As a landlord with properties in four different metro areas, these guys are probably my favorite service professional in any field, not just plumbing. They are everything I look for from a service provider. They get you on the books quickly. Their invoices are detailed down to the screw and minute. Their hourly rate is more than reasonable, and their friendly staff and owner goes out of their way to accommodate you. A few years ago, another local plumber, whose name I won't mention, had me over the barrel for a water heater installation on the first day of the summer season. He tried to fleece me to the tune of $2,500 just to replace the unit--no modifications to the existing plumbing were necessary. Bubba at Texas Backflow got a guy out there that day knowing I had no other options. Recently after the big freeze came through, they got to the house and the wrong key was in the lock box. Rather than blow me off and push me to the back of the long list of people waiting for repairs, they came back later in the day, after my neighbor had returned home and got the right key back in the lock box. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have nothing but praise for Bubba and his folks at Texas Plumbing and Backflow. We have used them for the last few years and have never been disappointed in their service level or fair pricing.
I would highly recommend TEXAS PLUMBING AND BACKFLOW for any and all your plumbing needs.
They are the best.

W only use Texas Plumbing and Backflow. They aare prompt, fast and never add on unnecessary work items. I highly reccomend them!

Since our wonderful plumber company of 20 years retired and sold their business, we have tried several plumbers for different needs, and just have not found one we have been satisfied with. We called Texas Plumbing and Backflow. The last plumber told us a simple faucet change could not be done without removing the side of the tub, and it was going to cost much more than we thought a simple faucet change should cost. Kelly came out today took one look at it, walked back to his truck, came in the with necessary parts, and replace it good as new in 15 minutes. I had read the reviews on this company, and want verify all the 5 stars are true. Thank you Texas Plumbing and Backflow.

We had Texas Plumbing come out and plumb a shower, toilet and double vanity for a new construction masterbath. Monty ran into some issues dealing with an older existing home but persevered through it all and did a fantastic job. So well in fact, had Bubba come back for another estimate and they will be doing a new bathroom upstairs. These guys are professional, friendly and innovative to work with.

These people are very good. I use to use Buddy's Plumbing when the original owners were in business. One of Buddy's plumbers referred me to these guys when he couldn't do the job. I used them twice within the past five years. I went to no water draining to quick draining.

As a property manager, I have used Texas Plumbing and back flow at least a dozen times. They are honest and do a great job. The only tough part is that they are busy. No wonder. I highly recommend this company.

I used Texas Plumbing and Backflow to replace a water heater and service a tankless water heater at my home this week. Of all the estimates and why my job was unique I got feed up with all the double talk and ridiculous estimates. I call Texas Plumbing and the owner, Bubba Stidhem, came and gave a sensible estimate. His crew showed up a few days later and completed the job without a hitch. Professional, courteous and efficient. I always look for the best fit for my home needs. I have found my plumber. Thanks Texas Plumbing and Backflow.

Unfortunate to see the other two reviews for them are so low. Here's my experience on two different occasions: TP&B came out last year when we had the really hard freeze to repair some busted pipes. They came out after dark to repair pipes, and replaced a house shutoff valve and at least three hose bibs.
This morning, they snaked a kitchen clean out that had 15+ years of build up and replaced a garbage disposal (which required a little re-piping and a lot of coaxing to break a silicon seal), all in less than one hour. I'm happy and more importantly, the wife is happy that it's all fixed and the cost was minor.

Our management company contacted Texas Plumbing and Backflow to repair a leak in our house in Jamaica Beach. The house is on pilings which makes access to the upstairs plumbing fairly easy. The job entailed unscrewing and removing a Hardi-board sheet to gain access to the plumbing. They also made two vertical cuts from a downstairs door to the ceiling. I suppose they needed to do this to find the sewer line leak as it was behind that wall. They repaired the PVC pipe and replaced the Hardi-board. They had not repaired the sheetrock the last time we were there. As I said this seemed like a fairly easy repair, but they charged us for 11.3 man hours for the job. We have no recourse because the management company has already paid the bill. We have described the job to a couple of other plumbers we know near our home and they say it sounds like about a 3 hour job. Needless to say we will never hire this company again.
