I researched Yelp for a local plumber that had not only high ratings, but a large number of total reviews. Timothy's The Green Plumber was at the top of that combination, and for good reason.

He not only diagnosed my water heater problem, he also gave me several options for resolving a very complex warranty issue I was having with the company that sold me the water heater.

He went to great lengths attempting to source the failed Gas Control Valve that turned out to no longer be in production and there is no replacement on the horizon.


1. He arrived on time!
2. Very professional and personable.
3. Expert in all he did (I watched him the whole time and he didn't mind)
4. He put up with my yammering the whole time.
5. He said ""No charge"".

I could not let him go without paying him for what turned out to be the exact diagnosis and advice I needed to resolve my warranty issue.

I just got the company that sold me the water heater to commit to delivering a new water heater tomorrow under the parts warranty thanks to Timothy's guidance.

I'm now thinking about a solar water heating solution that he specializes in.

The pilot for my water heater at my salon was not working at 8:30 am. I called Tim and he was able to come to my rescue within 45 min. He was then able and willing to take the time to drive up to L.A to get a kit to fix my water heater issue and then returned promptly to fix it. I am so excited to know that I have an official plumber for my shop.

I have to agree with all the other glowing reviewers here. I think the one person who had a criticism must have been thinking of another plumber! Tim was absolutely fantastic - I could not ask for more in a plumber. He wore the booties, he cleaned up afterward, yes. And he also came within 90 minutes of my initial Monday morning call for a kitchen sink repair. He was happy to have me watch him do the entire repair and explained it all to me so I could learn as he worked. He went under the house in a dirty crawl space on an unrelated issue, and explained how to do another 2 repairs on my own - with diagrams and recommendations for where to get the materials - all for no extra charge. Unbelievable. He was fantastic. 3rd generation plumber (his dad and granddad), careful and skilled. Thank you Tim!!

We were in desperate need of getting our sewer line cleaned out - called Timothy and he was at our location within 20 minutes. he had our line cleared - drop cloth on was laid on the floor, all of the walls were draped in plastic - he was very clean, prompt and professional. I highly recommend Timothy and I will use him again in the future!!!

What a nightmare! My mother lives in New Jersey and I manage her rental property for her. The tenants called ""The Green Plumber"" when their bathroom sink became backed up. He came out and told the tenants that everything was installed incorrectly, took the sink apart and ordered custom finish parts...$$$ before contacting us. We called him to inquire and he ended up refusing to speak with us- the owners and demanded only to speak with the tenant. (This is a first!)
We told him that we did not want custom finishes, just the normal parts that were defective to be replaced- so that it would look just like it did before- no better, no worse- and so he reinstalled our OLD parts and billed us $342.00!!!
This guy charged us $342.00 for basically snaking the line. We still have to get a plumber out there to fix/replace the parts he took apart.

Now I understand why he calls himself ""the Green Plumber""- he must be very wealthy from ripping people off!

We have used Timothy twice and could not be more pleased. He has done fantastic work.

Both jobs dealt with roof drainage. Our first job was time sensitive. We were having our roof replaced and needed a larger drain installed. Timothy came out very quickly, assessed our problem and gave us a written estimate. He found the appropriate part on short notice and stayed until 10:00pm to ensure that the drain was in place before the roofers arrived. He really went above and beyond our expectations. Our second job dealt with the drain running from the house to the street. When asked, Timothy offered us numerous environmentally friendly solutions to our problem and completed a job that required excavating the old pipe from under our house in one day.

We could not be happier with Timothy's work. I would recommend him without any reservations.

Had a heater replaced, Tim came to my Condo and not only replaced my heater, he built the shelving for the heater. I have called him on his services for drains, and I just had my Garbage Disposal replaced, he has done only top quality work for me. Highly recommend this guy.

Aftering visiting Yelp, looking at review ratings and the number of reviews, I contacted The Green Plumber with two specific questions.

Firstly, I provided an overview of the specific work I needed and I asked for a ""ball-park guesstimate"". (I know professionals may be hesitant to provide an exact quote over the phone due to unforseen situations but I needed to make sure it was within my budget). To my surprise, Timothy provided a number that worked for me.

The second question I asked was if he was able to do the work at a specific time in a few days. I live in a condo building and needing to coordinate with property management to turn off water for the building.

Cut to the day of the day of the repair and Timothy showed up on-time (if not a little early) and ready to work. Unfortunately, it took some time for the water to be turned off in the building. A simple 45 minute repair extended into a three-hour event. Timothy was extremely professional and helpful, not only to me but to the property manager as well. The best part is that his quoted rate was exactly what I was charged.

Not only will I use The Green Plumber in the future, I would highly recommend him to anyone, be it a family member, a friend or a complete stranger.

Tim was awesome - knowledgeable and passionate about green plumbing without being pushy. incredibly professional staff - put booties on each time they came in the house, cleaned up the work area. Took time to explain the services and any issues that arose, they asked before proceeding with anything.

Hard working, timely and honest. He answers the phone personally and is very professional and friendly. The job was done well, they explained everything and even did more, then fixed our sink trash disposer in addition to a clogged bathroom sink. They were very cooperative and came out right away.
