If you want a truly frustrating experience, then call Amir at The Happy Plunger. (Really . . . don't. He's unreliable and rude.) In fact, take a close look at some of the reviews that the Yelp algorithm does not ""recommend""; they're consistent with our experience with Amir.

We called Amir about two months ago to set up service. After a phone discussion about what we needed, he made an appointment to come to our home the next day. Because he said he couldn't write anything down, he asked us to send him our personal information by text, which we promptly did. But he never showed up for the appointment, and then refused to respond to numerous follow-up messages as we tried to find out why he had ghosted us. We were ultimately forced to call another company.

Then, this week, we saw that Amir's company was on a list of local technicians that service our brand of tankless hot water heaters. Believing in second chances, we called him again. (Our mistake!) He again said he couldn't write anything down, and asked us to send our personal information (email address, home address, serial and model numbers of the unit), which we promptly did. And again, he never responded and never showed up at our home. And just like the first time, he has refused to respond to numerous follow-up messages as we've tried to find out why he AGAIN ghosted us.

We've contacted the manufacturer to begin the process of having Amir removed from their list of recommended technicians. He's truly awful. Please save yourself the time and frustration and call someone else. (Incidentally, we've noticed that when others have posted reviews describing similar experiences, Amir replied by claiming that he never spoke to them and that they must have the ""wrong company."" We're definitely not mistaken. And if he claims that again in our case, then he's simply not being truthful.)

Amir came right over after I called him on a Friday afternoon. He was honest and even tried to trouble shoot over the phone so I could avoid a service call. He was very polite and professional. Amir at The Happy Plunger is extremely passionate about plumbing and the quality of his work shows. I screwed up a DIY job fixing our shower, leaving us without water on a Saturday night. I called him late Saturday to see if he could come in Sunday. He showed up and fixed my mistakes and then some at a reasonable price!

Funny thing was: earlier that day I called him about installing a water softener I was thinking of purchasing. After describing my setup over the phone, he described in great detail why the setup wouldn't be to code and posed a health risk. He said he wasn't a softening expert, but he would ask around. I certainly didn't expect a call back, but an hour later, he called ME back to have a conference call with his plumbing friend that knew a bit more about softening options. I remembered that experience later in the day when I had the shower snafu. I'm glad I did!

Don't think twice and give Amir a call if you're in need of a plumber.

I was looking for an honest and professional plumber for help with my tankless water heather. I came across Amir's page on yelp and thought I'd give him a call. Unfortunately Amir was busy with another job and couldn't make it out to my home but he offered to help figure out the issue over the phone. Over Facetime Amir was able to figure out the problem and advised me to order a part directly from the manufacturer. Well the part came and after replacing it my water heater started working! I'm VERY thankful for Amir going out of his way to help. Will definitely keep him top of mind anytime I'm in need of a plumber.

I was looking for an honest & professional plumbing company and came across Amirs page on Yelp. Before coming out on location he asked for pictures & video of the valves that needed to be changed. He replaced 3 copper shutoff valves under the kitchen sink & checked for leaks there after. There was a leak from the faucet mount. he reputtied the base removing it completely & reassured that there's no more leaks. He also replaced the washers for the lavatory faucets. Total was $400. Overall, it was a great experience. His price is mid ranged but his work & professionalism is exquisite.

Excellent service! !He was on another job when that job was finished he came to us checked out the situation and told us he would be back Sunday morning which he did he worked for five hours did everything that was needed to stop three or four different leaks and we were very pleased with the results!

When I think of Amir, pride in quality and service comes to mind. Our kitchen sink began to back up. Plumbers we've hired in the past simple unclogged the pipe and left. Amir took it a step further. He checked the state of our pipes, took pictures to show us how and why it was backing up. He reconfigured and replaced the pipes that were corroded to create a more efficient system. Thank you!!

I had a major sewage pipe break and these guys came out and fixed everything. They were honest, affordable, professional and super easy to deal with.
