Deeply disappointed by the quality of work. I was shocked by his lack of knowledge. Tommy used old and recycled parts, but charged us for new pieces. We found another plumber who's work was significantly better than Tommy.

It's now 2020. In 2014 I worked with Tom to install a gas line for our grill. He originally quoted me $750, and then added another 27%, $200 for adding in a second shut off valve - which was required to clear inspection. Even the inspector said Tom the code is the code, and it shouldn't be an extra charge, but i paid it. About a month later, Tom called me stating he never got my check. I referenced the check number and date written but he stated his elderly father handled his books and must have misplaced it. He said i didnt have to cancel the first one, but i did ($30 charge), and then sent a new one.

Fast forward to 9/2020, six years later, and i get a call from Tom telling me that i never paid, and he found an uncashed check from me. It took me a minute to even remember who he was and then remembered what happened in 2014. I referenced that it was probably the first one his dad misplaced, and he said no, that he was sure it was the second one and I had to pay him again. I said no, since i was sure i paid, and that he shouldn't be calling customers 6 years later for bookkeeping issues btw him and his father. he THREATENED small claims court on me, and said he was within the statues of limitation to come after me.

Luckily, i am very organized and worked with my bank to get a copy of the 2nd check, successfully deposited in his bank account. when i called him back he claimed he never threatened me. As someone who also owns their own business and works with clients, I was appalled by his call, the way he handled it, and the fact he never even checked his own statements before calling. He put the burden of proof on me, a customer, and if I were elderly or not a organized, i likely would have paid again because of his threat for court. Throughout the call, he cut me off and talked over me. I felt badgered.

His work was fine, other than not doing it to code and then up charging me (at the time, a female first time homeowner in my mid 20s) but for other plumbing issues i used a different company because of it. That said, it's yesterday's call that is truly pushing me to write this. II typically don't write reviews but am today, because i am worried about other customers he might be manipulating for additional funds not owed.

Terrible experience then and now.
