$471 to clean a drain in Vermillion; 35 minutes work. The drain was cleared, along with my wallet.

Jason & Dillon were able to fit me in the same day I called, whereas the other plumber in Vermillion has a week and a half wait time. After having my sewer back up into my house three times in the last six months, including after I had it cleared by another provider, I was worried that there was something very wrong with the clay pipe on the boulevard or under the street (I already had my line from the house to mid-way through the boulevard replaced with PVC 13 years ago at great expense). Jason & Dillon use fiber optic cameras and were able to inspect the whole line and see that there were indeed areas of significant tree root growth in the section under the street, including some areas where grease had gotten mixed in with the roots. I opted for their high pressure water jet service rather than traditional cable to clear it because it can be used with a camera to ensure a greater degree of clearing can happen, and since traditional cabling had failed twice before on my last two service calls to another provider. They used the PVC access point on my boulevard and were able to quickly clear the tree roots, and also identified a rusted constriction at the point of the juncture with the city sewer which they opened up. (I notified the city, who then said they would flush the main line the following week). The section Jason & Dillon were working on likely had never had any clearing in the previous times I had the line cleared because these places were 110-140 feet out from the access point in the basement, longer than most cables go. The price was more than double what the local guys charge, but that included mileage from Yankton, which was reasonably priced considering the distance. Their equipment is also more expensive than most general plumbers have. Since they only specialize in smaller jobs and drain clearing, they can get you fit in faster than a general service plumber and have the tools and expertise to get the job done right, the first time. While it was expensive, in the end, this is better than having sewage back into your house multiple times, as happened to me, and end up paying more for multiple ineffective service calls. Due to me being able to see the condition of the remaining clay pipe myself, I was able to have the reassurance that these sections are still in good shape, I'm not facing another $10K plus replacement of more line, and due to the thorough cleaning that had not been done before I am less likely to have to deal with it again in the next 10 years. Pictures included in this review show their fiber optic camera at the intersection of my sewer with the city, documenting a rust constriction that they opened up. Other picture is the team operating the water jetter with the fiber optic camera at the same time to see the clearing as they work.

Jason and Dillon provide a great service to Yankton and the surrounding areas. They are quick, efficient and clean up after a job. The huge thing is they show up when they say they will and are reasonably priced. We highly recommend them!
