I have seen some negative reviews which was definitely not the experience that I had. My sister had called Thacker to do a shower enclosure. She had used them a few years before for a plumbing issue and was impressed with their work. I live in Michigan and when I came in to see my sister I saw the job that was done. Very poor workmanship and the job not completed. I pointed out these things to her and she spoke with the person that did the work. He said that he would correct those issues. Long story short, the wrong shower surround was used, drywall work above the shower. In the interim, this employee was let go by Thacker for unnamed issues. My sister called Thacker and they came out and inspected the work. The owner said this work was not reflective of their company's standards. He said that he was correcting several other jobs done by this former employee. They completely removed and replaced the drywall, shower and surround. The work done by them was top notch. I'm sure this cost them a good amount of money to correct this situation, but it was done correctly. It shows the integrity of this company and it's owners. My sister or I would not hesitate to recommend or use Thacker Plumbing in the future.

They came out to review our A/C and then proceeded to tell us that they don't stock the refrigerant for our unit and we would have to call a larger service company to resolve the issue. They had no issue charging us. Disappointed!

Unprofessional plumbing staff. That threaten to walk out in the middle of a job, for an imaginary insult. Poor customer relations.

This contractor started a job and never returned to finish. He was hired by my general contractor and after being paid for their early on work never responded to finish the project. I'm now left having to find a replacement. I would never recommend this contractor.

My basement grinder pump quit working so I called Thacker to set up an appointment on Thursday morning December 5. The lady said the plumber would call me later. No call that day. On Friday morning she called and again said the plumber would call. No call Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday. I ended up finding another plumber who did the job today, December 10.

I can understand that craftsmen can be very busy but I cannot justify any excuse for a professional not at least calling and either setting up an appointment or telling me that they are too swamped with work. This is the age of easy communication, after all!

Mr. Thacker needs to revise his ways of doing business, in my opinion.

Called Thacker to fix my Central air. They come out, ""fix it"", and the next day it stops working again. Call them again and they immediately come back & ""fix it"", but my AC unit outside sounded like a freight train. I call another company to come out & the entire fan was cracked out in the unit. I'm glad they were so responsive however they seem to not be as thorough as they should be.

Water was coming from our furnace onto our basement floor. We called Thackers on a Friday and they came within a few hours. He fixed the problem AND added some things to ensure this wouldn't happen again. Didn't charge a fortune, was very nice and prompt... Have recommended very many times!

I called Thacker Plumbing & Heating because there was water on the floor in front of the new furnace. This occurred with the old one as well. My call was late afternoon on a Friday and within 30 minutes a serviceman arrived and in another 30 minutes he found the issue, fixed it and we said goodbye.

Once again, great service, friendly personnel & professionalism.
