Our rentors Called terrys on a sunday for a non emergency slow drain
the crew came out with a camera and looked down a pipe ( at super high sunday rate)
fixed the clog and charged us $1200.dollars!!!! we paid it and told the dispatcher to NOT come back.. they did come back and we now have another $1200.Dollar bill!!!
rip off? you decide
They returned my call within an hour, came out to look at the job (install gas line for dryer) and Lance performed the work that day. Great service, fair pricing and great guys to deal with.
We have used Terry's in the past with good outcome,so when we were doing a remodel,we called them. We were looking to purchase a extra tall toilet. The man that came out for an estimate on the remodel was Steve. He said he had a extra tall toilet that they could give us a deal on. We went down to pick up the toilet, got it home, and found that not only was the toilet preused,it was smaller and the wrong one. We took it back and they loaded up a 2nd one. We got it home and it was also the wrong one. We then drove back into town for the 3rd time and than were given a toilet that was the right size, but had no tank lid. They called us in a few days and we were given a lid. We didn't open it right away as our bathroom floor hadn't been completed yet. Today we opened it,and it was the wrong lid. So my husband calls and is connected to Steve who immediately starts being argumenative and disrespectful. He also tells my husband he is lying. We are asked for the lid back and then told we would be charged for the new lid. Luckily we noticed that the manufacturer phone number and item number was stamped into the tank and their representative was absolutely amazing and is sending us the tank lid for free . We are now using a different plumber as we will never use Terry's again. My husband is a 69 year old disabled veteran and deserves to be spoken to like a human. Had he not been on speaker phone,I wouldn't have believed the way the man representing this business spoke to him.
John R.My renter required a emergency septic tank pump. Terry's could not respond for a week. Meanwhile another company we contacted Ed's Septic of Astoria responded immediately. Terry's then shows up one week later . My renter told Terry's the tank had already been pumped. Terry's had been onsite for 5 minutes. They charged me for pumping 1,000 gallons. I wrote to their office and explained the situation and submitted proof of previous pumping 7 days earlier. Bottom line they simply didn't care the invoice stands pay up.
I hope any one who reads this heeds my warning and selects another company to do business with.
Only place in town I trust for plumbing.
Yep wants me to keep waiting, but I don't think anyone wants to hear the details of my plumbing issues.
Jane A.Thanks. For your help when we need it.
Being retired means that we need a little more understanding
The plumber's from Terry's damaged my property and left raw sewage in my basement and backyard. They cut an irrigation line through carelessness and never accepted the responsibility for any of the damage. Highly unprofessional.
Scott F.Hired this company to do some plumbing items for me. The journeyman they sent out was Lance Diamond. The guy is professional and really knows his stuff. Did a world class job for me and I would hire back in an instant. High quality, communicates really well, and does exceptional work!
Highly recommend!
Thanks Lance!
Thee P.Great service! They went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with everything they worked on. Great communication!
One thing can describe this company: inconsistent. Some visits they were good, others they were effing clueless, irresponsible and/or don't do what they say they will. From trying to charge me for something that the home's seller was paying for, to a no-show on a call and not bothering to pick up the phone (""oh he's out sick, you'll have to wait 2 more weeks to have someone come out and fix that"" was the response when I called asking why no one had showed up), to the most recent visit where Michael showed up late, cracked our (just-installed-30-minutes-earlier) drywall as he yanked out an old water line near the wall (we sent a photo to the office manager Darlene who ignored it), left the crawlspace door on the side of the house along with a ton of bark all over the sidewalk, not to mention buried two of our artichoke and bee balm plants that were near it, and then never looked at our outdoor faucet as we'd asked....and a week after messaging them twice to follow up, we still got nothing - until of course we brought it up when they sent us the bill....with the nerve to tell us that Michael said he didn't crack our drywall even though I both watched him do it AND photographed what he did. Oh and why do they have their bookkeeper answering the phone when her only response to any question is, ""I'm just the bookkeeper so I don't know""?
This lack of consistency, accountability and care for personal property is why we will never again work with Terry's Plumbing. As a neighbor told us today, ""don't bother with Terry's, you're better off just learning how to fix it yourself as they lack any professionalism"".
