I highly recommend Geno and Taku Plumbing and Heating! I woke up (on the first day we got snow, of course!) to a very chilly house, and realized that our boiler had gone out during the night. I called Taku Plumbing and Heating that morning, and Geno was able to come later that same day. He worked on our boiler for several hours to get it back up and running (it had massive soot build up, among other issues). Geno is willing to work as long (and as late into the evening) as it takes to fix the problem. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and he truly cared about getting the heat back on for my family. He is committed to keeping our outdated (and dying) boiler going through the winter, so that we 1) don't have to change our heating system in the middle of winter and 2) have time to research what our next heating system will be. We are so grateful to Geno for his help! I should add, that we've also used Geno to fix a leaking toilet, and his work was top notch, and he is reasonably priced. Thank you, Geno!

I've been living in Juneau for four years now. Every year before winter, I stress out about my oil boiler and the need to have it cleaned and serviced. Can I get a quick appointment? Is the quote going to be reasonable? Will the technician be on time? Am I going to learn a little more about that scary contraption? This year, thanks to Taku Plumbing and Geno, the answer to all four questions was a resounding YES! I learned a whole lot about my archaic heat machine. Geno is so knowledgeable. The day of the appointment was stressless as Geno arrived on time, ready to go. The costs were on a par with other quotes I got when I did initial research. And, the customer service before, during and after my appointment was top notch. It is going to be a great winter!

Outrageous hourly rate $191/hr! Billed way more time than he actually worked, and never fixed the problem or attempted to make it right after billing over $2k. When I requested a breakdown of labor and materials he never provided and failed to follow up, and after 30 days without a response from him had the audacity to send me a finance charge of 2 labor hours, another $382, 15%, not even sure that's legal.
