We were in a pinch on a Sunday with backed up sewer and no ability to use our facilities. George came out without a hitch and took of us. We immediately felt that George knew what he was doing and that he wasn't trying to rip us off. He got us in working condition temporarily, cancelled a job for Monday, and was out to fix our problem the next day with his son and helper. Can't say enough about this company. They are definitely good people!

After two years of keeping it flowing, it finally became time to replace our sewer line so of course I called George! He did a trenchless replacement for less than my friends and neighbors paid, did it quickly, and as usual he and his team were polite and efficient on the job. He even offered less expensive stop-gap measures but ultimately we had him do the ""full job."" I'll never call anyone else!!

I always try and go with family owned business whenever possible. Like everyone looking for a plumber around the holidays, of course I had an immediate need. My bathtub wasn't draining. Tried the usual drain chems which usually work. But alas, too much hair has probably clogged up the tub. Called these guys based on customer reviews for my immediate area. Spoke to George and he agreed to come out within the hour.
***Usually plumbers charge overtime during off hours, weekends and holidays but they do not. That's pretty rare.***
George and his son Jordan were at my door in under an hour and fixed up the stoppage in less than an hour. They were friendly, efficient, cleaned up after themselves and affordable. George was nice enough to give me a little bit of a discount as well. I'll be using these guys for future plumbing needs. And I'll be sure to recommend them to others. Thanks for doing a great job guys.
I will definitely use The Drain Defender again for future plumbing needs and will highly recommend them to others.

George and his son were amazing. They went out of their way to add me to their call list, took care of my issue completely and quickly, were incredibly pleasant and professional and the price was more than reasonable. I'll be calling them again. :)

So as with most people reviewing a plumbing company, I had a major plumbing problem LOL. The weekend after Thanksgiving I had a sewer pipe break, The house was built in 1956 and I think that the pipes may have been the ones the builders put in back then. I called on Sunday afternoon and they were out to see me and my problem first thing Monday morning. The gave me a great price to re-plumb the whole houses sewer lines. Mario really put me at ease about the whole thing. He was able to get started the next morning and were done two days later exactly as he told me.
Everyone that worked on it were nice and very efficient. I had one other problem that had to do with the venting on the bathroom and they were able to fix it. I plan on using them anytime that I have a Plumbing problem. Great Company.

A fantastic experience from start to finish :)
Let me preface this with a) the limited occasions for the of use the word ""fantastic"" when referring to plumbing repair, and b) the fact that we had to part with a lot of money due to needing a main line, trenchless replacement. Even so, still going to go with the all-the-more meaningful word ""fantastic.""
OK, so here it is... Poop kept invading our house. We have a couple toddlers, so I have a hard enough time keeping poop off me & our stuff. NOTHING can prepare you for waking up or coming home to poop flooding out of the toilet and on to your life. Once it gets in the carpets it's NEVER COMING OUT.
I should probably bring up the villain in this tale: The Ficus
We've had a love/hate relationship with our ficus trees in the front since we moved in a few years back. They're pretty! They have birds in them! They're the only plant this parent-of-young children has managed not to kill due to lack of care or watering in the front of our house! All that said, ficus are also vile, invasive, water-hunting, pipe-destroying predators.
As you can imagine, the ficus tree that some genius (maybe before Google?!) planted directly over our mainline plumbing caused issues. I did extensive research on the options to resolve this (tree removal, hydro jetting, pipe materials (ours were clay), trenched and trenchless repairs [fun fact: Eric Wood invented the latter in 1971]); in the end, we decided that a camera check & the trenchless would probably be the way to go.
I located several nearby companies with the expected qualifications that they be experienced in trenchless repairs, are licensed, bonded, and insured, have decent Yelp reviews, and didn't have any BBBureau complaints. With some price comparison, Drain Defender came out on top. They're genuinely a nice group of people to work with. It's like having a kind uncle pick up the phone and let you know it's all going to be taken care of, quickly, for a fair price.
So at last, we stuck a camera down into the undermost regions of our driveway. The find? OMG sweet-potato-sized roots invading along the length of the main line. Dirt filling the pipes. Madness & despair.
Luckily Mario & the Drain Defenders team were able to get us a quick quote and have the whole job (cutting cement, digging WAY deep, pipe bursting & trenchless replacement, city permits & inspection, cement re-pour) done & wrapped up in just 2 days! That's crazy fast (because they're pros).
So all in all, I don't wish a main line repair on anyone; but if you have one, these guys are a good decision waiting to happen.
And I'm a real person and all, so mssg me if you want any further details.
Good luck out there brave LA homeowners!

Needed an estimate for a new clean out for my older house. Called George, he came out last night, ran a camera down the sewer, gave my a lot more info re: my sewer than I had gotten from previous plumbers, changed a leaky connection on the toilet and DID NOT charge one penny. Great guy, great service. George is awesome!

These guys are the real deal. Honest, upfront, personable, skilled and reasonable. I needed a plumber to fix two toilets in my house. They were very communicative in setting up a time, and they were out here the next day. Jordan arrived at my house, and assessed the situation, which needed parts. He went out to get the parts and came back, promptly. They made sure the work was perfect, and left me with a very fair bill. They even gave me a Starbucks gift card. I will definitely be using them again.

George is an amazing person as well as an amazing plumber! He knows his stuff and has all the high tech equipment too. My main line was clogged and all three toilets were backing up into the showers, my washing machine too. The whole house was backed up and it was Sunday! We called another place but they charged double time and we called around and found The Drain Defenders and they came out right away. George showed us our lines with a camera and told us how to fix the problem. He cleared our lines and showed us we could have some major problems down the road if we don't have some things fixed in the future. I was a little scared at the news because of the high costs of replacing pipes, but George has a way to line the pipes at a fraction of the cost. I explained to George that we would have to wait to do any major work because our finances. I had been hospitalized 3 times this year and am still recovering from being blind for a short period of time. My husband has the whole month of December off so our finances are strained. George, who I just met, cleared our pipes and gave us great advice, refused to let us pay him! What!? This guy is an angel with a heart of gold! Thank you George for showing us such a great kindness. I am totally blown away by this man! Anyone who needs a plumber, this is your guy! He knows his stuff. 25 years of experience and loves people! You can't go wrong with The Drain Defenders!

These guys are awesome! Yesterday during Thanksgiving dinner our kitchen sink got clogged up (of course it did!). I first tried calling Roto-Rotor. Big Mistake. They wanted $400 to un-clog the drain. Said it would take an hour and a half to do. I paid them $50 to go away. So then I called George at The Drain Defender. He answered the phone himself on Thanksgiving evening. Already a good sign! I asked if he could come the next morning. He said he could be there at 10:00AM and he was there at 10:00AM with his apprentice Pablo. They were in-and-out in a half-hour and charged me a quarter of the price of Roto-Rotor's holiday rate. George is now my go-to plumber. I highly recommend them. A+
