I had a recent experience that has truly emptied my pocket book, That I have been led to believe is wiring damage caused by work done by Terry's Plumbing Air & Energy. The work was done on a neighbor's condo. My AC wiring runs through the condo that Terry's Plumbing Air and Energy were working in. My hired HVAC repair people are the ones that came to this conclusion based on these facts. Here's my story. I own a condo in Sarasota. My AC unit is pretty new. Early in May my AC compressor stopped working. I have a neighbor that checks my unit every few weeks. Late April is was working fine. The next time he checked in early May, it was ~90 deg F in my unit and my Air handler was running, but no cold was coming out. Additionally my Nest thermostat reported AC not working May 11th. It said it was running 4 hours and the inside temp was ~87. The AC is set at 81 F when I'm not there. May 1st-10th temps in Sarasota barely broke 80. The 11th was the first hot day in May. So then my neighbor checked my AC compressor and it was not running. I immediately called a HVAC company that came out and their determination was the 24V line that went from my Thermostat to my compressor had failed. He said that line very rarely fails on its own and asked if my neighbors had been doing any remodeling or work that could have damaged the line. The line looked great at both ends where it was exposed. No evidence of rodents or weed whacker damage. The line runs under a sidewalk and could not be easily replaced $$$. I decided to get a 2nd opinion and got the same exact conclusion. And one of the first things 2nd repair tech asked me again, was if I knew of any work was being done in the unit under me, because this wiring passes thru that unit. The 24V line runs down through the walls of the neighbor below me before running under the cement to the compressor unit outside. The quote to run a new line for my unit is $1200. You can't pull the line through its original path, so it needs to run around the building and thru some asphalt that needs to be cut. Then the asphalt has to be repaired. Once I found out it was going to cost that much, I talked to my HOA and got the contact info for my neighbor below and contacted them. I asked if any work was being done in their unit and they said yes. They had replaced the AC unit on May 1st by Terry's Plumbing Air & Energy. My AC did not work after that date. My HVAC guy, Cool Coast, has done many AC repairs in the complex and said my 24V line runs down through their walls and was 99.99999% sure the work done below had damaged the LV wire. This was definitely something that should be thoroughly investigated. I was being very hopeful Terry's Plumbing Air & Energy would instantly come to the same obvious conclusion that their install had very likely caused my problem and repair the line. Saving me a huge repair bill. It's just too big of a coincidence to ignore. These lines rarely fail on their own, and to think it failed on its own right after work done adjacent to the wiring so unlikely, I'd almost bet my life. Terry's sent out the same tech that did the install. I called him after my neighbor that gave him access said he barely looked at the situation and then saw a water leak. He dropped my issue and said he had bigger fish to fry from what I was told. The tech told me, he was tasked with just looking for the obvious. He said he saw a wire that looked ok. He never physically verified it was the same wire running to the AC or my Thermostat, the way it sounded to me. """"They looked like the right color of wires."""" Then he said these wires do just fail on their own. I asked if he had ever experienced one failing due to just age and he changed the subject. He said he wasn't really sure the line had failed and would need to check that himself. Saying if I wanted him to investigate deeper, he would have to charge me per his boss's instruction for a service call. Seriously! The way the conversation went, I totally lost any confidence in Terry's stepping up at this point. The tech had access to my unit, but didn't have a ladder, so he couldn't look at the wiring there. I had to call him and no one in charge from the company there contacted me. In my opinion, the Tech really seemed to be avoiding responsibility. I felt like the conversation went nowhere. So it looks like I'm going to be out $1200 due to what I believe is obviously a result of their work in my neighbors condo. I'm sure it was an accident. But these are the facts. There's no hard evidence, but the timing, sequence of events, their assumption it was just a huge coincidence and the opposite opinions of 2 other HVAC companies, has left me very frustrated. Was it an act of God?? Possibly, but very very very unlikely is what I've been told. Buyer beware. Or in my case, neighbor beware! Update - talked to owner Tuesday. He lied, said they never had access to my unit and the wire is not in the wall, but in plain site. Stay far away!

This company came out three times to fix our air conditioning. On one trip they told us there were too many filters in the system and when pushed said the compressor was gone and the system needed to be replaced. Another vendor came out this morning after a blistering weekend in the heat and replaced a capacitor and the air conditioning is running fine. Poor service, dishonest and they just don't know what they are doing. Run!

After a nightmare with another company, Terry's plumbing gave me a quote and did a great job. On time , friendly service, easy to schedule , and I got lucky with final invoice a little LESS than quoted price on a AC repair.

Quality group of guys that are super intelligent in the plumbing industry. Anything is possible with these guys. Professional service and a stand out in the industry.

I had a water leak into a closet and thought it might be an underground leak within the concrete. The young man from Terry's Plumbing listened closely to what I had to say then began to check various sources of the water. Within 15 min he found that the overflow line on my air conditioning system was not working thus the water was overflowing from the drip pan. I was very pleased of the professionalization that this young man showed. Terry's Plumbing will be my first call if I ever have a plumbing problem again.

Absolutely not. The """"plumbers"""" were nice but they didn't fix the problem and wanted us to pay over 200.00 in service fees. I said no. I'm paying for results - not """"trying"""". I owned a computer company years ago. If we didn't correct the problem we didn't get paid. I wanted a written estimate to cut out the pvc pipe and replace it. Never heard from them again. Ended up paying 25.00 plus pvc pipe to get it fixed. Crazy. We had used them before. I wonder how much we were ripped off then. We did tip the workers. Not their fault.

An efficient, service oriented company. I call with a minor request (replace a faucet) which was not urgent. The nice lady who answered their phone promised someone would be out between 12 and 3. At 12 o'clock the tech called to say he would arrive shortly. A very friendly and professional guy he quickly changed out our faucet. When we had problems with our system we called Terry's again and someone was sent right away. He fixed the problem quickly. Terry's rates are more than fair - they do not over charge and do not try to sell anything unneccessary. You cannot go wrong in using them if you have a plumbing need.

A hired Plumbing Scheduler answers your call and schedules a client for the next day 1:00pm-3:00pm. The next day Clienr is waiting, no call or no show up from a hired plumber serviceman. I cannot understand how this Terry's Plumbing runs their business. I will never make an appointment again, my business will go to a more dependable business. Be aware of this company setting you an appointment!!

Plumber was scheduled between 8-12 didn't arrive until after 2pm. I can only estimate a time that Terry showed up because I was not aware that he was on my property until I attempted to take a shower and Han no running water. You would think that Terry would have Rand my door bell to first informe me that he had arrived and second that he was going to turn all access to water off. Is it me or is that to much to expect from Terry. I assume that was the plumbers name since even after I approached him on my property he never introduced himself so I will just refer to him as Terry. During my attempt to inquire about the issue Terry seem reluctant to answer let alone explain the situation. I came out with a bottle of cold water to present him during my attempt to get an update on the situation but decided that he didn't deserve even that after my interaction with Terry. He looked very unprofessional and disheveled, somewhat reminiscent of a biker guy in a prison scene, no uniform,no ID, Ny introduction, no service etiquette and no mannerisms of a professional. I guess when you own your company you can do what you want but last time I had some plumbing done it was one Mexican gentleman who barely spoke English but was much more professional that """"Terry"""". Terry didn't even let me know that the job was complete, didn't say by or thank you for your choosing my company he just left without say anything. I would be if terry or any of his family was in my care of my profession he wouldn't like it if I did that to him or his family. The only reason I gave """"Terry one star is the fact that the leak was fixed, but personally there will never get another dime or recommendation from me in fact I will always suggest otherwise.

I was referred to Terry's Plumbing. I called 2 other companies and no response. My friend called Terry's and they came right out. They fixed the issue and cleaned up. I will definitely use them again. Thank you.
