Wish I had seen the other reviews before I used Ted's Plumbing. Very consistent behavior when issues arise - as they do. Our situation: Early 2020, one of Ted's junior employees left the water turned on following an inspection on the shower causing a small flood. There was a precarious water flow into the toilet drain in our empty condo next to the shower. After the inspection the hose to the drain was shifted away from the drain and the water was not turned back off after the inspection. My husband and I found the condo flooded, called Ted who couldn't make it over, my husband and I vacuumed the water up with our water vac, cranked AC, brought in fans and did everything we could do to minimize damage and cost. We tried to work it out with Ted, offering to minimally charge him and just deduct $ off of the rest of the work. We dried and reused as much if the new flooring in the master bedroom that we could etc. He is a small business and our thought and nature was to be kind, not planning to ask to be made completely whole. However, Ted would not accept any responsibility. He would not even maturely discuss. He just became verbally aggressive to me with a raised voice and made up nonsensical reasons why it wasn't his fault at all. He even stated lies that we were cheap and doing work without a permit before him . We had a licensed GC and all permits. When I brought up that it was his responsibility, he threatened to pull his sub-permit, not do any more work and leave us hanging. Although it added delay and additional stress - we did not continue any work with him. If not for Covid we would have taken him to small claims court by now and may still. Ted is knowledgeable, responsive to calls (texts) and shows up when he says he will. Even so, he is not someone I would recommend or ever subject myself to again. Be very careful using Ted's plumbing, things go wrong with any project - you don't want someone that doesn't take responsibility.

I would give no stars if it were an option. Shoddy substandard work and non-existent customer service. I am writing this review as I have a reputable and well-known company in my home replacing and repairing all of the crappy work done by Ted's Plumbing when they installed a new water heater in my home in June of last year. $1000.00 dollars later, it turns out that they never used copper fittings and used shark bites instead which caused the pipe to leak and damage my floors in the process. Ted's response when I got him on the phone this afternoon was to rudely tell me that nothing would be covered under warranty and that he could come out and take a look at it but he wanted to make it clear that there would be a charge as he only guarantees his labor for 90 days. I proceeded to ask him if it was possible that perhaps his installer did not do the installation properly and his response was to say """"have a good day"""" and hang up the phone on me! Rude, unprofessional and arrogant to say the least. Save yourself the headache and go with a reputable company that will do the job right the first time.

Bad business We agreed on price before work was to be done. Once he cut all my lines to water heater say 100 more or I'll leave you like this. Bad business trying put someone in bad spot to get more money.
