I contacted the civilized plumber for an estimate of work on a p-trap. The service would require cutting the ceiling open which would in turn need a drywall install. When I reached out to schedule the service it went smoothly; however, when I asked about the information of the drywall installer this is when things took a turn. I was not responded to and had to follow-up multiple times. I then wrote the team to note it was frustrating to have to follow-up so much on a crucial part of the work. For some reason using the word """"frustrating"""" apparently was not seen as polite and I was labeled rude. I tried to explain my view point but was prompted to cancel my appointment. I really wouldn't recommend using this business because it's quite unprofessional the response I received, and I also find it alarming that a customer can't voice a viewpoint. I think businesses should be open to feedback and work with clients to reach a solution or at least acknowledge the viewpoint especially if it is factual. My main concern with this business is I can't imagine needing to solution with them if something goes wrong on the job site. The team feels inflexible, insensitive, and unprofessional. There are a million and one service agents in Atlanta, I'd keep searching and not utilize this team. Customers deserve to have a professional communication dialogue.

Great experience. I had a new gas line run and a shower repair. Excellent communication throughout the entire process, on time, and fair pricing. Dale and his crew were extremely professional - highly recommend.

I've used Dale on several houses I've renovated, and he's definitely the best plumber I've ever used. He's very honest and always does a great job. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Very decent prices and great service. Very nice and professional. They are a bit busy and don't be emergency services. I used them to install a toliet and a dishwasher. I would recommend!

The whole team of The Civilized Plumber team we dealt with was awesome! (Nina, Art and Dale). It was so easy to communicate with them to schedule/reschedule the appointment and the day Art and subsequently Dale showed up, they really shined. Both of them spent enough time to diagnose the issue at hand. Dale (the owner) truly is a gentleman and very patient. He just did the work which he thought was necessary and billed a very reasonable amount for time it took to do the work.

After we bought a 110 year old house, I had these guys out to do a bunch of plumbing work. They spent all day here and then came back for a second day. It took longer than they expected because of the prior, somewhat shoddy work, and because of the age of the house. Their cost estimate still turned out to be fairly accurate and all the work was done to a high standard. I appreciate the care that they took and will be calling The Civilized Plumber for all my future needs.

It's hard to find a high-quality, fair priced company to come fix stuff at your house. So when you find one, it's important to support them. I have found one in The Civilized Plumber. There are three plumbers at the company: Dale, Doug, and Art. They have different personalities for sure; I can see how some reviewers may prefer someone more affable or another who just gets down to business. I am happy to have all three. And the office manager Nina is impossibly helpful and friendly. Each time they come to my house, I feel like I'm going to be taken care of. They are much less expensive than the big guys and I they've never tried to sell me something I don't need. They also have taken the time to educate me a little on the way my plumbing works. I feel lucky to have found someone I can trust.

I have had this company out a couple of times. I must say that Dale was great, did the job well, and had a great attitude. However, he has a tall guy (in his 30's, I'd guess) that has not impressed me due to his poor attitude. I would definitely use this company again if I knew that Dale (or the new, younger guy he has working for him) would be coming and not the guy with the poor attitude.

Okay, this review is actually about a misunderstanding that took place. It has nothing to do with their services, but everything to do with trust and responsibility. Let me explain what happened. 1. We got their information from the Better Business Bureau and called the number provided. Person at the other end acted a little suspicious and rude. Called back after we hung up demanding to know who called him. Was very upsetting at the time. What happened afterward changed this review from 1 to 4 stars. 2. So it appears that the number from the Better Business Bureau was the young person's personal number and he's been getting a ton of calls there all week. He gets what he thinks is another scam call and, understandably, wants to know who this one more caller is. He has no idea that this is a legit customer. I might have done the same in his position. 3. I come on here and write a review because, frankly, I was insulted at the way my wife and I were treated by a total stranger representing a local business. Now, here's where things change-- 4. The owner sees the review, confronts the young man, and instead of playing the denial game that so many managers and owners play, admits to the error, corrects the young man, and has the young man call to apologize for the way he treated us. I could have left this review alone and let it stand as a warning to treat strangers on the phone with courtesy regardless of what one thinks is happening, but the guy earned my respect with his response. Not many would do what he did, and he deserves to be rewarded, or at the very least, not penalized. If I knew his services were as good as many say, I would've given 5 stars instead of 4, but this review is based solely upon my dealings with the owner and, as the ratings state, I'm a fan--at least of the way he handled the situation. I hope that young man learned a life lesson that will help him make better choices next time.

I've had the civilized plumber come out twice for 2 different issues and both times they handled the problem with no hassle and at a fair price. Highly recommend!
