Since Ted Johnson established the business in 1989, SVM has served Siskiyou County. In 1999, Ted’s son James Johnson joined as a partner. In 2013, SVM Plumbing broadened its services to encompass heating and air conditioning. In 2021, we integrated Meek and Jones Well and Pump Co. into our operations, expanding our capabilities. Our office is situated at 1113 S. Main St in Yreka, and we are dedicated to serving the whole Siskiyou County.

These guys really are A cut above the rest. Quality work and professional. The other two companies that I called said there was nothing wrong with my system. I think I would know if my air was blowing room temperature all the time. SVM came out and took a lot of time to find the problem. They scheduled a time and came out and fixed it. I am so happy that these guys are in this town cuz I would still have a non-working system.

OK, they did a decent job on my HVAC last year, but the prices? Insane. Unfair. Excessive. They seem to be salespeople foremost, and repairpeople second. Like some other posters, I experienced their menu of silver, gold, and platinum options for routine repairs, and they did try to push the outrageously expensive options on me, like ""if you really care about your house, you will pay three times what you should and get the platinum!"". Not recommended, unless you have nowhere else to turn.

Gotten a little more work done by SVM, and their prices are really, really high. Plus they do this ""good, better, best"" three options sales routine every time, where they call the lowest-price choice a ""band-aid fix"". Wow! Who would want a mere band-aid fix? Not me! I guess I'll pay twice what I should pay to get the ""better"" or ""best"" fix! Just kidding there, but I do recommend you shop around.

Outrageously expensive. Never again. I will stick to my regular.
The contractor working on my bathroom needed a plumber. He called around and only SVM could respond that day.
When they showed up there were two SVM employees, the plumber and his helper. This job was simply installing a new shower valve. The contractor had already opened the wall and everything was exposed.
The plumber showed me a the price for the valve install and the cost from a book. Not on how long they would be there but based on a book price.
I have since been told that SVM always sends a plumber and helper no matter what the job. In my case, the helper had nothing to do. But I still paid for both of them to be there.
After the job was done, the contractor told me he was surprised at the cost for the job. I decided to go in to SVM's office and talk to someone about the price. A lady in the office told me the owner would call me. After a week no one called so I went back to the office. Same lady was surprised when I told her no one called. She said she would talk to the boss again but I told her that if that was the way they did business, there was no need to call me and I would never use them again.""
I should also mention that I had the shower valve and they only installed a couple feet of PEX water line and attached the new valve. Then they told me that once the contractor finished closing the wall and the new walls were installed they would return and put the handle on for an additional $75.

I was supposed to be in a different state. But a plumbing issue commanded that I stay and resolve a problem. Another plumber had been on the cheap and in s hurry. But John DeRose of SVM Plumbing Heating & Air came prepared and out of his way and within 24 business hours. Now I can leave, in peace knowing the leaky faucets have been resolved.
I appreciate the communication hub that SVM provides; we are ""off the map"" and they patiently took verbal directions and conveyed this to John DeRose.

I would not use this place they did some work on a home I bought got a water leak asked for the original invoice of repairs They gave it to me I asked the son some questions and he walked away I said I might have to sue did not say who the son turned around walked towards me and snatched the papers I they had giving me right out of my hands hitting my left hand I was concerned he was going to strike me I asked why and he said you said you where going to sue I did not say WHO and left now I am 63 disabled and have had 2 heart attacks and survived colon cancer so I filed charges and lets see what happens

Didn't show on original date scheduled, so when I called they said they would come the next day. Original service fee to show up (85 i think) went up to $298 for ""band aid"" level service (his term). Guy who showed up then would not answer specific questions about the service I would get, only answering with the screen in my face to 'pick' which level of service I wanted from a colorful menu (kind of like cheap paint shops). First and LAST time they will ever be used by me.
