After getting a quote from Abc plumbing to install a shower handle for about $2,300 I called Swanson plumbing for a second opinion. They quoted me about $500. I have used Swanson plumbing before and now It is the only place I will call for plumbing from now on. My husband and were quite disappointed with our experience. We had a service call for 2 problems. First problem, we had no hot water in the shower/tub for our 2nd bathroom. This was repaired with a smal part. Second problem, we had a leak in our kitchen sink faucet hose. After asking me several times if I wanted to just replace the faucet and a call to my husband we said no, we just wanted the hose replaced. After looking at and taking several pictures, the PLUMBER told me that HE didn't the what make/model it was. He said he was going to the supply store to see if anyone could help. He returned about 45-60 minutes later with no answer. He said WE could order the hose if WE could find the make/model or we needed to replace the faucet. When my husband returned home from work that evening, much to OUR surprise the make/model name is stamped ON TOP of the faucet! I called Swanson the following morning, The lady I spoke with said that the plumber was unfamiliar with that brand and that was the problem. After some discussion she agreed to only bill us for the bathroom. I received the $153.00. $75.00 for the call (I agree) $78.00 for the part (a new bathroom faucet at Home Depot is $ 143.00). By the way, we ordered the hose for our kitchen faucet on-line ($58.00 with shipping) and we are going to have Buchner's plumbing install it! We have had several friends tell us how happy they have been with Buchner's!
