Taylor's Plumbing Solutions was created through the efforts of Chris Taylor. Our objective has always been to provide quality service to our local community at reasonable rates. We are proud of our family-owned status and also our veteran ownership.
I served my country for four years. I was part of a Coast Guard boat, that focused on enforcement duties, fisheries management, navigational aids, ice operations, and rescue missions. After my honorable discharge, I used the post-9/11 GI Bill to earn a degree in business management. Subsequently enrolled in the apprenticeship program at the PHCC of San Diego after six months as a warehouse and parts runner. I finished four years at PHCC as a plumbing apprentice and worked my way up to earn a Journeyman Plumber. I bring experience across both commercial plumbing and residential services as well as new construction as well as maintenance and repair. I truly enjoy my work. Each day presents new challenges and I am always learning new skills. I teach at San Diego's PHCC, teaching the year three classes. Transmitting my expertise to the next generation is a priority for me for the industry. I am eager to meeting your plumbing needs at your home for any plumbing needs.

Recommended Customer Reviews

Chris Taylor and his assistant Greg were fantastic. Super friendly, courteous, and clean.
Reached out to Chris as he was recommended locally by everyone and also supports our little league, responded quickly when I asked for a quote to replace our existing kitchen faucet with a new one. Chris gave us options and suggestions with a reasonable quote and scheduled the work to be done a few days later (I was out of town for work so had to delay).
Chris and Greg arrived on time and completed the job quickly and neatly! No upsell, No BS.... just great work, great conversation, and awesome people.
Definitely recommend Chris for your plumbing needs. It's nice to know have a great plumber that we can trust! Will definitely be using Taylor's Plumbing for future plumbing needs. Happy to have found them.

Bottom line:
Taylor's Plumbing did a fantastic job for us on a water heater replacement from a traditional tank to a tankless system. It is clear that Chris and Greg take immense pride in their work, and are committed to finding the right solution for their clients. Their installation was neat, the unit works even better than expected, and I won't hesitate to ask them back for our next plumbing project. I appreciated both their professionalism and their friendly demeanor.
Full story of accolades well deserved:
After calling in with the complaint of rusty hot water, Chris and Greg came over to look at the current setup and deduced that the water heater was at the end of its lifespan. They explained that the cores of tank heaters will rust over time, especially in the presence of a water softener and without regular flushing. They further said that, while they could show me the rusty water by tapping the drain on the heater, it was better not to touch it, as it often is hard to get the drain closed again without leaks. So, we didn't touch it! (This is important to the story.)
We talked about the pros and cons of replacing with another tank model or moving to a tankless system, and I said I would let them know soon what we decided.
Early the next morning, I walked into the garage to find the water heater was leaking all over the garage! Can you believe the timing?! Again, we didn't touch the tank the previous day! I left a message for Chris, which he returned promptly. Chris and Greg went way above and beyond, coming over before another scheduled job to drain and demo the leaking water heater so we could let the area dry before installing the tankless system the next day. They really came through for us, and I'm so grateful for their excellent service.

A month ago, I flushed moth-infested chia seeds down the drain (mistake), and my sink was stopped up. Bad. Chris came out and fixed it. Now, my air gap was spewing water; Chris came and fixed it. He arrived when he said he would, and explained the problem. (I like to learn what I have screwed up). He doesn't add weird charges. And he was fun to talk to. I will definitely call him again. (And I will definitely not flush chia seeds down the drain again.)

Chris and his assistant were able to come out for an estimate fairly quickly, and he gave me a firm price and a start date a few days after that. As promised, it was Chris and his assistant again who came out for the actual job, not an anonymous crew--they do one job at a time, and stay with it until it's done. They worked hard to replace our street-to-house water line, and replaced our pressure valve in the garage, and replaced a rusted garden spigot, AND dug up our unused plastic irrigation piping, and within one morning had the new stuff in and the groundscaping restored so well you had to look hard to notice any difference. All for half the price of one of those big outfits with custom vans that are open 24/7 and can start immediately. It was well worth waiting a few days. I will definitely use Taylor's Plumbing again.

When we found a San Diego home for Grandma that was immaculately kept but original to the early 70's...getting a good plumber in to look things over and give us an estimate was a must! Chris came out and provided a thorough estimate as well as options for what was necessary to get up to code vs. cosmetic updates. We were able to determine where money would be best spent, and move forward quickly. Chris and his team came out and did the work very efficiently and without any surprises. He also provided a warranty on the work and materials. I couldn't be more pleased with his professionalism and the quality of work provided by Taylor's Plumbing.

There was a leak at the base of our toilet. I found Taylor's plumbing via our FB Mira Mesa group. I requested a quote through Yelp and, out of all the recommended businesses (on a holiday weekend), Taylor's Plumbing was first to respond. Scheduling an appointment was easy, same day service. They were prompt on arrival, diagnosed the issue and replaced the wax ring to the toilet in less than an hour. Very courteous, knowledgeable and reliable. I will be counting on them in the future.

Chris is so amazing!! We were about to leave for a flight and the angle stop broke and water was leaking. Called Taylor's Plumbing for an emergency service and they were so prompt and responsive! They installed a new angle stop and did a great job!!! He truly was a life saver and they are very professional. I would highly recommend them and for you to do preventive work now instead of reactive work like I did :)

I NEVER write reviews but these guys were so good I felt like I had too :) They arrived on time and were creative in their attack with our problem. Overall- such a great experience! Plumbers for life!!

Chris is awesome! If you're looking for a honest, knowledgeable and reasonably priced plumber in the San Diego area he's your guy. I had a huge leak in shower spout that was leaking down to the 1st floor. I called one of the bigger plumbers and they were charging me considerably more to do the same job. To add to that they weren't even as knowledgeable about what the issue was. Chris came in, found the issue, clearly explained what was wrong and fixed it. I would highly recommend Chris to all my family and friends.

Their man, Greg came to look at our dishwasher. It was leaking during the wash cycle. We found them on social media and they were recommended by many of our neighbors in the community. He was knowledgeable and worked quickly to find and resolve the problem. I made an appointment with them last Friday through Yelp! And got an appointment with them for noon today. It was no wonder about scheduling with them since he got so many calls during our visit. We plan to get their help when we get a new kitchen faucet.
