E S.Easy to schedule, Brian was on time, and got what we thought would be a tough job done quickly and efficiently. We couldn't have asked for better!
Customer beware. This company was just bought out by Mike Courcy of Courcy Enterprises in East Syracuse. Back in August, we had them show up (six weeks after we initially called our insurance company!) to repair a main water leak. They had to dig 450' and bury a new line. Its been 4 months but the job was never completed. During this time, Mr. Courcy lied over and over telling us he'd be at our house but never showed up. He said he had only 2 employees but he owns Syracuse Plumbing, so that's also not true. Mike Courcy, himself showed up just once (at the beginning). Then all the problems began. Don't be fooled, he's a figurehead, nothing more. He got mad at us because we kept asking why they would work for a day (or half a day) and then not show up for 10! He kept saying they were busy! This was a $40K job paid to him by HomeServe! Wouldn't that be important enough? He forgot to put a tracer line in the ground (which is code) and then made the excuse that they did it intentionally and were going to dig a foot down and put it in at a later date. They were going to bury the county shutoff valve 4' below the ground if I didn't intervene and show them what they were doing. He never restored our lawn, instead he quit because he said we kept complaining about how long it was taking and that he did enough. Now we're left with a $5-10K lawn repair that he was suppose to do a basic restoration on, but did nothing of the sort. He left 1 foot ditches, tractor ruts, a berm was taken out and never replaced, and it was never reseeded; all of which he said he would do at the beginning and the insurance company paid him for. The repair area is approx. 5000 sq. ft.!! Who does that to a customer? Stay away from anything Courcy owns, including Syracuse Plumbing. They're unreliable, do unprofessional work, are non-responsive, and only care about the money. More importantly, the public needs to know that the NYS Attorney General is investigating Courcy Enterprises for fraud. Yes, we were covered by an insurance company, but Courcy quit before the restoration of our property was complete, which he was responsible for, and now the insurance company won't finish his work and we're being told we need to pay for the restoration ourselves! He took out plants, trees, a sidewalk, a berm, and a 15' x 400' section of our lawn and just left it that way. Maybe no one has ever called Courcy out on his company's unresponsiveness and never showing up for work, but after dozens of calls over a 4 month period, only rarely answering and then never showing up when they said they would, when do all the excuses just become lies? It became so stressful, my wife had heart surgery over it and he didn't bat an eye... just took the insurance money and ran. He left our property destroyed! When he does what's right and restores our property from the $40K he received from the insurance agency, I'll take this review down, but we're not holding our breath.
Fo B.This is a review of Syracuse Plumbers new customer service, not a review of their plumbing work. I phoned SP recently asking for an estimate on replacing showers and faucets in a couple of bathrooms. I phoned a week later as a reminder. Days of phone tag resulted in a service person coming out, looking at the bathrooms and promising an estimate. He then charged me $108 for a service call. When I objected, he said this could probably be deducted from the job bill. A few days later the manager called requesting my email for the estimate. After I called SP 3 times in the same day giving my email, I have still not received the estimate.
Although SP did not provide me their plumbing services, I would like to thank them for providing me the service of understanding how they deal with their customers. Instead of paying thousands for this understanding, I only paid $108 which I think is good value for the potential headaches they saved me. I have terminated my relationship with Syracuse Plumbing.
Called in the morning and Brian showed up a couple hours later and fixed problem within half hour. He was very professional, worn mask the whole time despite of 90oc temperature. Would definite recommend them!
We used this company previously in our business and service was efficient and timely; today we needed a toilet installed in our home;

Absolutely terrible. The plumber I spoke to was in the car driving and was not paying attention to anything I was saying. He could not give me any type of appointment time, so apparently I was supposed to take an entire day off work to sit around and wait. He then said the only time he could guarantee was first thing in the morning when they start working at 7:30. I said OK that great, because I work all day, but my boyfriend will be there in the morning since he doesn't start work until 9, and I stressed this. He told me he would be at my house between 7:30 and 8. At 8:35 he pulls up as my boyfriend is leaving to get to work and simply says ""oh, are you leaving?"" My bf said that yes, he had to get to work and the guy just drove off. Never acknowledged he was late, never apologized, and I never got any kind of phone call or anything afterwards.
Brenda F.They took care of my issue on the day that I called then suggested some improvements so it didn't happen again. When I called them to schedule they connected me to the plumber that was coming out so I could tell him directly what the issue was and he quickly diagnosed the problem of a plugged pipe. He called me as he finished up to let me know it will happen again unless I do some modifications. I asked him to get me an estimate then I will decide, figuring it would be a week before getting back to me. He called me two days later. Great Service!
We've had a bad experience with this company. Besides not completing the job, the plumber was abrasive and rude.
