Used THA in 2015 to repair and older AC unit in Jamul. It was great service, reasonable price, no issues. Recently, I contacted them because of my first experience and it took 2 weeks for appointment... Ok no big deal I understand its busy right now for HVAC. Well the day came and SDGE had an outage in my area so I had to reschedule. I reschedule for a 1-4 slot, arrange my day so I can be home and at 4pm get a call that the tech won't be here till 5pm. I had to take my child to Karate so once again I reschedule. I tell them I need another 1-4 slot and wait a few more days. Morning of my appt, I'm getting ready for work and the tech calls to ask if he can come early because I'm the farthest out he wants to start with me. I said ""No, I had obligations and explained that when I scheduled, that I've been waiting weeks"" he acted like he was trying to do me a favor, never offered to keep my time slot, nothing. I called the office and asked for a manager only to get the ""office manager"" she proceeds to act like its my fault. I finally just cancelled and went with Pacific Heating & Air. Same day appointment and they actually showed up!

If i could give 0 stars i would. THA was contacted by my property management to come out and change filters and clean vents after popcorn ceiling removable resulted in pneumonia. I took the day off and waited for the serviceman to arrive to tell me they don't clean ducts. I called the proper management who said she specifically asked and they said yes or she would have booked another company that does both. So the tech changes the filter tests all and says everything is in good working order. Except once he leaves i try the a/c and its blowing out hot air. Of course no one can come back for a week snd to hell that it was for medical reasons, so i arrange my elderly parents to be there as i cant take another day off for this. Today my parents waited and waited, finally they received a call after the window of time they told me and the service person came and left as he didn't have the adder extension to reach the roof. As he never knocked or spoke to my parents or came inside how does he know he needed the ladder? The a/c unit is in my house. Needless to say they will be back tomorrow and i will lose out on incomes as i have to leave work early. IF I HAD THE CHOICE I WOULD NEVR USE THIS COMPANY. They lied first off saying they did duct work and then a week to get someone out to fix what should have been a simple filter change due to a medical need. Unacceptable...Poor customer service and inefficient servicemen.

Good value. They showed up early for their install, and right on time for the estimate. They honored their contract price, and performed all jobs as indicated on the contract. There was some trouble during the install, and when everything was installed, it would not turn on, so they called one of their seasoned experts to come over to finish up the install, after a 2 hour wait, he showed up and got it running, but they completed the job as promised before the end of the day, and now its all installed and running.

Many thanks to Hector( supervisor) and Ismael (technician) for the great job replacing my ancient furnace. Good people to have in your home and I would have them back any time. Ask for Ismael by name....he's a wonderful person and extremely knowledgeable...will use them again in the future..

I have used them twice during heat waves no less. The first time I had 3 companies before them who could not diagnose the problem. Another company wanted over $2,500.00 to fix my A/C unit. They came in and repaired the wiring and replaced a blown fuse for less than $100.00. Hmmm.....

I just called them again during the most recent heat wave and of course they fixed the problem in less than an hour. What's remarkable is they did my job when they could have been doing more expensive jobs. The technician Enrique, was super nice and he arrived on time. I would give then more stars if Yelp would let me........

Using SDG&E's ""System Assessment & Improvement"" program, I was assigned to THA Heating & Air to perform the service. This is not a free service. I scheduled the work to be done and THA missed the appointment completely. When I called towards the end of the appointment window, the operator said the technician was held up and wouldn't make it. Half of my day blown waiting for them during a weekday, but hey... it was during one of the heat waves, so I let it slide. Any business can make a mistake.

2nd appointment. Same thing. Again, they didn't show up or bother to call. I finally called the company and they said the technician couldn't make it. They said call back the next day to reschedule an appointment.

3rd appointment, they said they couldn't schedule it and would call back when they had an availability. No call for a week.

Called again and no one answered the phone for the afternoon.

Requested another contractor through SDG&E. They can't connect me with another contractor, so they called the president at THA. President responded to them, ""He should call and schedule appointment.""

Well if it were only that simple.

I have used THA at least 5 times in the past and have referred them several times to other people in the building. This week I set up an appointment to service 4 A/C units in my condo complex after I had referred another person to have an A/C serviced in the building. When I made the appointment, she said her tech may not be able to do all 4 of the units in addition to the other unit being serviced but would come back next week to finish what he could not service. It turns out he didn't service any of the 4 units but did service one other unit in the building that was not planned to be serviced when I made my appointment. The service tech said he was not aware that there were other units in the building to be serviced today. The office called me back saying he could not get to any of the other units today.

I have referred THA to a number of owners in the complex in the past - I will be looking for another company to perform service from now on.

Best advice, go somewhere else!

Learn how to set expectations. If your tech says they will call the office at the end of the visit, then DO that. Secretaries, dial the correct number, and be efficient about it (don't call the tenant, when the property manager is the one waiting for the report). Show up when you say you are going to (not decide to show up 1.5 hours before the allotted time).

THA Heating And Air conditioning is a great company I would recommend to everyone they have Great customer service Mathew did a great job with my estimate gave us two energy-efficient estimates great price very detailed. Melissa did a great job with all projects contract financing docs. Permits and keeping us informed. Ismael and Victor did an outstanding job kept everything very clean and everything works beyond my expectations I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND ALL THE EMPLOYEES ARE OUTSTANDING OH GREAT QUALITY WORK AND EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS USED.
