Coming home from a walk with the dog I noticed water shooting in the air from a pipe on the side of my house...flower bed flooded! I tried to turn off the sprinklers at the control box but nothing was working. I turned to yelp and started randomly dialing anyone who provided emergency plumbing services. Thank goodness the Drain Defenders answered. They helped me realize this was something a gardener or sprinkler company could handle and offered to connect me with people they trusted. The gentleman on the phone walked me through turning the outside water off, and even asked me to call back so he could make sure I was able to get everything shut off..AND to make sure I still had water running inside. All of this happened at 8 o'clock at night when I'm sure all he wanted to do was check out.
I'll have my gardener make the fix tomorrow, but am so thankful for The Drain Defenders help tonight. When I'm looking at vendors, genuine niceness goes such a long way. Hopefully I don't have plumbing issues anytime soon, but if I do I will be calling these guys for sure. Thank you!!!

Mario from Drain Defenders(DD) just left our home after another successful job. This is our second time using DD. If you are looking for conscientious plumbers that take their time to do the job right. And that you the customer is completely satisfied with the work. Look no further than Drain Defenders. Example: A part had to be ordered to be repair my faucet. They let me know it would take about a week to get the part. When they found out the part wasn't going to be available until the following week, they called to apologize about not having the part and they would call the follow week. Which they did. They came out the following week and successfully completed the job. I highly recommend Drain Defenders.

Ok, calling a plumber sucks, especially when you are dealing with Shit that's your own. First you get crazy prices, doomsday scenarios & the run around.
Dealing with a potential expensive big job that needs to be addressed ASAP because it's all backed up. 1st plumber tries and fails, then turns around and tells me we need the big machinery that costs $$$$
So giving in because I feel I have no choice I decide to call someone else quickly before the big $$ machine arrives. Thank goodness I did because I got Jordan from Drain Defender. Came over before the other expensive company could arrive. Explained everything in detail after trying for himself & succeeding. Really appreciate the service & caring about his customers. That's why I feel good about supporting this business and giving such a huge thumbs up for Drain Defender. When shit goes bad in the plumbing world I'm calling these guys!! Thanks Jordan!! The most professional service I've had done by any contractor. In an industry that has arbitrary prices, this is the most reasonable honest experience I've ever had. I have a plumber contractor for life. Ask for Jordan, but the entire company was great!

I can't say enough about Jordan Lanier. Not only did he come to our rescue on a Saturday at my daughter's birthday celebration, but he was over and above on his expertise and quality of work. A true lifesaver. Very responsible respectful and professional ended up coming out Monday to help fix the problem with a new Clean out closer to the street. Now we have less chances of having the same problem years to come..and if it were to happen again it would be a lot easier to maintain and fix. Super knowledgeable about his work and extremely sweet, generous and helpful as a person. If I can give 10 stars I would. Thank you again for all your hard work and professionalism. We ran into some trouble with low water pressure a broken shut off valve and a bad pressure regulator. I called and talked to the owner who sent out Mario. We ended up finding out we had to replace over a 100 feet of broken pipe. Mario kept us informed every step of the way, they even continued working during a downpour! We have had some bad experiences with plumbers and I felt confident the whole time. They were a great crew, very professional and had us back in business in no time. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is this is a company I trust and a great team of guys.

George and his team visited my house back in 2017 and we were so impressed that my husband wrote the review below. When we found ourselves with a clogged sink this week, George came out to house personally the next day and fixed things in a flash (turns out my hair was the culprit, as it usually is!). In addition to being an amazing plumber, George also happens to be one of the sweetest, most genuine guys ever. I can't?recommend?d The Drain Defender guys enough! If you have any plumbing issues, these are the guys to call, hands down!


Our glowing review from 2017: I can't say enough about everyone at The Drain Defender, from Mario and his team? to the owner George who stopped by two separate times during the work to make sure everything was going well and we were satisfied?.

Look, as homeowners, we are automatically at a disadvantage when a plumber is needed: it is usually a major issue in your home that NEEDS to be repaired immediately, so the plumber holds all the cards. In addition, you kind of have to trust what they say, and just hope they aren't trying to rip you off. Mario made sure that both of those concerns were taken care of. He was honest and upfront about what needed to be done, then showed me incontrovertible? evidence to back it up. (In our case, all our sinks and shower drains were constantly backing up. After another (unnamed) company blamed the issue on roots in our main sewer line, Mario assured me that that wasn't the issue. And while our old cast iron pipes under our house DID need to be replaced, he was completely upfront about what I could to do minimize the cost (what areas ?we could hold off from replacing for a few years, that sort of thing). I never once got the sense he was trying to upsell me or force me to have unnecessary work done.

As far as the QUALITY of their work, it was outstanding. These poor guys worked in the heaviest rain LA has seen in 10 years, crawling under my house in a tight, muddy crawlspace. They? were constantly updating me as to the progress, showing me the disgusting, corroded pipes they were pulling out from under the house that, again, would reassure anyone who looked at them that this was not a frivolous procedure, it was absolutely necessary. They went above and beyond to replace a number of drains inside my house as well, to ensure that the water would drain without issue.

As I said before, the owner, George, who wasn't working on the job himself, came by the house twice over the two-day? job to introduce himself, answer any additional questions we may have had, and just made us feel confident about the choice we made. His son, Jordan, also worked on Mario's team and he was as helpful, gracious and courteous as can be. (Our water heater also burst in the middle of having the pipes replaced, Jordan came back on a Saturday with his father to install the new one for me.)

All in all, it was a two-day? job (plus the hour or so to remove and replace the old water heater). They gave me a great, competitive rate and were so professional and personable. I can't recommend them highly enough.
