After the recent heavy rainfall the basement flooded. Terry Plumbing was the first company to call back. They came out and rodded the line which partially opened up the pipes allowing drainage. Before the job was completed the rod became stuck in the drainage pipe.

The employee of Terry Plumbing had attempted multiple times to free the rod by tying together ratchet straps and pulling it out with his truck, but the straps kept breaking. When I met this employee he was wearing foam shoes, and a ""midget lives matter"" t-shirt.

I inquired what was going on and his plan the employee stated that was his plan, that the ratchet straps kept breaking and he needed larger ratchet straps to pull the rod free. I asked what the rod was stuck on and where it was stuck? He said the pipe was broken and it was stuck between the pipe and the ground. I asked how he knew that? This employee became frustrated stating ""its because I have been in this a long time and thats what it always is"". With his lack of ability to articulate what the issue was I was uncomfortable with his plan of pulling out the rod with his truck. I asked if he had anyone else he could call to help him, or at least confirm that it's a broken pipe? He refused to call anyone for assistance and said ""well I have a camera but it's $10,000 dollars and I am not putting it down there to just get stuck"". After pushing of how he knew what he was pulling on or against without conformation multiple times with great reluctance he did put the camera, stopping at a point he was comfortable with but not where the issue was. He said ""well you're just going to have to dig it up to get it out, or I could pull it out"". I informed him that I do not want him attempting his plan of ratchet straps and his truck. He left, leaving the water access man hole cover off, and the rod sticking out of the pipe.

We ended up higher'ing a second plumbing company who came out, put a camera down the water drainage pipe to the blockage, marked off gas lines, water lines, and electrical lines on the surface. Confirmed that the rod was wrapped around a tree root, then dug down and fixed the issue created.

When we called to talk to the owner about their employees actions, and bottom line lack of safety involved. the secretary was aggressive stating it was a family company, the owner would not talk to us.

Terry Plumbing services were a liability, and a safety hazard. I would strongly encourage use of a different service.

I can't say enough about Terry plumbing. Professional, responsive and very helpful. They helped me save money on leaks we had on our facets. We were spending alot of money on water and excessive use on double flushed toilets. They made me aware of money saving tips and do's and don't. Joe and Alex were professional, kind and very knowledgeable. For this I give them 5 stars! Highly recommend them!

It's Saturday 5 pm and my bathtub faucet that was the source of a leak that was repaired by them is currently not able to halt the flow of cold water

Twice I have called over the last two months because I noticed after they replaced the cartridges that the faucets felt wrong, The hot felt rubbery, the cold turned the wrong direction.

So now I have an emergency and this problem was created by them.

So telling this to the receptionist I was gaslit in how a cold water handle should turn and asked if I wanted to pay to have them make it go the wrong direction.

Then two weeks I called again noticing the work done was degrading from just normal use, both handles were getting worse.

I aaidI could buy new faucets so they could be set up properly.

Then a supervisor came. Looked at it I asked again if he needed me to get something he reported he would be back with new cartridges and handles and be back.

That was three weeks ago. I did text him at the number he called from and no response.

So this isn't a normal thing with them but I'm currently beside myself with rage because this situation wouldn't exist if they hadn't crested it

I needed my house in Brookfield, IL winterized quickly and they were able to do it the next day. They were efficient and showed up when they said they would. The girls in the office were extremely helpful. Will definitely use them again if the need ever arises.

Sloppy work, but got the job done. Left a mess afterwards. Meh job, would look for someone else.

These guys are great. Reliable and reasonably priced... They do need to make $$$ ya know. They were the only plumber willing to jump through hoops to get an outside gas line installed for me. Really enjoyed working with them and would recommend!

We had a slow running kitchen drain that was also backing up into our condo. The service team from Terry Plumbing was very professional and courteous from my initial phone call to completing the job. The plumber who worked on our problem took great care to make sure the problem was taken care of and that the area was clean before he left.
