It pains me to write this review because I have used T Webber before and gave them very positive reviews. Today I called them to come replace two kitchen faucets (all plumbing is in place, just a one-for-one replacement in our existing finished kitchen). I have the brand new high quality faucets here already so it is an install only, no parts. The flexible leads are here so no copper or pipe sweating. I was blown away when I got the initial estimate of $2095, which was lowered to $1795 when I choked on the number. The install consists of 2 bolts and water screw on leads x 2 for the 2 sinks. Needless to say I DID NOT use T Webber this time, and despite previous good experiences with them, I won't be calling them again. Just for comparison purposes, I have just scheduled a new licensed plumber who has quoted $125 per sink and estimates he will accomplish both in 1.5 hours.
Our septic tank was overflowing onto our driveway. We have a system where water flows into a second tank and then gets pumped uphill to fields. T Webber tech told me pipe was broken between two tanks and would be a major job to repair. Day they came to do the repair I was told the crew would be there at 8am. One guy showed up around 930 and sent a helper an hour later. Was supposed to be a whole day affair with a crew to do this ""difficult"" repair. Total time with 2 guys was less than 3 hours which was mostly spent sitting around. I was charged over 2000$ for a repair that was a little digging and one bag of cement. They covered it up before I could see the repair they had made and demanded payment for their sloppy work. Time will tell how long it holds up but I will not be calling t Webber again. T Webber is overpriced with very sloppy work. The employees also seem to hate their job and the company they work for
Needed replacement of toilet wax seal. Service tech and assistant were super-nice, professional and clean. Said it would take 2 to 2.5h, but took about 45mins and the charge was $550 + fuel surcharge (if flange was not damaged). I thought this was quite high but based on Webber's ratings I figured it had to be right. Later found out that a experienced plumber would only charge around $200. Too bad, will not use T Webber again.
This company is all sales and no service. Ever since we got an entire mini-split system installed throughout the house in 2020, we have had nothing but trouble -perpetual leaks in the system, inconsistent cooling and heating, and bad couples on the original installation. Even after insisting they reinstall new ones, they continued to fail. After many conversations with multiple service technicians (and also the manager) our contractor then sat down with the manager in person to give the company every opportunity to correct the ever present and mounting issues. Now they they won't even call us back. We have had to cut ties with them and move on to another company to get proper service and right all of T Webber's wrongs. We recommend you don't hire this company.
I'm in NY. T. Webber provided the absolutely WORST experience I've had with a Plumbing company in my life. My plumbing lines had air in them causing the water to come out ""spitting"". They came out, did minimal diagnostics and replaced a tank that was working fine, charging me an outrageously high price. It did not fix the problem, and the tank was so poorly installed that it almost fell over a few weeks later The tech who came out was severely lacking in knowledge and his approach was to replace things one by one until he could find out what was wrong. He seemed more like a sales rep than a plumber. I had another company come out, diagnose it immediately, explain the procedure and and fix it for half the price T. Webber charged. I will NEVER use T. Webber again. They focus on selling and are not very good at fixing!!
Complete ripoff! I hired this sham company to do some work they sent a rep who went to great lengths to convince me why it was in my best interest not to Complete the electrical work we hired the company to do. Then after doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING he strong armed me into paying him approximately $400 just for coming to my house fir about 15 minutes. This company should be listed on the Better Business Bureau's list of unscrupulous and crooked companies to be aware of.
Frank G.So I thought I would give T. Webber a shot since the company I usually use was not available. The project was to: 1. Change a direct power connect to an outlet for a dishwasher. 2. Install a new dishwasher.
The old dishwasher was removed, the new one was sitting in the kitchen. Obviously Home Depot delivery was unable to do the installation. While I likely could have done the plumbing connection I needed an electrician for the power.
T.Webber sent an electrician first who was very knowledgeable and professional. He was able to get the new outlet setup in around 30 minutes. With tax the cost was around $350. They sent a plumber next to assessed the hookup of the dishwasher and quoted me $900 to do the hookup. No actual changes to my water supply or drain plumbing needed to be made. I passed on the job and he called his boss. The best that they could do was $650. I passed on that.
The plumber tried to collect a fee, I refused to pay since the electrician signed me up for a membership which supposedly eliminated a fee.
I found a handyman service who was able to install the dishwasher in approximately 40 minutes. The cost was $150.
I will likely not be using T. Webber in the future. I can't trust their prices and paying even $650 to hookup a dishwasher is insane.
Next time I will look for a local electrician.
Next time I am going to continue a handyman service for appliance installs.
Had them come for estimate to replace garbage disposal in kitchen under sink. They quoted me $2,200 for a product that costs $200-300. When I confronted 2 workers with that, they said let me go to truck and call boss. They came back and like that said they could do $1,700. I said no thanks, you are ripping me off and that had chutzpuh to charge me $139 for visit. They have done some small work in past and were fine but have lost me as a customer.
Scheduled a maintenance call just for Tune up on heating system. The service tech was nice. Arrived promptly and diagnosed several issues with the heating system which would have cost over $5,000! Which is half the cost of a brand new heating system. My husband and I called another company who provided a thorough inspection of our system and found nothing wrong with our system. In addition, they reviewed the notes from T. Webber and saw a lot of unnecessary, costly repairs added. All told, I appreciated the honesty of the new company- who will be getting every dime of our business from here on out. All told it cost us $190.00 and I can be confident that our home will be warm this winter. I consider this a lesson learned to always get a second opinion and to trust my gut that if it doesn't feel right- there is a reason for that. Good luck T. Webber- you really overplayed your hand with these homeowners!
I feel obligated to share with you and warn you about the prices T Webber charges for their work. 1. Needed a new well pump. T Webber quoted me a price of 6,900 dollars to install a new well pump. I called another local pump company and they came out and installed a new pump for 1,700 dollars!! 2. The electric panel in my house is old and needs to be replaced. T Webber quoted me a price of 6,300 dollars for a 200 amp service and 5,400 for a 100 amp service. I called another local electrical contractor who quoted me a price of 2,700 dollars to install a new panel! There is no argument here. These are the prices T Webber quoted me. They should be ashamed how they rip off their customers.
