Thank god for Yelp and Sean. My water heater went out. I called Sears since it was supposed to be under warranty. Sears told me my warranty didn't cover my problem and they couldn't tell me how much the hourly repair charge was. I was not about to give anyone a blank check. Looking at Sear's repair reviews, I saw nothing but negative reviews. I searched on Yelp and found Sean. Nothing but positive reviews. I spoke to Sean on the phone and he knew just what the problem was. He quoted me a price, said if he couldn't fix it there was no charge and came out the next day. Sean even called to follow up the next day to make sure my problem was solved. I highly recommend the Handyman Plumer.

Shawn did a fantastic job on my water heater repair. He replaced the entire thermocoupler perfectly. Then the water heater had a different problem with it, so Shawn only charged me half-price because it wasnt a ""complete fix."" What an awesome guy, highly reccomended.

I called Shawn for a quote to replace my leaking water heater. The first thing Shawn suggested was that the water heater might not need to be replaced... that perhaps it could be repaired (or a part replaced) and he came out to my house (free-of-charge) to take a look. When we realized that the water heater would need to be replaced, Shawn suggested that I contact the manufacturer because the water heater was still under warranty. I had 3 quotes from other plumbers and all of them were more expensive than Shawn and 2 of them told me that the manufacturer would not replace the water heater because it had not been flushed regularly. I called the manufacturer on Shawn's advice and, as it turns out, they offered to swap out the water heater with a new one no questions asked. Shawn helped me to locate a distributor for the water heater and I ended up with a free water heater!

Shawn was completely up-front about his fees. He quoted me a flat fee for labor to repair or replace the water heater. Parts were additional, but not expensive. He was very flexible on timing for installation. I needed to repair some water damage to the floor, so he came out to de-install the water heater and came back a week later to install. He totally works with your schedule. In addition, when Shawn was in the crawl space under my house, he offered to repair a heating vent that he noticed was broken at no extra charge.

I really appreciated my experience with Shawn. He gave me great advice and did a fantastic job for a reasonable price. I would definitely use him again!

We had a clogged kitchen sink. After reading such positive reviews about Shawn on yelp and yahoo, we decided to give him a try. We called and left a message. He promptly replied and scheduled an appntmt for the following morning. He arrived on time, was able to resolve the problem within 15 minutes and charged me exactly what he quoted over the phone, a very reasonable price. He was very courteous and gave us helpful hints to keep our pipes clog-free. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Story: I first called $15 Drain and had them come out to clear up a clogged main sewer line. The guy showed up and immediately told me my hourly price ($88/man/hour) would be doubled because they needed to go through the roof vent and it would require another guy. He came alone so I was going to have to wait. Since I had to go to work, I ended up telling him to come later. I decided to call around and check some other options and found Shawn at Handyman Plumbers.
Shawm was very nice, honest and I got a good vibe. Additionally, he charges a FLAT rate which is much better than the hourly other larger companies will charge. Shawn came out, ended up not needing to go through the roof vent and unclogged my main. It took at most 45 minutes. He also was kind enough to show me how to put the toilet back together. Very helpful, very professional and honest.

I contacted Shawn around 6pm after our sink and washing machine drain overflowed. After describing the problem, Shawn agreed to come by with no extra fee, despite the after hours call. Shawn tried for about two hours to fix the clog, but needed a larger piece of equipment he didn't have with him. Shawn came back the next morning and resolved the problem, again no extra charge. I found Shawn to be extremely professional, his prices to be reasonable and overall a very nice guy. I highly recommend his services and would not hesitate to call him again in the future.
