Our central air stopped working on Saturday. It was 91 degrees in our house. I called Systematic Control in Flushing/Bayside and although they were closed for the day, I left a message, and a gentleman named Bob called me back right away. He told me that someone would be able to come on Monday morning. I explained that I have asthma and he said he would try his best to get someone out to me on Sunday. He was able to and now our air is back on and I am able to breathe easier again (Thanks Steve!). Bob was so kind and helpful. Every time I called, he would return my call within just a few minutes. It was an absolute pleasure speaking with him and I greatly appreciate his help in taking care of my situation. I definitely recommend working with Bob and Systematic Control.

I have to update this review. I received a letter from Neil Carbone (owner) telling me he was reviewing my situation vis a vis a check for half the contract which obviously was not provided. He stated in that letter that he has a whole bunch of photos ( not sure why) and one is of a humidification system which they did not provide or install. He also claimed they had been servicing my home for fifteen years. 1) They sure did sell me the humidification unit and install it and I have the paperwork signed by Neil Carbone himself! from the Fall of 2019. 2) I have only lived here for four years. God, its bad enough this company sends people who have no idea what they are doing but they themselves have no idea what work they did in this house. Sad, because they were a really good company once upon a time. On the upside, and to their credit, I did receive a check today for a little over $400.00 which represents half the yearly contract which they did not provide. Now if only they were as reliable on everything else.

Outstanding Job!
Hi Anthony - It's Lolly & Richard - can't thank you enough for our brand new AC. From start to finish it has been a pleasure dealing with your entire staff. From the office to the people in the field - they were professional, polite, knowledgeable, courteous & friendly. The equipment you purchased & installed for us is performing far better than our old one (even before it broke down). Thank you again & kudos to you for running such a great organization.

This company has the worst customer service I've ever had the bad luck to encounter. They couldn't identify the problem with my generator, and when they finally (did after 5 separate visits), I needed to purchase a part for $900. The first outage after the ""fixed"" it, the generator still wasn't working. When I called, they said they would send someone that day. They didn't. I called the next day and had the pleasure of dealing with the rudest woman on earth. She was nasty, with the worst attitude, and had the nerve to tell me that I wouldn't be seeing anyone for a few days, too bad. Even though we had just paid them $900 to fix a generator that was not working, and that was on top of the $650 yearly maintenance fee they charge.
I wasn't going to write a bad review because the service people that I've dealt with are all really great, very polite and professional (we had also used them for heating). However, when I called to cancel my contract the woman I spoke with said I would receive a call from their customer service rep to get to the bottom of the problem. Guess who called back? The nasty, awful woman I had previously dealt with. She must be an owner because there is no way they would allow this person anywhere near their customers. Instead of being apologetic and remorseful that she had left us with no heat or electricity , she was obnoxious and arrogant because she was in a position of power. Disgusting behavior.
Do your due diligence before using this company!!

If you want to not be called back numerous times and be taken for a ride both with your time and money call them up. The actually repairman who serviced us was nice and did what he could. For the rest of this company nothing good to say.

I have used them on several occasions with problems on my furnace. I found their service personnel polite, skilled, and was always highly satisfied with their work. HOWEVER, on their last visit, in my opinion they were outrageously expensive. You be the judge: for about 1hr (more or less) labor $256. For a part they charged me $560. I checked with a local plumbing supply store, they sell the part for $150. For this reason, unfortunately, I can no longer use them in the future.

installation 9/6. by 11/15:
still, no one has introduced me to the new equipment (how to maintain/service it). after installation, your crew left (didn't clean up very well), and left a thermostat in a box on the dining room table. that's all. what am i supposed to make of all that?
systematic: vinny went over job / installed stat oct 29
me: no he didn't. he looked at the place to figure out how to distribute the heat better. he installed the thermostat.
====
i have a certificate of capital improvement as well as a town permit. i never got a manual/warranty information, nor did i get instructions on what to do with the certificate or permit.
systematic: emelina needs for the state for no tax
me: what does that mean?
====
final inspection - no idea. no information given.
systematic: emelina schedules with town...
me: ok. was someone going to tell me that, or did i have to ask? when will that happen?
====
chimney liner - no idea. no information given. (no cross-selling or up-selling.)
systematic: town usually requires /but not always / **** will give you our price
me: ok. was someone going to tell me that, or did i have to ask? when will that happen?
====
additional work - i have no complaints about needing it. why, after it was agreed that it would go behind the wall, was in placed in front of the wall without even a phone call to me to explain that what we had agreed on had changed?
systematic: i explained it had to do with turn behind the wall.
me: i know. it's just another example of bad customer service in how this job was handled
====
finally, and most important - the heat problem - there is an 8-16 degree difference between upstairs (smaller footprint and four radiators) and downstairs (larger footprint and three radiators). during the 1.5 years we have been planning, that has been a key point all along. your crew installed the boiler and left. no one addressed the heat problem.
systematic: there was a clogged steam valve that was replaced / no charge .
me: replaced / no charge? i provided it! your guys didn't even have one with them!

systematic: we are testing operation with your new boiler that may improve everything as i described previously . vinny described alternate choices ..slab concerns./ pitch of pipes and opening of wall to recess.
all may not be required.
me: required: more heat needs to be added. i've been saying that for 1.5 years now to you. it seems that when daddy got involved (who by the way, doesn't give a s*** about customers or customer service) he actually grasped the concept that there were once more radiators on the main floor, which will have to be re-added to achieve equilibrium between main and second floor
====
stove barely worked after installation. you told me to bleed it. i did, and got no results. then, i discovered that the stove was turned off! your crew did not turn it back on.
systematic: safe better than sorry gas cock off
me: is that your way of apologizing for a mistake that inconvenienced me for days, and went unanswered? another example of bad customer service in how this job was handled
====
we get time-sensitive calls from systematic on our home phone, even though we are at work. why wouldn't you call the work number?
systematic: duly noted...can you forward your home calls to your cell ???? certain to get all calls
me: is that your way of apologizing for a mistake? seriously? you're asking me to be further inconvenienced and do something i never do because your people can't dial the correct phone number to reach me?
====
me: you have solved my boiler problem. you have not solved my heat problem.
systematic: we are addressing the boiler and gave only one option with the contractual agreement signed to offer a larger radiator in which you may not need....
me: in other words, you didn't listen to me

me: take care of this so you can receive final payment.
systematic: these items are all addressed ...please contact richard pearlman / acct rec
me: wait, you want to get paid, so it's my job to ask him for the invoice? these items are not all addressed. you will be paid when they are

STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY -

Systematic Control installed a new Trane central a/c system for me in 2014. At that time they were supposed to register the system with the manufacturer in order for me to get the 10 year manufacturers warranty that I was promised in writing in the contract I have. I just found out last week that Systematic never registered my unit and therefore I have no manufacturer's warranty.
To make matters worse they have not returned any of the three phone calls I have made to Anthony or Neil Carbone the owners. It's one thing to screw up like they did but quite another to duck the problem and try to sweep it under the rug like it never happened.
I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so that others can be made aware of their unscrupulous ways and hopefully you heed my warning.
My recommendation is to save yourself the headache and frustration I'm faced with and find a reputable company that knows how to follow protocol and stands behind their work. Systematic Control clearly does not. This applies to their Great Neck and Bayside locations.
If and when they admit to their mistake and take the necessary action to remedy it I'll update this review.

This company was considered the best in service and installation. Their prices are higher but nobody could match their service. I always recommend them to plenty of friends. I heard from some friends that they were unhappy with them but thought it was over their high prices.
The other day, the blower motor on my air conditioning unit was making loud noises. I immediately call systematic control and explained my problem. The person I spoke to just indicated that I should ""keep an eye on it""! I said I want service. He said I call you back. No call. I called again and spoke to someone else. Same story "" I call you back"". This happen 4 times ! On the fifth call, they said they will either call later or first thing in the morning and he said they start at 7:30. At 10:30 am no call. I call again same story. I must of made 10 calls since I was never given a time for them to come. At last 24 hours after I made my first call, they show up. After 5 minutes the technician took my fan and said ""I try to come back later but you need to call my boss."" I called and they said the usual comment "" I call you back"". By 6 pm I knew they were not coming. I emailed the company and Anthony the person in charge of service called me. He exhibited no concern for my issues and insisted that his company is the best and I need to accept his practices. I indicated that all other companies don't treat their customers this way and obviously he denied that. He said "" we are the best and nobody competes with us"" I told him I want my a/c repaired that's it. He tried to explain why it takes so long to replace a motor that's available everywhere for $175.
Now we are on day 3 ! My wife and I continue to call to see when they will come to install this fan. Can't recall how many and they promised the morning and by 3 pm no one showed up! I drove to their place and demanded my parts so I can get a more reputable company to service my home. They insist it's on their truck. By 4 pm they show up and install. Oh the price ---Almost $800. I learned my lesson. I almost forgot- no estimate until they were about to come so what can you do when they took your stuff? Then they had the balls to request cash for no tax. How silly

My boiler needed to replaced and I wanted to have a mini-split air conditioning system installed. I called Systematic Control and one other company (that was more highly rated) to compare pricing and the services offered. Both offered comparable prices and similar options. The other company had higher rating, but I decided to go with Systematic Control for two reasons: 1) the company was in the neighborhood and 2) I had experience with them (they annually checked my old boiler). I am happy I went with Systematic Control.

Admittedly, it did longer than expected to begin work on the boiler installation. However, once it began, it was completed in two days.

Both the mini-split and boiler installations were done expeditiously and well. Both jobs were completed in two days and each mess was subsequently cleaned-up to my satisfaction.
