Awful customer service. The guy who sold me replacement seals for my pop up stopper failed to mention a 20% restocking fee, and encouraged me to buy backup parts as they were low on this product.
The product did not work.
When I went to return the items, I was informed of the restocking fee and told the checker that I was not informed of this at purchase. She pointed to a tiny sign hanging in the midst of all the clutter, as if I should have seen it and read it.
I told her that they should have the employees inform customers of this fee and she just ignored me.
I will not be back. I feel totally disrespected.

This place is a must for anyone in the East Dallas area as they carry the hard to find plumbing parts you need for your home. If you have to get a real plumber, most likely this is where they are getting the part.
They offer advice, support and can help you way more than any of the big box hardware stores can do. PLUS the parts cost is very minimal.
On one of my recent trips, they suggested I take a look at the rest of the faucets since I was going to have the water off. It was cheap and easy since I was buying in bulk without packaging, So glad I listened as I had 4 valves that would have been leaking soon and it didn't take more than a few extra minutes to fix all at once.

These guys are great. Ask for Maris. I went to Home Depot, Lowes, Apex Plumbing supply and even called Moen directly and no one was able to help. A 2 minute conversation and $7 later I had what I needed to repair the faucet. Definitely give these guys a try!

Confession: I am a women who knows ZERO about plumbing. When my husband replaced our kitchen sink faucet this past weekend he realized we needed some special parts, and special attention that you don't find at big-box shops. I volunteered to visit Teter's during my lunch break on a Monday with a detailed text (photos included) explaining what I needed to get -- along with the old piece of tubing.
I went to the store on Monday, heard "next", and met with a female employee who seemed eager to move quickly through my situation. I showed her the tubing and the text from my man, but she wasn't focused. I trusted her, made my purchase and left. Later my husband explained it was the wrong part. So I made plans to go back to the next day during my lunch break - no big deal.
Walked in on Tuesday around noon and once again I was met with the same sales associate. I explained to her that I wasn't sold what I needed - that the part was wrong. I am so laid back. Mistakes happen. I am so forgiving. I wish someone else could write what I experienced next. The sales associate was confrontational and belittling. I was accused of never showing her the text my husband sent - even though she later admitted to seeing an image on my phone that my husband had texted.
I called my husband so he could explain exactly what we needed. While they were speaking she became irritated, hung up on him, and tossed my phone on the counter as she left to get another associate to help. My husband is the chillest man on the planet but even he was rattled by her behavior.
Here's what's uncool: Another associate (manager?) was brought in to council the issue and spoke to my husband (I had to call him back, since she hung up on him) on the phone in calm and professional manner -- prior to that it was becoming tense enough for other associates and customers to notice. Not really sure why the manager didn't just take control of everything from that point on and see the sale to the end, but I had to keep dealing with the original associate, who was not fond of me, and was extremely unprofessional. I still don't get why.
I guess the joke was on me because when I left I grabbed a soda from their amazing vintage bottle machine and it slipped from my hands and smashed on the floor. I offered to clean it up and was told it was fine so I grabbed another one and left. The woman chased me out of the store and told me I owed them 50 cents. I handed her a $5 bill and told her I hope she has a better day.
I prefer to frequent mom-and-pop shops, but I wont be back, despite the number of years of visiting this location with people who know everything about plumbing.
My low-star rating is based exclusively on the customer service I received there this week. I am sure others will find everything they need for their plumbing issues.

I'm not a professional plumber, just a piker with some tools - occasional DIY. I've gone to Teter's twice, both times to find a part otherwise unavailable locally. In both cases the guys behind the counter were professional and knowledgeable - and they've had my part both times. Most recently, a plumber I did hire cracked the brass nut on a pop-up drain assembly - and told me I would need to buy a whole new drain assembly as no store would have the nut with this particular thread pitch. True enough with Lowe's and Home Depot, but Teter's came through again. Plumbing can be infuriating when you need a part - and our old house has about one of every brand fixture & faucet out there - including brands long since gone. These guys are on my short list when we really need something.

Teeter's relieved me of a lot of stress by having the parts necessary to upgrade bath and shower knobs on an ageing house. The new two piece handles did't screw together easily due to the chrome plating. They guy that helped me did what needed to be done to get the pieces together. He removed the plating off the threads and made sure all the parts were properly fitting before he took my money.

I was expecting more of a personalized customer experience here than I'd get at a box store, Instead, I got snarky remarks when I asked for help. I went to get a shower head and brought the old one to the store to make sure I got what I needed. When I went to the counter to ask for help, the guy responded by saying "take you pick" as he nodded towards a display. I asked if he could show me a comparable replacement, so he walked me over to the display. I selected a shower head and went home to install it. It didn't work. I went back to the store with the shower head I had just purchased and explained to another person what I need. His response was "what do you want me to do about it?". What!?!? I guess he was kidding, but having to come back a second time because I didn't get what I need the first time, I didn't find the humor in his comment. It turns out that I needed an additional part that the first person didn't mention. I saw the first person again and showed him the additional part that I needed to install the shower head. He just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I got the feeling that this place caters to experienced plumbers and providing customer service isn't something they normally have to do.

Gave me the wrong parts, assured me they would work. Well, they didn't. When I called to let them know, they were very rude and condescending. Would not go back

Teters is the go to place for faucet repair. Everyone at the sales counter is professional and has tremendous knowledge on many brands. I love that you can send a pic in via txt from your phone and they will get back to you fast on if they have it or can get you something that will work for you. They also have other plumbing related items other than just faucet repair, such as tools, misc fittings, and you can even get a cold glass bottle of soda water on your way out! Great place, plumbing professionals would be lost without them. Thanks Teters for all you do!

I went into Teter's with the faucet cartridge I was planning on replacing in my hand to make sure I got the correct cartridge. They sold me a moen 1225 cartridge. When I went home to install the cartridge, it went limp repeatedly. I wiped down the grease and it continued to go limp. I reinstalled the older cartridge I replaced and realized that the older cartridge had more resistance. I looked and saw that there were more resistance bands on the cartridge, indicating it was a different cartridge. I went back to return the cartridge that they had sold me and the guy asked me what he was suppose to do with it. That he couldn't resell it. I told him it was the wrong cartridge. He argued with me. The tone off the bat was combative. He passed me on to another person there working the counter who was helping another customer simultaneously and that guy spoke to me incredulously too. At one point the first guy opened up a moen faucet book enticing me to pick out which single handled faucet model I had. I try and support local business and I have been in there and bought plumbing supplies before, but I don't feel like its proper customer service to be combative with a customer. The guy who sold me the cartridge didn't even look at the one I brought in in the first place. Oh no, he never makes mistakes the guy said. Well, y'all made one today. Oh and the cartridge is listed $10 cheaper everywhere else. No reason to support this local business again.
