Never leave reviews but this has to be said. I give him a 1 star because I can't give him 0. Contacted him about a job and asked specifically If he would be able to do it. I even sent him pics. He schedules me out 4 days which is fine. He asks for money in advance and I say ok how would you like it? After we didn't have his bank of choice he says that he would just pick up the check on the day of the work. I reach out to him the day before he is scheduled to arrive about who the check should be made out to. He gives me the name. The day of the job he contacts me early that morning saying he won't make it at the scheduled time, but will be 1-2 hrs late. (scheduled for 10am and he said he would get there between 11-12). I say it's fine. He then calls me at 11:27am saying he lost workers and and couldn't unlock his ladder so we should find someone else for the job! Then he said that he had a ladder that """"May"""" work but he didn't want to waste gas on a maybe. REALLY? At this point I am livid because we discussed on the day he was hired how we needed the job done for an event. This is terrible business so I wanted to make it known. DO NOT HIRE HIM. He showed no remorse and was very unprofessional. 0 stars!

I contracted with The Better Tradesman to repair our deck's back door frame by replacing and painting. I paid 50% up front. On the day of service, he informed me that the job would cost 50% more because materials had increased in cost. I paid for all materials and was still charged more. He and his wife were late, had the wrong tools and took 2 days to complete a 4 hour job. On top of that, he damaged the door unit, did not repair it and did not paint what he had done.

Great service from a seasoned professional. Mr. Carrol and his apprentice did several small jobs at my house - installed light fixture, pressure washed exterior, replaced fridge water supply line, talked me through potential issues so no surprises happened. Excellent workmanship! He kept excellent, detailed records, and was outstanding about prompt communication. I plan to keep his number close at hand for future jobs.

We called Charles last year to install a Gas line For new Samsung smart washer and dryer. Took Some quick improvisation in the fly, but Charles got it done. Instead of jacking prices up(like a few entry level carpenters ) he went above the call of duty free of charge! (Free of charge) We never forgot that! A year later (07/19)while in the midst of a diy (seems like a year long )bathroom installation in the man cave. You guessed it we called our go to guy Charles (and he even negotiated a lower price than initial quote) Within 3 hrs we had shower diverter, toilet and vanity installed.. happy to say the man cave finally has a toilet. And we have one happy customer that had to let Cobb county residents know That Charles is definitely the Better Tradesman. Thanks again Charles you're the Man

Charles had done a lot of renovations in my townhouse, both inside and out. He's done a fabulous job every single time. I highly recommend him!

Hired Charles for small jobs around the house having just purchased a home. Hanging curtain rods, towel holders etc. he finished time and the agreed upon twice and communicated well.

Ugh... Trust me, as a newly divorced single mom I was very careful who I hired. I liked Charles immediately. His reviews were good so I hired him, GOING ON FOUR MONTHS AGO. He told me my jobs would take two weeks so I went out of town for three. Came back to barely anything done. I mistakenly paid him in advance. Yes, I'm an idiot for that but I trusted him. He has since given me three deadlines that aren't even close to being met. He is in poor health and has a horrible work ethic. Everyday it's an excuse. As much as I wanted to believe he would finish my projects he hasn't and he's not going to. I had to fire him and now I have to take him to Small Claims Court.

Looked this guy up after searching for someone trust worthy and professional... and after meeting with him, many projects later, I can say that it was a great great discovery! Knowledgable in a vast number of skill sets, humble, down to earth, and trustworthy! I recommend Charles for any project you have!
