My house was a disaster for 8 months with different workers showing up all the time in unmarked cars and no company attire at all. The owners are absolutely atrocious to work with and they could care less about you, your schedule, your home, their employees and the work they do. They'll send Eric to come to your house and price the job while he uses his gift of gab to try and sweet talk you into a job. Once he promises you everything he can't deliver on and signs you up... the nightmare begins. Then you get to work with his partner Ben who is a disaster. His communication is deplorable, he points fingers at everyone for his mistakes and has 0 professionalism. The workers on the job quit on him mid way through my work, I then had to call for WEEKS to get someone back out. I hired them to do work in two rooms. The rooms were not done correctly and we ended up having to pull up the floors again. They then refused to repair their own work and I was forced to hire another company to come and do what I originally hired the home people for. These people are un ethical, they have no regard for you, your home, your family or any of your lively hoods. Add to this that I made the mistake of having them do an entirely new roof replacement for me. They subcontracted the job, never showed up to check on it and by the time they were done I had metal flashings exposed all over the front of my house changing the entire curb appeal of it!!! I would RUN if approached by this company. They are shady, spineless scammers who frankly should be put out of business. The people they send to your house, they barely know... they're day laborers they pick up from wherever they can to try and patch work your job together. This is such a horrible operation. RUN and AVOID this company and these shady characters as quickly as you can! Benny and Eric are terrible people who take no accountability for your actions and have absolutely no concern or care for you and your family. What an absolute nightmare of an experience. I'm willing to elaborate further for anyone who would like to contact me directly

They are horrible and dishonest. Please do not use them at all, if you value your home and your money. They are not practice fair and ethical business practices. I have nothing but aggravation from them, because they left the work undone and my yard a disaster. No sense of decency or respect to the homeowners. They do not deliver on their promises, as well as take you for the worst ride of your life. Please find other contractors to save yourself from spending money and using attorneys to help resolve problems. They are overpriced and very inconsistent with their management practices. Stay away from them and their so called life time guarantee on their work. I have to find a real contractor to undo the damage they have caused. Again, find real licensed contractors to do all your home improvements and repairs, and drop these sales or marketing people. They will hike the prices through finance techniques so they get paid, while they sub-contract the work out to another entity you have never met. Safe your money and save yourself from headaches and further expenses.

I WISH I READ THE REVIEWS!!! FIND ANOTHER REMODELER. I signed a contract on June 29. I was told by David the salesman, the job would be done in 7 business days. I was told how they worked practically dustless because they sealed the entrance ways with plastic that zippered to lock the dust in the demolished room. That did not happen. The first day of work I had to call an ambulance because one of the workers was having chest pains. Although he refused to call the ambulance I was not going to have him drop dead in my home. The demolition continued for six days. The work seem to be going along at a good pace. But then the delay started. Couldn't get tile guys out for almost a week. When they did show, one guy was left who did not speak English. He cut tile outside while leaving the doors open. There was tile dust everywhere. Benny kept trying to have me put in fixtures from Home Depot when I wanted a higher line of fixtures from Lowe's. Then on July 19, I was told I would need a custom door. Well yeah! That is why I paid an increase of $1200 in my contract. After that no work was done until October!! Over three months of delays, because of incompetence and no one answering my calls. And an increase of $1100 was added to my final bill without an explanation. The painting is mediocre at best with chips in the new paint. There is cement on the shower tiles because they weren't completely cleaned and tile powder everywhere. Find another remodeler.
