I called to make an appointment, it was set for a few days later. The date arrives and its no show/no show. I called back to make another appointment, and it was another no call/no show. I called again and James the plumber then calls me back. He apologized and said he was sorry and would be there the next day. The next day was another no call/no show. I called a third time and gave my info again, no call back. I called a fourth time, and was told I would get yet another call back. I then called a different plumber.

Our Rheems water heater stopped working. The water heater was still under warranty so we called Rheems and they diagnosed the the problem over the phone and sent us a replacement pilot light assembly. We called Dunwoody Plumber and talked to Mary. She said it would be $150 to come out and replace the part. We agreed and Tom the owner came out the next day and installed the new part. The water heater still didn't work. He then installed some other parts from his truck, a generic gas control thermostat and a generic burner assembly. The water heater worked now. He said the total charge was $650 for his time and the new parts. He asked that we pay him, Tom Connolly directly the $650 instead of the company. We paid him the $650. He said he would reimburse us for the parts $240 if we were to get them from Rheems. We have now received the the gas control thermostat from Rheems. I have called the Dunwoody Plumber 4 times now to get reimbursed and Mary says Tom is too busy to call me back. This business sucks. On top of that it looks like the Dunwoody Plumber repair job is not up to code with an exposed electrical wire outside the water heater.

Had some leaking faucets in the house and the kitchen faucet had to be replaced. Bruce and his assistant arrived, as promised, one day after my call and quickly and professionally solved my problems. The charges were very reasonable, and I plan to use this group for a more complicated and disruptive job in an upstairs bathroom drain leak. Dave Williams Dunwoody

Stay away! Rude & unprofessional. Was referred to Tom by 2 neighbors & will quickly lose his #. Typically like to use local (Dunwoody) based contractors but this won't be one.

Absolutely a Professional. Always there when we need him. Stands by his work. Has worked on multiple projects for us from our old house in Dunwoody to our new house in Johns Creek.

Called to schedule an appointment, and I was told they would arrive at my house between 7:30am-8am. I get a call 6:30am the morning of my appointment saying they went to another job for an emergency leak and that they'd be at my house around 9am. Well, 9am passes by, 10am passes by, and 11am passes by. I finally call to find out why nobody showed up for the appointment. Oh, it's not that he didn't show up, but he's still on the other job. Isn't that the same thing. No phone call to let me know there were any delays, etc. I told them to not bother coming out. Appointment canceled, and I'm going to find a new plumber. Similar to what another reviewer stated (wish I had read these reviews ahead of time), very poor communication. And, a total lack of respect for the customer. I took the morning off to get my plumbing issue fixed, and I completely wasted my time. Look elsewhere.

I expected a lot more. Tom used polyethylene on my kitchen sink water faucet supply lines which left the cold water line useless for anything other than boiling. You can't drink it, it has a bad odor and bad taste. The hot water isn't bad because the hot water flushes this out. But who wants to drink hot water if you just want a glass of water. You can't tell me that any plumber doesn't know this about polyethylene. So the ability to do the job is one thing, it's another to do it right. One thing we did find, thanks to Tom, we like the filtered water in the Glacier dispenser at Publix and Kroger. We buy it for our coffee, drinking water, and tea since we can't drink the faucet water. At .35/gallon not that expensive for good clean tasting water. It's goes thru activated carbon filters, then passes thru micron filters, then goes thru a reverse osmosis membrane, then another carbon filter, then when you draw the water it goes thru ultraviolet light. Thanks Tom for introducing us to the Glacier machine. Another reason Tom won't get any further plumbing opportunities from our home is he cussed within ear range of my kid. So professional Tom.

I was having issues with my toilet leaking from the bottom so I called The Dunwoody Plumber and Tom came over within the hour and did a fabulous job. He was very kind, professional and thorough. He took the time to show me what was wrong and to explain in detail was his plan of action was. He was also very friendly with my dog, which is always a plus. I definitely recommend him!

Excellent! Timeline: 8:00pm - Dekalb county informed me that a leak in my yard was my responsibility. Called Tom shortly after 8:45pm - Tom showed up, assessed and said he would have to come back in the morning to dig. 8:30am - Tom shows up and starts digging. Finds out it's a sprinkler line/service line connection that has burst. 10:30am - done with all work. Saved my family from having water shut off for the weekend. He's not the most buttoned up professional but is knowledgeable, experienced and great with the family.

Never showed up. I called three times once at 9:15am to see if they could come out and they said they were on their way then once again at 10:30 apparently he was lost but should arrive any moment and then once again at noon to be told he couldn't find the house and had gone to another job. I was never informed or called. Very rude.
