Kalyl T.It is with a heavy heart I have to say that I am beyond disappointed about Mr. Jason from TCP Plumbing and Drains. I had some issues with my water heater (which has worked perfectly for over 10 years) and FAHW trying to deflect responsibility. After Price Right Plumbing Drain Cleaning assessment, FAHW interpreted in their favor blaming the flex hoses connecting the water lines to the water heater, as the reason for my water heater failure. I disputed the denied resolution and I had One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning Technician do a second technical evaluation for the failure reasons. Mr. Rooter Plumbing, and A1 Sewer and Drain have also performed a technical evaluation on my water heater, and all concluded that the system failed due to age and normal wear and tear. Mr. Jason himself told me that the failure is due to age and normal wear and tear. Mr. Jason also added that the standard has changed and that the new install will require some modifications that will not be covered by the warranty company but the water heater certainly is. He promised to email me his report but never did. I found out later from FAHW that Mr. Jason reported that ""improper installation, plumbing, gas connection were the causes of water heater failure"". Unfortunately, my driveway camera was too far to record my conversation with Mr. Jason clearly. In his line of work, honesty is paramount.
To say we are beyond disappointed is an understatement. You trust your home owners warranty company and the contractors they send out to you to fix your home problems and it turns out that they just lie about situation. Jason from TCP Plumbing company came out and tried to fix our leak that we had downstairs from our upstairs shower and he did a quick fix only to have it leak again 3 weeks later. He came a second time, looked at it again and in less than 5 mins said that he didn't know where the leak was coming from and he would have to contact the home warranty company and ask permission to get into the ceiling. He left only to have the home warranty office email us 2 wks later to tell us our claim was no longer going to be covered because the plumber said it was an improper install and he couldn't do anything about it. Little did he know that we had his whole conversation on camera and were able to capture exactly what he said and turn it into the home warranty office to reopen our claim and send a second company. He blatantly lied about the whole situation and to say he is unprofessional is putting it mildly. Unprofessional and just plain lacking in the skill need in his ""profession."" We do not recommend Jason or this company at any cost!
Ridiculous company! Kid came out and said they don't do any work on copper plumbing, then lied to the warranty company saying he never said that. What kind of amateur plumbing company is this!? All the other plumbing companies we called laughed and said the same thing about this company. Maybe if you're too scared of plumbing you should go flip burgers!
The WORST customer service I have experienced in years( and I deal with a lot of contractors as a property manager). I had used Hampton Roads plumbing for years, with good results, but picked up this company after they said Hampton Roads Plumbing has changed their name to TCP plumbing and Drains.
I had them out twice. First for a clogged tub, which they said they couldn't snake due to the configuration of the drain. $600 later, we got the tub to drain. A few months later, another clog, same house. Took 5 days for the appontment ( I did wait because I had an established relationship with Hampton Roads). After arriving, the technician could not reach me on the phone, so he left. Told the tenants that I should have called the warrantee company ( there is no home warrantee). I spent the rest of that day, and the next Monday ( they don't take weekend calls) trying to reach them. Got the scheduler( by chance) who said she would reach out to the technician. She called me back 4 hours later to say the tech never called her back. I must have called 10 times during the 2 days, they do not answer their phone, and their voice mail is always full.
The tech finally called on Tuesday- told me he assumed I had a warrantee and I should call the warentee company. He would not do the work anyway because I did not answer the phone when he was at the house, despite the fact I told the scheduler to go ahead with whatever needed to be done. At the end of the convo, he laugh, said they no longer service my town and hung up on me.
I know this is long, but I don't want anyone to get stuck like I did. I called Roto Rooter in the end and they came out in 2 hours.
Got an estimate from TCP plumbing to re-pipe my home. Selected them and scheduled for March 11 at 8am to have the work completed. They called at 7:55 to tell me that my technician had a family emergency and had to go out of town. They rescheduled for Tuesday, MARCH 16 (TODAY) AT 8AM. I am still waiting for someone to show up (9:22am). I called the office and left message for them to call me, but no call back and now when I try to call their office I get a message that they are not accepting calls. Horrible company!!! No call, no show and my house is torn up with furniture moved, bathrooms cleaned out, plastic covered furniture, etc. to prepare for them. I would give them a minus 1 if I could. Would certainly NOT advise using them!
In the beginning this company was helpful as a third party vendor working on my water heater through my home owners insurance. Months after installation, found out that they performed an incorrect install which has now caused secondary damage to my property. Other plumbing companies won't even touch their work and now I have to pay for re-installation. Save your time and money, go with a trusted company that ensures their installation. Shame this company didn't have any pride in their work.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I was initially pleased with them after replacing our leaking hot water heater. However, we experienced an extreme amount of air in the lines and could hardly even shower. They came by and resolved that issue but we have had nothing but problems with the unit since. They came over again and promised to replace the unit.
Over the last few weeks I have left messages and request for them to contact me and they will not respond. We have another company coming over now. Shame on you!!
Bence M.I had an emergency leak in my kitchen that needed to be fixed and TCP was able to fit me in and send someone out right away. Jason showed up right on time, assessed the leak issue and explained exactly the cause of the leak and how he would fix it. He did a great job and cleaned up everything as well. They quoted me a great price and I didn't feel like I was being hoodwinked. Will definitely call Jason and the folks over at TCP Plumbing and Drains again! Definitely recommend these fine, professional and polite folks.
Kelli T.This company was absolutely awesome to work with! We had a clogged kitchen sink (with garbage disposal). Jason, had no problem explaining everything to us and it didn't feel like we were being price gouged. From scheduling the appointment to actually getting the work done, they were professional and polite. We will definitely be using this company again and plan to send folk their way when they run into plumbing issues.
