I wanted to like this company. I saw so many good reviews about them. Eugene came right over and told us what was wrong with the toilet that kept running. It needed a simple part. We had a lot of plumbing issues that needed to be fixed. We decided to do the most critical, the running toilet first.

What he did not tell us was there was a flat fee to come out and fix it.(I guess our bad for not asking.) His assistant came out and replaced the part we discussed on our toilet. This is when he sprung the flat fee cost of $125 to us. Surprise. The guy spent 15 minutes putting in the part. We were given no receipt.

Hours later, the toilet is still running. I called Eugene again. He said it would cost another flat $125 to come see why it is still running. He then said it would be better to ask Kohler to replace the toilet. I asked for a copy of our receipt (this was the third time asking for a copy) several times. No receipt.

Of course being an older toilet, Kohler will not replace it and I am out $125.

I called to get a water leak fixed on a Friday afternoon. Eugene was busy, but came out to Sunnyvale at quitting time and quickly identified the problem and proceeded to replace my water heater in short order. He was professional and friendly, and I couldn't really ask for any better service. I'll definitely be calling on him for any future work that I need done.

Kitchen drain stopped up, I tried everything from baking soda/vinegar to a whole bottle of Liquid Plumber. No joy. Called The Art of Plumbing, and within a few hours of my call, Eugene and his team showed up promptly at the time he promised. Less than an hour later, no more blockage, everything back to normal. Eugene is courteous, knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and easy to deal with. Bravo!

UPDATE 10-Jan-17: had a non-emergency job that I'd been putting off. Texted Eugene on Friday and he sent Bill the following Monday. Bill is every bit as competent, courteous, and professional as Eugene and the rest of the Art of Plumbing staff. These guys are the best!

Eugene and his team just finished changing all pipes in my house, installed new water heater. They were professional, punctual with all supplies they needed ( so you don't have to run to store to get something which you need to provide to your contractor). AND the best of all not only the price was unpar with other licensed plumbers but they also did all the work in one day. It felt like he did his homework, planned ahead and completed project without a hitch. Considering my latest experiences with contractors in CA, I would say if you need a plumber Eugene should be in your phone address book. I will definitely will use them again.

Ah, I have to mention one more thing he said he can apply for city permits when you need it and if anyone ever faced this dilemma they will know how much time it takes besides money.

Leaking 40 Gal water heater. Eugene came the same evening I called and installed a new one. He took care to make sure all the old fittings were in good shape and replaced those that were not. Highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I had a kitchen sink clogged, and we called Roto Rooter to get a quote on how much to fix it. They said it would be $100 discounted price but came and told us that because we live in a condo and we don't have a ""clean out"" under the sink, they would have to charge us their corporate pricing of $450. Yeah, no thanks lol.

So we called Eugene and asked for a quote, and he was extremely helpful right away. No bull to try and rip us off, he asked if we had a clean out over the phone, we said no and he said no problem it should be about $150 which is about what it should be. He showed up and was extremely nice, professional, and fixed our standing water clog in under an hour. No bull while he was here, just an honest guy cleaning peoples pipes :) We will definitely be using him again next time we have plumbing issues. Give em a call, great service you won't be disappointed!
