The Drain Co
Company Overview

Kay C.This Company is great! The people who answer the phone are knowledgable, nice and polite. They actaully called to tell me the plumber was on his way and he was and showed up within the time frame expected. The plumber was neat clean, efficient and the whole thing was soooo reasonable. I had him check both my toilets that kept threatening to over flow. I had some calcium build up and he handled it and that was that. The last thing I want is the toilet over flowing, so now i don't have to worry!
Robert G.Called at 10:30 AM on Thur. 5/31, and by 11:30 the same day the serviceman ,""George"" had already come and cleared my bathroom drain .Not only was the service great, but the price was also awesome ! You don't get service like this anymore, and there's no up selling or any kind of hustling. The only thing that's getting cleaned out is your drains. I would recommend this company and there service any day of the week!
Major drainage clog in kitchen and laundry last Saturday. I call my home insurance company and they send out Shady Plumbing Co., Inc. Two hours later, and a huge mess left for me to clean up later, that plumber announces he has snaked 70ft and can't fix the problem (but he has a guy who can hydrojet, which is what is needed and he'll get me a good price). When I decline and say I want to go through the insurance company, he tells me that there are roots in the system and that he'll report this to the company (which then absolves them of all further work, leaving me in the lurch). His last words, don't use the kitchen or laundry until someone comes out here and fixes this.
After another plumber scheduled an appointment for today (Tues) and then stood me up and told me to find someone else, I did: The Drain Co.! YES, exactly as people here write and suggest...
Called at 10:30am, and Ramon came by 12:30pm. Looked things over. Was careful and courteous. Went to work and within 30 minutes time, the major problem is resolved efficiently, cleanly, and cheaply.
I'm not looking for more plumbing issues any time soon, but if I have them then I know where I am turning. What a relief to have found. Recommended for sure.
This company is an example of the right way to do business. I had a backed up drain and called Roto-Rooter, never having had that problem before and knowing the name. They showed up an hour late and the guy quoted me $250. I had a bad feeling about the guy and price so passed. I called the Drain Co around 8:00 pm and got a call back within 30 minutes from Tom the technician. He said he could come out that night but its more expensive so we made an appointment for 9:00 am. He was there on time and did an amazing job. He went way above and beyond and fixed it for $89.50. No up-selling, no BS, just honest and good work. I highly recommend them. Don't waste time with the big name companies, it will cost you more and the service won't be half as good.
James B.Unfortunately our company is located in an older building and sometimes the drain line backs up. The only good thing about this is The Drain Co. They are always there when we need them. Their prices are very reasonable and the complete the job without problems. Whenever we have drain issues they're the ones we call.
Mark R.Truly as promised.
The handyman I use recommended them and they came out on a timely basis. Spent as much time as needed to correct problems and were very fairly priced.
No surprises and told me if we had additional problems with their work they would come back
The techs that came were professional and wonderful to deal with.
Would use them again and recommend them highly
Stephen S.Came out with a more than a fair price, (I was used to 200.00) no upsells or baloney.
My wife thinks she can put anything down the garbage disposal and it will go down.
Fast and friendly service puts this company way ahead of the others i have used.
You're not paying for radio spots, just the cleaning.
I would highly recommend The Drain Company without a second thought.
We have been a continuous user of drain cleaning services since we bought our home in 2000. The house has a beautiful tree right near the front door 3 feet away from where the main sewer line for the house connects through a double coupling to the main line to the street. The tree towers over the front and really makes the ""curb appeal"" for the house spectacular. However it's roots continuously grow through the seams in the coupling.
The first few years we called drain cleaners every 3-4 months and tried several services. Each time was a tug-of-war because their price would escalate when they showed up significantly above what they quoted on the phone. They had all kinds of reasons: bad clean-out location at ground, plants too close, electrical outlet not close, roof vent location too far, surcharge for lifting the rig, surcharge for fuel etc... It always started at $99 and ended up between $159 (Roto-Masters) and $249 (Mike Diamond).
We had the line scoped with a camera and identified the root problem at the double coupling next to the tree. Re-lining wasn't an option as our problem wasn't in the main line but at the coupling. The only solution was to dig it up which would have killed the tree and ruined the look of the house. Finally we replaced the sewer lines in the house and front yard with oversized ABS to eliminate every other issue except the tree. We installed clean-outs within 8 feet on either side of the coupling, one in the front wall with a cement brick path through the plants, the other in the front lawn at ground level. We even installed a dedicated 20 amp outlet by the front door for the snake rigs.
It was expensive but at least we figured our quarterly drain cleanings would be only $99. Boy were we mistaken. They still tried to charge more once they showed up. We tried lots of services, mostly from the Yellow Pages or internet but it was always a hassle to haggle over price. We concluded that's just how the industry worked.
Last night at 8 PM our shower backed up. I called two services to schedule a cleaning first thing in the morning. One had a voice mail and never called back, the other Mike Diamond quoted $99 base plus charges as applicable, but they couldn't show up until 1 PM the next day. I pushed for an earlier window because I was calling the night before, the best he could do was 8 AM - 1 pm. It was like calling the cable company! Mike Diamond has more trucks than any other service, they charge more than anybody else, and all they can give you is a 5 hour window?
This morning at 8 AM I went on Yelp and found The Drain Co. After reading the reviews I called and left a message. Just like I'd read, Vicky called me back in about 4-5 minuets and had a truck out within the hour. Rick showed up, looked at the job, quoted $89 (I was pleasantly surprised), and within 10 minuets we were clear. No hassles, no haggling, no gouging, no mess, punctual, polite and reasonably priced.
We liked the service so much I called Vicky to schedule a Service Contract for clean-outs quarterly to maintain the line.
I've always had pretty good luck with Yelp. But this time it was outstanding. The service I received from the Drain Co. was so fantastic It was way beyond what every other drain cleaning service offers. And believe me, at 3-4 times a year over 12 years we've tried them all. Thanks Vicky and Rick for providing a long term solution and reigniting my faith in small business!
I called Drain Company for a simple cleanout for my mom's house, and it went perfect.
Then, a week later, my own drain clogged. My house is extremely difficult access and a long, long, long run to the street's sewer, with lots of roots in the line.
Rick and Rocky came out and they worked four hours straight getting my line clean.
They came when they said they would, they stayed at the quoted price even though it took them four hours, they worked diligently, cleaned up when they were through, and maintained a cheerful sense of humor throughout.
This drain needs cleaning every 2 or 3 years and alot of different people have come to clean the drain, but this is the only company I'll call again.
Ask for Rick and Rocky!
The Drain Co. is the kind of business you don't really think about until you NEED them. Well, I needed them this morning and they arrived within two hours of my initial call. Removed the roots from my main drain clear to the street and I am back in business.
A friend referred me to the Drain Co. many years ago when I'd been living in a plumbing hell. With enough chemicals poured down the affected drain to blow the house off its foundation and an initial plumber's attempt and subsequent failure to clear what I envisioned had to be concrete in my tub/shower drain, the Drain Co. responded and fixed the problem in less than 15 minutes. And they did it from the roof!
Their fees are more than reasonable and they have my business for life!
