I just paid $165 for absolutely nothing. The guy came to diagnose the problem, within 15 minutes he said my leakage is from the dishwasher and that I need to get a dishwasher repairer. Then I asked if he could caulk my bathroom sink which was also leaking from the side, he said I need to replace the drain altogether to prevent the leaking, and he didn't have the part and he will have to go get it from the store and I would have to pay for the time of him getting this drain from the store and wouldn't tell me how long this will take. I said no I will find someone who has the part as I didn't want to pay for his time to get this drain. The whole visit took less than 20 min. And I asked if I get prorated on the hour, he said no. So I paid $145 hourly rate plus his travel of $10 plus taxes, total $165 for absolutely nothing, no fixing of anything and not even a whole hour of his time. Also they don't take credit card, has to be cash or check, which was not communicated to me on the phone. On top of it all, they don't give electronic copy of invoice, they ask for your email but don't provide receipt electronically. They only give you a handwritten receipt with scribbles and very generic description and no one can read. My claim adjuster needs the plumber diagnostics to proceed and this is blocking me because they refuse to send me an electronic copy of my receipt! I would be very aware of any businesses that don't want to properly document anything.
Rip off, shady, dishonest and unreasonable business.
We developed a leak in our kitchen sink drain pipe and Tamasi plumbing and heating was recommended to me by a neighbor. So I called them and they got right back to me and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and courteous and he sent Linden out within a couple of hours and he made the necessary repairs. He was also very pleasant. They were also very fair with what they charged us also. Tamasi Plumbing and heating is definitely our go to plumber for future repairs. Thanks Scott McGavin
Didn't provide estimates and charged a lot for 10 minute fix. When I asked for estimate, he mentioned he cannot give as it depends on the work. Hard to belive as this is something they would have done 1000s of time over the years. Felt cheated.
I needed Frost Free Spigot replaced. Called Tamasi and the service person showed up as per the scheduled time fully prepared for the job. Finished the job cleanly and I am very happy with it. Thanks Lynden.
Great - I was able to reach them on the phone directly and have someone come out the same day to fix a leaking toilet at a fair price. The plumber showed up in the pouring rain and took off his shoes and cleaned up after doing the work.
Greg Tamasi is a problem solver. He is always able to find the problem and fix it. It is a pleasure doing business with them.
William W.After he left, I found a more powerful plunger to dry and clear out the drain. After not the first but after the second plunge, it cleared. Joe came, used his flashlight, charged $138 for nothing - not even an attempt to solve the problem. He recommended calling other specialists which could have cost thousands more. When I called today to share what had happened, he didn't care at all. Stay away!
After telling the plumber what part we needed on the phone, he showed up 45 minutes late without the part. He then left to get the part after using our bathroom and tracking mud all over the floor. He was gone for at least an hour, which we were billed $130 an hour for. Meanwhile, I had taken off time for work and was hoping to get back to work in a timely manner, but this was not the case. Upon returning with the necessary part, he needed to make calls to supervisors in order to learn how to install it correctly. These calls were done slowly, adding more to the time he was charging for this visit. I wasn't expecting amazing customer service, but my wife and I were shocked at his lack of expertise, and unpreparedness. To charge a customer for retrieving a part that I understood he was bringing ahead of time is bad business. While the job was completed, we were overcharged and won't be using this business again.
While I was deployed over seas my wife called Tamasi Plumbing for a backed up sewer line. They came to the house and said they could not fix it and asked for $96.00. Then they started harassing her to pay them on the spot. She was very upset and asked them to send a bill. Now they are continuing to send us a bill for telling us we had a backed up sewer line and that they were not capable of fixing it. Very disappointed that while I was deployed overseas defending our country Tamasi Plumbing was harassing my wife.
Mr. Lynden Ireland from Tamasi Plumbing and Heating has recently repaired massive pipe breaks due to frozen pipe burst. He came in to a complicated project and was right away onto the task. He was so hard working and highly skilled. Many leaks were in places so difficult to locate and so hard to access and repair, but Lynden simply tackled them one after another. It's a miracle he eventually fixed the whole system and he saved my house. He is professional, compassionate, and with high integrity. Lynden and his boss Grag Tamasi could have opportunity to sell me new devices and make more money. But, they worked hard to revive my existing device and do whatever they can to cut my expense. It's clear to me that helping people in need is their business goal. I feel lucky that I turned to Tamasi Plumbing and Heating for help during this unfortunate event. And I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs help.
