These people are the best, from start to finish. Their estimate for a sewer lateral replacement came with the house that I purchased in Kensington. I called Sheila to have the work done--she's lovely, efficient, and honest. She was able to schedule the job at a convenient time. The work was first-rate. I want to recommend, without reservation, the lateral sewer replacement services of Terra Nova Engineering. I called and spoke with Sheila Conn, who is absolutely wonderful to work with, after my sewer line continued to clog multiple times within a couple of months. Not fun! She provided me with excellent information on the process of trenchless replacement, and estimate and set up the replacement within a week. Sheila also set up the process with inspections, permits and the crew appeared, as scheduled and on time. The work was completed the same day for a very reasonable and affordable price.

I only wish that every service company out there could provide the same level of high quality service and excellent customer service that TNE provides. Thank you, Sheila and TNE!!

In El Cerrito I had endless trouble with the sewer clogging up. The reasons were not clear however eventually figured out it was cracked and broken sewer pipe under the street. I talked to Stege Sanitary about the process and took 3 or 4 bids from their list of sewer pipe replacement contractors.
The bids ranged from 5300 to 8900 dollars, quite a range for the same job. I am sure the companies are all good I guess however Sheila at Terra Nova impressed me with her on-the-job knowledge and how easily she worked with me on this big-to-me job.
They were the 2nd lowest bid and had good Yelp reviews. I asked her for recent job references. Shila provided me with two recent customers to call, I did , and they were very satisfied with the sewer pipe replacement process and Terra Nova.
I went with Terra Nova and I was completely satisfied from start to finish. Great crew, good price, highly skilled crew, and the engineering contractor owner on the job. I just could not be more pleased. I was there all day watching and I will recommend them to anyone. A very good job well done. I have offered to provided references for Sheila if anyone has questions. A big under-street job done well.

I really cannot say enough about this company. We received bids from three different companies for a trenchless sewer lateral replacement, and Terra Nova was the 3rd at a competitive price. Mirko came over for a quick visit on a Friday to survey our property and was professional and kind, and by Monday we had an estimate from Sheila. We had to postpone twice because of the weather (can't repave in the rain!) and Sheila was quick to communicate with us which we appreciated; we were never left hanging. She was also super helpful with our many questions leading up to the job.

The big day was yesterday, and we could not be more happy! The crew arrived at 8 AM sharp, passed inspection, and closed up shop by 3 PM. We also had a seismic gas shutoff valve installed on the same call-out, and the person who did that communicated very well and showed me how to reset it. They left our front yard and the street spotless, even hosing down dirt on the driveway. Honestly, I think it looks better now than it did before they got there. I have the utmost respect for them for taking what seemed like a scary project for a couple of new homeowners and making it a seamless process. It's also a fascinating process to watch if you get the chance. Thank you so much!

I highly recommend Terra Nova Engineering. They just fixed some bad work done earlier this year by another company, in addition to extending my sewer line to the street. Sheila is amazing, knows everyone at the Water District, EBMUD and the county, and quickly coordinated all parties. They did a great job and left my yard and the street all cleaned up. They are easy to communicate with and were very professional.

I've used these guys on 2 different properties in the last year... They are competent, thorough and near as I can tell, less expensive than their competition..

On the last job, they arrived at 7:30 am, worked all day replacing more than 100 feet of corroded pipe, and made the necessary connection to the city's main line under the street, and passed the city's inspection.

I can't recommend them enough...

I'd recommend Terra Nova Engineering to others for sewer lateral work. Sheila and her team were courteous, prompt, and professional from the time of the estimate till completion. What was projected to be one day actually ended up taking 2+ days due to the thick layer of concrete and digging that the crew had to performed. At the end of the day, the work was done well but ended up costing more than the initial quote due to the additional labor and materials, which Sheila took the time to explain and show me. I do not blame Terra Nova since they can only provide a quote based on what they can see and anticipate to the best of their knowledge. What I really appreciated about Terra Nova is that Sheila absorbed some of the additional costs, which she was under no obligation to do. She knew that I have a pregnant wife and a house full of newly discovered issues (the joy of home ownership!), which has caused significant stress for us. I appreciate the customer service and human kindness which can sometimes be removed from dealing with contractors/vendors. Thanks Sheila and team - keep up the great work and customer service!
