Very disappointed.. I feel taken advantage of because I am a single woman....He told me I was going to pay him a lot of money as soon as he walked in the door before he had even looked at the work?...Seriously overcharged for the work performed...Replaced leaking kitchen faucet hoses and removed tub stopper that was glued in ...I was billed hundreds of dollars for something that should have been simple to a experienced plumber with a truck full of tools??..I advised him that this was a one person job before my appointment so I would not have to pay for two people on such a simple job...Is that why I was charged hundreds of dollars for something so simple?...My mother was in town and she witnessed the whole visit and she cannot believe in her 64 years that I was ripped off like this...I will never hire a handyman ever again!!

OMG! I wish I could leave a lower rating. So bad... I called Tex to schedule some minor repairs on a loft we are selling, and liked the positive reviews left here on Yelp. This was without a doubt, the absolute WORST handyman experience I have ever had. I should have known from the start when he kept juggling the start date, and couldn't keep up with who he was talking to. After canceling two confirmed appointments, he showed up not knowing how to do much of anything that I requested. These were not major repairs (ie: sealing a toilet, caulking some patio doors, light fixtures type stuff.) I don't know where to begin. I had to end up telling him how to fix the door after he was completely at a loss as to why a door might have a leak. He actually made a dishwasher door worse after his tampering, and was instructed to just put it back to it's original broken condition. (We have since contacted a real professional.) The toilet seal around the floor? The work was so sloppy that I would have been embarrassed to say I had done it. In the end, we just told him to leave. The one useful outcome was that he did actually fix two broken light fixtures. Does that justify an outrageous bill? Not even close. In fact, I just broke down and finished the repairs myself, to MUCH better results than this so called """"licensed professional"""". Do yourself a favor and save yourself a lot of money, certain headaches, and unprofessional conduct. Do not use this vendor.

Tex completed a project several years back on a recirculating pump attached to our Hot Water Heater and everything worked well...satisfied with the results and his work. When the recirculating pump stopped working, I called him to replace it and he did with a newer model....that I Paid for! However, he did not ensure the recirculating system was functioning before he charged for the work, packed his tools and left. When I noticed the hot water was not delivering any faster, I checked the timer and discovered he never even plugged in the new pump. I plugged it in and still no results. When I called Tex to tell him it was not plugged in, he used the excuse of """"I plugged it into the extension cord, but yeah I should have checked to see if it was plugged into the wall."""" Tex then stated I only called him to replace the recirculating pump, not diagnose why the hot water system was not working. For him to come back out, he would have to again charge a service fee and hourly rate while he tried to fix the issue. I told him that was unacceptable and we went back and forth...until he stopped answer my messages. Used him Once and was Satisfied...But when called back to complete same job as prior, he stuck it to us on charge and failed to even plug in the pump. Difficult to say you are a master electrician when you do not even test to see if a line has power running to it. Do Not Use Tex Adams for ANY project.

Tex came to my newly bought house and I had a lot of electrical and plumbing that needed to be done. Not only was he able to fix both, but knowing when my move in date was, he worked extra hours and over the weekend to make sure that I was able to have everything working before I moved in to the house. He is such a nice person to work with and he is able to fix so much (even a few items that were not related to electrical or plumbing but that were such a great help at the house!) Also, he has a guarantee on his parts and work but knowing the quality of his work, I don't anticipate having any problems. My fiancé is already planning to use him to fix an electrical short at his house and my neighbor has an appointment with him to fix a few items around his house. I highly recommend him!

Tex was recommended to us by the previous owner of our home - seller had done a remodel and used Tex. Seller said Tex does great work for a fair rate. We agree! We had Tex come out today for a whole list of electrical items I wanted looked at. He gave very honest advice on several projects that we'll be putting off for a later date, and completed the projects we did decide to tackle in a very professional, straightforward and capable way. Honestly, this is our first home and I don't know much about electricians, but this guy seems to be the real deal for a fair price ($75 per hour plus parts). I'll definitely be working with him again in the future!
