These guys came out twice to fix my A/C during the summer time. Now they just repaired my heating. They have always been very quick to get here (my home) and are very good at what they do. Today's repairman was Pete. He did a fine job and his efforts are greatly appreciated.

I had recently received a call from Autumn HVAC fora $20.00 winter maintenance special. When the technician came out to check on my heater and AC he discovered that my freon pressure was low in my AC which meant that I had a leak somewhere. After fiddling around with my AC unit in the garage he said that he found where the leak was and showed me a coil in my AC unit that had what appeared to be condensation and what he said was oil and stated that I would need to replace the coil which was going to cost me roughly $1,400.00 with discount. I had a minor heart attack hearing that news (not literally) but since it was December 20th I wasn't looking forward to having to spend an extra $1,400.00 on my AC. I asked the technician if it was only an issue with AC or was the heater impacted as well. He stated it was only the AC. I said good, because I do not have an exra $1,400.00 to spend at this time with Holidays upon us. After the Autumn technician left I called Texas Air Conditioning Specialists for a second opinion. Two technicians by the name of Pete and Eddie (great guys) came out to my house and advised me of a couple of things. 1st thing they noticed right away was that the previous technician failed to seal the panel he took off to get to the coil. Secondly, after viewing the coil they stated that there is not a leak and advised me what the inside of the unit would look like if there was. Also, the area where there was condensation earlier was now dry. When they went outside to check the pressure they asked me if I recently had work done on my AC. I advised them no. They said that there was an oily film on the grass next to the unit that appeared to be the residue that is left when freon is released from the unit. They stated if freon is released manually or due to malfunction the pressure would drop in unit. They asked if I was having issues with AC. I advised no, I only had Autumn come out because they had called me to take advantage of a maintenance special they were running. I was not experiencing any issues with AC nor Heater. When it was all said and done, Texas AC Specialist gave my AC Unit a clean bill of health. When I asked how much do I owe they said nothing but they will need to come out in the summer to pressurize my AC Unit with freon since it's hard to get a good reading in winter. I went from potentially having to spend $1,400.00 to 0.00 in a matter of hours. I am very grateful for the honest work of Texas AC Specialist and I am frankly appalled by the candidness of someone advising me I will need to pay $1,400.00 for a bogus repair during Christmas (SMH).

These guys are great. Justin has been out three separate times, for three separate issues, and each time he has done excellent work. And he is FAST. They have never once tried to upsell me, and have always tried to keep my costs to a minimum. I have referred many neighbors to TACS, and they have all been happy as well. Customer service has always been great as well.

I called TACS and got a quote from them after calling several other HVAC companies. They offered me the best price and came out the next day.The best part is they didn't charge me a dollar more! Installation was quick and painless leaving me with a cool 70º to chill in! Hoooray Texas Air Conditioning Specialist.

Thank you to Eric and Josh with TACS for keeping our AC going this summer. We had to have the fan motor replaced for $450 at the beginning of summer, and another part a couple of weeks ago which was $170. Much better than being out thousands for a new unit. Our home has been cooler this summer, with a lower electric bill, than the past two summers, even though we've had record temps. I appreciate their service!

Once again, thank you for great service! I am always greatly impressed with how quickly you send your repair staff to my home. Your service technician diagnosed my problem quickly and replaced the defective part from the adequate inventory in his service vehicle. You can only imagine how grateful we are for a great working A/C system in this very hot Texas weather we've been having for the last few months. There is not a single part of this transaction that was not flawless, from the easy scheduling to the incredibly fast service and the absolute courtesy of the service technician.

I have been a customer of Texas Air Conditioning Specialist for about 5 years now, and there is NO way we'd ever use another company. We trust this company explicitly, and you can too.

Water, water, everywhere. Who ya gonna call? Texas AC Specialist!

My condensation pump on my AC unit went out. I had water on the floor in my house and my AC wouldn't run at all. And of course, that had to happen during the hottest week in Austin history in forever. I called at 9:30AM and they could have someone at my house by 11AM! Who does that any more?

Don arrived and immediately assessed the problem. I needed a new pump. The quote wasn't outrageous, but I'd gotten laid off two days before, so he got the quote lowered for me AND they let me use the 10% off coupon.

When he came back with the pump, we talked while he installed. He was very personable, professional, and courteous. He told me that he really likes working for Texas AC and that they take care of their employees.

I believe a happy employee makes for a much better employee, hence all the great reviews on Yelp. I'm not sure who's in charge at Texas AC, but great job. Whatever kind of environment you create for your employees flows down to the excellent service they provide.

And kudos to Ashley, who I spoke to on the phone a couple of times. She was so kind and cheerful, and her voice was filled with such sunshine that it helped brighten my spirits in spite of all the crap I'd been hit with this week.

Now my house is cool again, and I'm writing this review on Yelp in the hope that others will call Texas AC and have an experience as good as mine. I don't think you'll regret it. (And don't forget to mention Yelp for the $65 free service call.)

What a GREAT experience. People actually answer the phone when you call them, technicians arrive on time and the pricing is reasonable. We've had several a/c companies come out for two separate a/c problems in the past. It appears after the visit today from Robert of Texas Air Conditioning Specialist, that the previous separate issues were likely related AND the root cause was never fixed. After today, I will only use this company for any air conditioning or heating services. This company does business the way business should be done.
THANK YOU Texas Air Conditioning Specialist for taking care of the customer instead of just screwing them over like the other companies seem to do.
