Recommended Customer Reviews

Tanabe Plumbing is a bonafide, experienced Plumber with family lineage.
Clayton answered my phone call while on another job and gave me another Tel. No to text my address to after briefly hearing my problem. Sorrily Clayton's Mother passed recently who handled to co. phones which explains the telephone complaint. Since I live in town close by he was able to come over shortly and diagnosed I needed a new kitchen faucet. We agreed I go to Costco and get my wanted Hansgrove faucet and he would come back to install it. I think it was lunchtime.
We returned in about an hour. Clayton helped clean-up my older stainless steel sink and advised me my older sink would look alright with the new tall fancy faucet with soap dispenser. It did and I was so pleased he was correct.
Clayton also pulled-up the smaller metal pipes on the floor under my sink that drove me crazy as I couldn't clean and there was no clearance if there was a leak somewhere. I did not know this until after Clayton left and it was a much appreciated non mentioned bonus!
Then I hadn't mention I had a long standing jiggly toilet handle I really wanted fixed. Clayton was nice enough to stay and look at it. Turned out my taller Koehler toilet has all non standard parts which were all badly adjusted and needed some need special parts. Clayton had all these non standard parts as well as the cap for the extra hole for the sink faucet in his truck! He literally rebuilt the innards of my toilet tank which were wrong and out of sink and linkage. I could tell by the ease that he did this as well as installing the big faucet and tuning up things here and there that Mr. Tanabe is a skilled seasoned plumber and has what you might need on hand. Mahalo also for a fair price for work done.
I will certainly call Tanabe Plumbing again!

Very reliable, efficient and cost effective! Always ensures the job is done to the customer's satisfaction.

Trusting and Excellant service..Clayton Tanabe is a great Professional Licensed Plumber. Called me back immediately at 8am on Monday morning. I highly recommend him. Came quickly, and installed my kitchen faucet which sprung a leak. Recommended I get a better brand from what I had..Did so, and he installed it, cleaned up, and I'm very pleased.. I would definitely use him again..You also can tell by his great clean truck. Thanks Clayton!

This guy is permanently in my address book. I have called him for a few things now; leaky shower, a toilet problem, and a new garbage disposal. He's the real deal, i.e. he "knows his stuff". You get legit professional results for a fair price. No complaints here. Someone mentioned a customer service issue but that's just his mom who helps out answering the phone sometimes. She's... old but means well. No big deal.

Great service. Returned my phone call the same day. I am not sure if it was cheap since I did not get any quotes from anyone else. But I thought it was very reasonable. And I would not hesitate to call them again.

Prompt, thorough, creative thinking work arounds for problems. 3rd generation, one-man-band. Recommended as long as you don't make him too busy that he can't service our apartment. :)

Worst POSSIBLE customer service I've ever received. As I'm sure you can imagine, having plumbing problems is very stressful. I called in, having heard great things about Tanabe Plumbing, and a woman picks up after a few rings. First off, very unprofessional, she answers with a plain, "hello?" No indication that I've reached the business I was hoping to, no thank you, nothing. I explained what was going on, and that I'd like help today if possible. She rudely and shortly retorts, "today? Oh, he doesn't work today. Bye." And hangs up on me. When I tried to call back to explain that it doesn't have to be today, I just want it fixed some time soon, now magically the phone rings until it goes to voice mail. I'm all for going with local, small businesses, but if I'm going to get hung up on by someone, I'd rather go with a bigger company. I ended up going with Emergency Plumbing and Solar, who picked up immediately, was very helpful and receptive over the phone, and is sending someone within two hours. I'll pay more for that.
