As a person who likes to support local businesses, I hired Sweets to snake (unclog) the kitchen drain in my rental house in Shoshone that was unoccupied at the time. When I was informed that the job had been completed, I was billed for $184.00. As I do not currently live in that area, I trusted what I was told and paid that bill immediately. A few weeks later I had tenants move in. Upon them moving in, I was informed that the kitchen sink would not drain. I called Sweet's back to let them know. They went back to my rental which was now occupied. They stated they would have to do ""additional"" services to unclog the kitchen sink since they had snaked it and that didn't seem to work. At that time, I spoke to the technician that had gone to my home the first time to unclog the drain. He stated to me at that time that he indeed DID NOT snake the sink that he only plunged it. So I learned that I was lied to and that I had paid $184.00 for a plunger. On the second visit to unclog the kitchen sink, they removed the toilet and reset it breaking tiles on the bathroom floor, snaked the main from the roof, dug up the main and stated they had to remove tree roots. After another bill of close to $600.00 for this service, the kitchen sink was still never snaked nor unclogged by Sweets Septic which was the original request. I then had to hire another reputable company out of Twin Falls to come and snake my kitchen sink. They did and the problem was solved. I pay the Evans Plumbing (highly recommend) $280.00 for this service. After 9 months of trying to get Dave Sweet to do the right thing and compromise on the bill (supplying Evans Plumbing bill to him on his request) and him refusing, he is telling me that they in fact did much more to the tune of another $600.00 that they ""forgot"" to bill me for and if I'd just pay the first $600.00, he wouldn't bill me for the forgotten charges. I refused and told him I would not pay him any more money. I would not throw good money after a horrible lying service and company. He has now sent me to collections. Do not use Sweet's Septic. All the local people advised me against using them as they have a terrible reputation. I guess I just had to find out for myself. Do Not Do Not Do Not ever use Sweet's Septic Tank & Backhoe Service!!! EVER!
