My experience was disappointing with this company. They did not show up for my scheduled appointment or follow up on service requests. I moved on.

My water heater (in my attic) was leaking,into the walls in 3 rooms in my house. I have American Home Shield insurance that covers my appliances. They recommended Drain Dude, they called within two days. I spoke with Brandon told him I would like my water heater moved to my garage and he told me that would cost $5000, he asked for $3000 right then and so I put it on a credit card. At another point he asked for another $1000 and I put that on a credit card. Then when he finally came to my house and looked at it we decided it was best to just leave the hot water heater where it was. The hot water heater was turned off, to prevent further damage to my house. Randon should've been able to get a hot water heater within a few days after many phone calls and 31 days a new hot water heater was installed in the attic. I had asked Randon about my $4000, he told me he had to talk to American Home Shield to see what amount they recommend be returned. I had a local plumber come and look at the hot water heater he added a pipe to it so it wouldn't drip and do the same thing again Randon's employee had neglected to do that. I talked to Randon again about the money he then told me that he would send me a form that I could fill out for American Home Shield, and they would determine how much money I should get back. I talked to American Home Shield, they said Rand on had not even turned in a work order saying that my hot water heater needed to be replaced. Nor had he ever talked to anyone at American Home Shield they told me they never take cash from anybody they take your $125 that you pay for a service call. Basically all Randon did with me was lie, he wouldn't call back when he said he would other times he wouldn't answer his phone and he told me that I had his private phone number. It's fortunate that I had put the payments to him on my credit card because my credit card has reverse the money to me and wI'll try to get it out of Rand on, about all I said to them was good luck. I'm going to call American Home Shield and tell them that he should never be recommended for any job.

What a horrible business!!!!! I have a clogged toilet, I called First American Home Warranty. They send a request for service to the ""Drain Dude"" (a stupid name for a company). On June 12, 2022, they sent two guys out to ""assess"" the problem. They told me that they would be back the next day. Sarah at the Drain Dude called me and said that their company was really booked and that they could not get out to my home until June 22, 2022. 10 days later.........The tech called at 2:00 pm on June 22, 2022, and told my husband that he did not have the correct equipment and didn't know why they had sent him out on this job and he was going home and not coming to my house!!!!
I called The Drain Dude office....no answer, I left a mess. asking what am I supposed to do. Then I called First American Home Warranty to send another plumber.
I should have checked YELP first!!! I see I'm not the only one that has had bad dealings with this company

Wowwwww what a business? I am surprised this is actually called a business and still hanging around. I first got introduced to them through home insurance for a project. They came did the job partially and they said the completion of the wall patching is not their job I called back the insurance and they sent another plumber to complete the job. The guy who came did the job his name was Adam was a decent person who did the job without any trouble and probably that is why he is no longer working there. Then going on I had a second job which I had to pay for and I am dealing with them since beginning of April but all I am getting is run around, promises, never show up on time if they show up and I guess they have all the excuses you can imagine for now showing up. On top of it when talking to the lady who claims to own the business she screams at you as if you owe her an apology for hiring her to do the job. I have never been treated like this when talking to a business. She will say something today and deny it tomorrow. I am surprised people can actually run a business like this. NOT IN A MILLION I will recommend them to anyone for any kind of plumbing work. Very unprofessional and disrespectful towards the customers.

Poor service. Calls not returned. Missed appointments without notification From anyone. Emails stating work finished when it was never started. They should change their name to the three stooges. After months of disappointments for repair we had enough. NEVER AGAIN !!!

Would not recommend. Home warranty company set us up with them. They left us hanging all night one time telling us they were on the way only to not at all. They fixed our main line and left our driveway dug up for about a week. Once they put it back they didn't compact the dirt and now there is a big sink hole in our driveway. Requested an invoice for the work completed and had to hound Amber and Randon for it and heard constant excuses. Took about six weeks.

Worthless. Set up an appointment - they did not show up. Tried to confirm appointment before driving 2.5 hour to meet them (newly purchased home that we're not there full time yet) but only got voicemail. Left message - no callback. Appointment came and went. I called and finally got someone after pressing every option in their menu system. I'm told the tech was on an emergency and they would call me when he was finished. I never received a call. Next day I spoke to the manager (owner?) who said he tried calling me before their office closed the day before but got my voicemail. My phone showed no missed call and he indicated he didn't leave a message. I simply don't believe anything they say. I also questioned the emergency in the first place and asked - ""so either there was no emergency or you don't have the professionalism to contact me to let me know that. Which is it?"" To which I received no answer. Completely unprofessional and no faith in them. This was through Home Shield so I've requested a different contractor and Highly recommended Home Shield never use them again.

I hope multiple postings will get this resolved.

I was given the drain dudes information by another plumber who was out of town. I am still working on getting back my entire deposit back (this has been on going since November). I'm so disappointed. He took a $4,500 deposit. Per the California State Licensing Board, there is not to be a deposit taken over the amount of 10% or $1000, whichever is less. I am so disappointed this has not been resolved. I am still hoping Randon does right by his company by issuing my deposit returned in the full amount. But after contacting resources (California State Licensing Board and reaching out to his bond company) I feel that the only remedy is to go to small claims court. I do not recommend this company. I'm hoping that this makes Randon or his wife (I believe she is his office manager) Amber do the right thing and issue my deposit back to me. I honestly hope his employees , and iespecially Dan, find a better person to work for.

...Only because there isn't an option for zero stars. First American Home warranty service isn't much better, either. They scheduled ""The Drain Dude"" to come to our home on 3/18/22. They were so busy, that they couldn't come out until yesterday, 9 am - 10 am on 4/4/22, to help us locate a leak that has created a wet area under our home. Yesterday came - and went. NO SHOW. NO CALL. I contacted their office at 10:30 am to find out the status, and they got me confused with another customer and said the service person was running late and wouldn't be there until about 12:30 pm. Once she determined who I was, she said she would find out the status and call me right back. Nothing. I tried calling several times after and got voicemail - which wasn't set up so I couldn't leave a message. The home warranty company tried as well - same results. If your home warranty calls ""THE DRAIN DUDE""...tell them THE DRAIN DUDE DOESN'T DO $#[email protected] neither does the person answering the phone...and move on to another company who will actually PROVIDE SERVICE!

This company is a joke! The owner is dishonest, terrible customer service, staff is unfriendly. My home warranty, which is another joke, recommended them. The owner Claimed he was was waiting for parts to come in. At first I bought it. Then as it's been almost a month, I had a friend who Is a plumber, tell me, the parts I needed I could go to lowes or Home Depot and get them. I can't stand dishonest people! Avoid this business!! Judging by the other reviews, I'm not the only one!
