We had a problem with our hot water heater, and Mark was quick to take care of it. Most impressively, he was very good at communicating: taking phone calls, setting expectations on timing, and keeping us informed throughout.

We've had a great experience with Mark Tango plumbing. They returned my call inquiring about services promptly when I couldn't get anyone else to call me back. They scheduled me for the next week at a time that was convenient for me and my family. They were totally respectful of my home and very professional, including kind with my young son. While he has a team of professionals in his employ, Mark came to our first house call himself. He walked us through our plumbing and heating system, gave us some honest opinions and tips, and charged us fairly for our maintenance. I liked that it's a local, family business and I really was left feeling like we'd found a trustworthy new plumber. We'll definitely be calling him the next time we need help with our plumbing and heating systems.

The only thing Mark cares about is collecting the easy money. If your looking for quality work don't call Mark Tango. He sent over his crew manager to put in a sink and toilet. The toilet bowl is now 4 inches from the wall. The crew manager said he could not put closer to the wall because it was an old model toilet and we bought a new model. Later that day I talked with my mother and she said a plumber did that to her too, but my brother was able to fix. Also the sink was not installed correctly. We bought a half pedestal for the sink. The crew manager explained that he could not put on since he would have to change the plumbing. (Guess what? it was the reason my husband called a plumber.) He explained this after he did the work and not as he was doing the work. I was sitting in the room next to the bathroom so it would have not been to difficult to ask. But again Mark and his workers are all about the easy money. Also the crew manager asked if they were taking away the toilet and sink. I said yes. No he did not take it away. I even left a message to let Mark know that his crew manager did not take away the toilet and sink. Mark did call back when I was not home. But my question is why was the pink toilet and sink still outside my house when I got home later that day. Was he just planning on letting me know he wasn't taking it. When a plumber charges over $200 dollars/hr I expect him to away the toilet and sink. The next day I checked to see if the crew manager was a licensed plumber. His licensed is expired and he cannot renew due to IRS problems. Mark is advertising as a licensed plumbing company yet sends a plumber out to my house without a current license who I believe in his own house would have taken the time to put the toilet up against the wall.

Responsive service and good communication, however prices are high. Does not accept credit card, cash or check only.

Wow, what a difference a few years make. In 2010, I left a 5-star review for Mark. This month, I used Mark again to do the same job in our new house that he did in our previous residence. We wanted Mark to install washer and drier hookups in our basement, as well as add a slop sink and a pump. Seems simple, right?

Getting in touch with Mark was MUCH more difficult this time around. Communication took weeks. At one point, he told me he'd call me that night. I didn't hear from him for four days, and then that was only because I called him. It took three weeks, but I finally got him to commit to a day to do the work.

When he (or rather, his crew) did the job, they did not install a drier hookup. When I asked him about it, Mark curtly told me that wasn't part of the estimate, and upon re-examining the estimate, I found he was right. However, every email and conversation we had involved him installing drier hookups just as he had done for us in 2010. The work Mark's men did was fine, but as far as communication goes, this time around Mark was really the worst contractor I've encountered (which is saying a lot). Oh, and did I mention that Mark insisted I pay his workers the moment the job was finished? I had to leave work early to cut them a check. I've never heard of a contractor who refused to send you a bill before....hopefully this is not a new trend.

In conclusion, Mark and his men do solid work, however communication is difficult, and payment must be made the day of the job. His prices have also increased noticeably over the past four years. Not the easiest plumber to work with.

Horrible customer service by the owner. I won't give him any stars due to this. I called him to get his service and asked about free estimates. He said he didn't do free estimates but he was very rude at answering any questions I made. I didn't hire him because of his attitude. I cannot talk about the queality of his job but wouldn't give him an opportunity either.

Mark is responsive and very good about being able to come for a job within 48 hours. His prices are reasonable, he's friendly and trustworthy and I highly recommend him.

Honestly, there are so many plumbing companies around these days, but Tango seemed to overlook this fact, assuming that they were the only plumbing company in my town. When I call a plumbing company or any contracting company, for that matter, I assume that they know how to do their job, so what I really look for is good customer service, which simply was not there with Tango Plumbing. They were expensive and spoke to you as if you did not know anything, as if this were rocket science and not the plumbing in my house. And if you are the type of person who likes to know where your hard earned money is going, then this place is simply not for you. The price the plumber quoted was a more expensive than what I had hoped to spend, so I tried to ask if he needed to buy parts from Home Depot and how much would the labor be. Basically, I just tired to break it down for myself, so I could prepare myself to pay for the job at the end. But without answering my questions, the plumber just ranted on about how the price is the same everywhere and that these have always been the company's rates. In the mean time, I was standing there thinking, I am not doubting whether these have been your company's rates; I just what to know where my money is going. And before I could ask anything else, the plumber just walked out of my house. No bye or anything. You don't need a college education to say something like ""sorry, it didn't work out"" or "" think about it, and let us know if we can help you with the faucet."" Had the plumber not rushed out, even I would have said, ""thank you for your time/I appreciate you coming on such short notice"" despite the sarcastic tone I had to put up with!

This company is seriously as good as it will ever get. Tango plumbing came out to install my new gas stove this past Saturday. Mark Tango the owner called me at 730pm on the Thursday prior to confirm all details. Said that the store opens at 10am - they would pick up my stove and be at my house anytime between 10am - 1pm. 10:20am on Saturday the truck pulled into the driveway. The two guys they sent out (I wish I could remember names) were super efficient and safe. I was freaking a little with the free flowing gas needing to be shut off, but they calmed my fears. Everyone I dealt with had great and authentic personalities. I got a quote and had several phone calls with other plumbers for twice the money who were also jerks so it was really refreshing to have some young (and I might add very cute) guys who were happy to be doing what they were doing and on a weekend to boot!
They removed my old stove, set up my new one and were out in less than an hour. Will definitely use Tango again if I have an issue.
