Our Navien tankless water heater had a small leak. Navien's website listed Tankless Works and Plumbing as a Certified Specialist and reviews were great so I called Dimo. With the holidays here, I expected delays, but Dimo responded promptly and stopped by to take a look to diagnose the problem. Parts were obtained and he called me sooner than expected to complete the repair.
Dimo was very responsive and customer focused. Pricing was less than expected.

I have a tankless heater installed 7 years ago on a top of the line model, works great, and worry-free. Last year I upgrade my HVAC because my wife and I have a baby who will be POTUS one day :) and the water heater stops turning on from time to time. I had a couple of companies came out and check. One recommended a new tankless heater. Another recommended that I retrofit the supply natural gas line (tankless on demand hot water require lots of gas and therefore larger pipe). Both options required $2,000+ !!
I've been putting it off but I decided my family need hot water (hehehehe) so I decided to get one last estimate to see how much it would cost me to replace the tankless heater and go from there. Dimo came out and look at the heater. Spent sometime trouble-shooting and checking the installation. Search the internet on his phone about the heater. finally took the time out and explain my options. It seems that the exhaust was causing the issue. Told me to purchase an exhaust kit and he will come back to install it. I asked him how much I owe him for his time and he didn't charge me for trouble-shooting it. After the kit arrived, he came back and installed the exhaust/intake kit. Did a little retrofitting on the mounting bracket, removing the old exhaust, etc Now it is working like it's brand new!!!
First, Dimo is a genuine caring person. He could just gave me a price quote on a new system which I specifically asked him and be done with it! Maybe made some money out of it as well (some many heaters out there) and not just labor charges!
Second, I felt very comfortable with him and his options. He is very knowledgeable. He gave me options and point out the issues of the heater. Gave me his professional opinions and lets me pick.
Third, and I think it is the most important is Trust. I am not a plumber so I need help understanding the issue with my water heater, Dimo took the timeout to explain to me and gave me options. In the end, I completely trusted him and his professional opinion. That is priceless! The other vendors wasn't wrong about the gas and the system. It was related to the gas but Dimo took the time out to see if he can save me money. He explains that the system do need 2 times the amount of gas but this wasn't the case with my situation and what was happening with turning on/off of the system. I confirmed this after reading on tankless system.
Sorry for the long story but I had to give a shout out to Dimo!! In the service industry, it is rare that you can find someone that you can totally trust. I am telling you, Dimo is the man!! I highly recommend him to anyone! No Doubt about it! I will definitely call him if I ever need any plumbing issue!!

Dimo from Tankless Works and Plumbing visited our home in Carlsbad to service two tankless water heaters. I did not know that one of them was not working, and Dimo did a great job to ensure everything was fixed. This included being on-hold with the water heater manufacturer for 30 minutes.

He was very professional in his approach and though the visit required more effort than anticipated, completed everything at the original price.

I would have no hesitation in using Dimo again if the need arises.

Dimo is the absolute best!! After getting estimates from 3-4 companies, we finally found Dimo. He is honest, knowledgeable, and respectful. His estimate was the best we received and even when extra work came up due to complications, he stayed within his estimate. We had him do work on a very old house and Dimo did not cut any corners with the installation. He advised us on everything and explained everything thoroughly. He was very quick to respond to all our questions, texts and phone calls. We are so thankful to have found Dimo.

Dimo is the most honest, hardworking, reliable and capable plumber I have ever run across. His sole objective is to accomplish the completion of excellent quality work (and do so at a reasonable price). What else could you possibly hope to receive from any professional.

He recently installed a water purification system in our home, and the installation proved to be quite complicated in terms of routing the auto flush out system. Dimo and his assistant must have spent 2-3 hours just figuring out the best option for the installation ... and, ultimately, the approach he selected was successful.

Notably, the installation was to be completed for a set fee which was established by the company selling the installation system; meaning, Dimo and assistant expended an enormous amount of time (more than 3/4th of a day) to assess the situation and carry out the plan without regard for the fact that the significant amount of their additional time would not translate into the payment of further charges.

On the same day that Dimo installed the water filtration system, he was scheduled to install a new water heater. Bearing in mind the amount of time taken to install the water filtration system, we indicated our willingness to wait until the next day to have the new water heater installed. True to his professionalism (and determination), Dimo insisted on completing the job ... even though it meant working into the evening. Indeed, Dimo did not leave until almost 9 PM ... and, without a single word (or gesture) of complaint (or frustration) at any time throughout the day and evening, departed the job conveying his sincere hope that we were pleased with the work.

What more can I possible say ... other than the following: Dimo earned our admiration and respect for his integrity and professionalism.

PS: This is the ONLY time I have ever filed a review with Yelp or any other such service. The reason is self-evident ... per the above.

I was referred to Dimo by another one of his colleagues. I'm a Solar Contractor myself, and we often times include high efficiency appliances in our projects, but it's hard to find true professionals at a reasonable price that are reliable, knowledgeable and ON TIME! This guy and his helper installed a Heat Pump (hybrid) water heater at my in law's house. I'll tell you,
after experiencing a few snafooes with other contractors not showing up, I was relieved.
BTW - I called about six different companies in the area and they didn't know squat about Heat Pump technology. Dimo explained it perfectly and even installed and fixed a few other items while he was there at a discounted price! Invoices where on time and he takes credit cards! Easy, fast and clean... I'll definitaley be subbing more work out to this company in the future.

I found Dimo through the Navien website as he is one of the only Navien trained/certified specialists in town. Having gotten two other bids from highly recommended plumbers I met Dimo for comparison. It was clear from the start that he was more knowledgeable about tankless heaters and in particular, Navien heaters than the others. He explained our different options, walking through the pros and cons of each brand and model we were considering, and made recommendations to not spend as much on unnecessary capacity upgrades, remote control, etc. that other plumbers had recommended. In the end his bid came in better than the other plumbers that both other plumbers admitted that they couldn't beat such a competitive bid or do the work as quickly as Dimo promised.

Dimo and a helper came a few days later on a Saturday (which we really appreciated as my husband and I both work full time about 50 hrs a week) and spent 9 hours here to reroute, replace our water pipes, remove the 20-yr old water heater, install the Navien heater with recirculating line, helping better secure our existing pipes under the house in the process. It was a big job and both Dimo and his assistant worked very diligently and efficiently. I never saw them take a break (even when I offered) and they were very professional (tyvek suits and all).

Dimo came back on Monday to check on the system, making sure all the air was out of the pipes and the pipes were as secure as they could be. A true professional!

We were so pleased with Dimo and his work that we begged our home warranty company to allow him to do some shower plumbing work we had pending. They finally conceded but Dimo and I had to spend an hour on the phone with them negotiating what they would cover (very little) and his price. In the end, he did the work for probably half his regular rates because he was helping us out but his work quality was top notch.

We were lucky to find Dimo and I'd highly recommend him to anyone. He's honest, friendly, professional, hardworking and knowledgeable. What more can you ask for?!
