Why service when you can replace ! All I needed was my unit outside cleaned and 1 pound of Freon. My system now is good to go! I called to ask swan why I was never offered Freon and when I called to ask why. I was told it was a waste of money. This company only want's the big Job's go elsewhere.
Caution.... use this company at your own risk. First... a bait and switch on price.... BEWARE. I recently scheduled an appointment for a furnace diagnostic with Swan Heating and Air. I was quoted the coupon price listed directly on their website of $22 for a diagnostic during the week or $99 on the weekend. I opted to wait for the Monday call of $22 dollars although I would be out of town and a representative would have to be there. I left a check for $22 to cover the cost. However, after the diagnostic, the tech charged my rep $49. My rep ended up paying out of his own pocket.
Said furnace needed replaced, leaking CO2 etc, and scheduled appt for NEW furnace. If we didn't want a new furnace, cost to fix with signed waiver was 600 plus.
When I heard from my rep, I called to question the price change, and to also cancel the new furnace measure. The next day I still received a text that the tech was on the way. I called again to let them know... owner answered and asked why I was cancelling. I told him about the price switch and trust issue now. He got very verbally aggressive and abusive. Told me that the $49 was the right price if we didn't have the repair, and that it was printed everywhere, and I had to understand how he would lose money at $22. When I explained neither the coupon, advertising, nor schedule rep said that.. assured it was the $22, he got very nasty, told me I could have my entire money back (stick it, so to speak), that it was written everywhere about the stipulation, and then that I obviously didn't appreciate good service and they didn't want my business anyway, then after a few more grumble tones, he hung up on me. When I called today to see how the refund was going to be handled, and to let them know the coupon on their site says $22. No stipulation in print... the scheduler was intermittently rude as well, told me I spoke over her and needed to shut up so she could talk. Although I cannot speak of their actual work quality, I have never been treated so disrespectfully and would not trust their bait and switch pricing on anything. I will try to post a pic of the coupon from their website on 2/28/2018. Also, it looks like the price to fix this problem is going to be under $100 using another repair service.

Phil showed up and he was professional and polite and assessed the problem and went straight to work. Thank goodness it was nothing major! I would recommend their company to anyone! I have been in Real estate for 30 years, and I know what it costs for a new compressor. They quoted me 4700.00. I just installed an entire new unit at a home I own in California for only 3500.00. My home was built in 2006, AND I know the builder. Come on guys! Then, he says he needs 45.00 for a service call. No one told me I would be charged 45.00, and no one gave me a written diagnosis.
Jeff B.Started with a spring tune up that came to the conclusion that the air conditioner refrigerant was no longer being manufactured and that maintaining the air conditioner was going to get very expensive. Combined with the age of the furnace, 15 years, and same for water heater, I decided to have Swan replace all 3 units at the same time. A hefty investment. The instillation went OK, but the workmanship was less than I had hoped for given the reputation of the company. A furnace access door was bent and did not shut. I discovered it myself the day after the instillation and called. Was told a new door would be ordered and fixed in a few days. Nothing. Weeks later I called, no new door. Finally Swan came over and put some latches on the bent door.
I was told that I would be eligible for rebates on furnace and AC at the time of purchase. That SWAN would take care of it and the paper work had been started. Well, after repeated calls to the office whereby I was informed that the rebate paperwork was 'in the mail', 2 months later, still nothing. Here's a case where a company takes your money, makes promises, and doesn't keep them. Unacceptable.
There are too many HVAC business competing in Loveland/FoCo for the poor workmanship and terrible follow through I experienced.
I would advise looking for another reputable HVAC and not trust the ratings that SWAN has on social media. Not accurate.

Fred C.Swan is an exceptional company. We lost heat due to a failed fan and they quickly came out and fixed the problem under warranty. I've used Swan for 10 years and highly recommend them.
They were able to get out quickly, within a week when most other duct cleaning companies weren't available until September. They did a very thorough cleaning, explained some additional things to help with air conditioner and furnace maintenance. Very friendly and professional.

I'll get right to the point. My furnace needed an ignitor on a Sunday. $99 for the service call, and I'm fine with that. To attempt to charge me $346 to remove one easily accessible screw and replace a $28 part is in my opinion highway robbery. I politely asked the tech to leave and replaced the part myself on Monday. Swan did nothing wrong; they can charge whatever the market will bear and may very well do quality work. I would just urge potential customers (and myself) to call around and ask a few more questions before assuming your checkbook will be treated reasonably. I chose Swan because they were listed as a representative on my furnace manufacturers website. Rest assured, I will never call them again.
