I had been working with another plumber that did good work but was incredibly overpriced and started overcharging for very simple plumbing work. After my frustrations with their inconsistencies I found Dave at Surf City.
Dave is AMAZING. He was very responsive and after coming in for a consult, he took the time to thoroughly assess the problems I was having and explain the issues in detail. He gave me a great quote with fair pricing and made sure I understood everything that I was being charged for.
Dave was a pleasure to do business with, and he did the work with a professionalism and reliability I had not experienced with other high rated plumbers in the area. I am so happy I found him and will continue to rely on him for all future projects.

horrible service, do not call! overpriced! very disrespectful! I needed a job done and there was a man with a very ugly tattoo on his back who called me names and just very disrespectful overall. HE SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! Not a good man

Disappointing. Plumber showed up to handle a badly leaking valve. Was told over the phone service fee is $135 for the first hour which is reasonable.
After inspecting the job we received a quote for $3800 for a $350 valve replacement. We said no. We were then charged $130 for showing up to do the estimate (majority of reputable plumbing companies give free estimates. We found someone else instead.

Kitchen drain was stopped up. A family friend suggested calling Dave at Surf City Plumbing. He was great.
Called around 5pm the night before, Friday. He did call back and we scheduled a time for the next day between 9am and 11am. He showed up around 9:20.
There was a problem with the trap and garbage disposal. Very old pipes, still galvanized steel, and the garbage disposal was ""garbage"". He made the repairs, did a great job and cleaned up prior to leaving.
Dave has a great attitude, great work ethic, and did fantastic work. I would highly recommend calling Surf City Plumbing and having Dave work on any plumbing issue.
Fair pricing, solid work, reliable workmanship.

The most HONEST plumber I have ever called. Not a sales man. He does exactly what you need and if he thinks you do not need something, he will tell you. He offers his advice if asked. HOWEVER, if he ever offers advice without you asking, you might want to consider taking it. I learned that the hard way. I will never call another plumber again. Thanks Dave!

Dave and his team were amazing. We had some work that had to be repaired that we found in the inspection of our new home. I had been dealing with my favorite plumbers for weeks. They were too busy or seemed to think a water heater was a very complicated issue requiring a big process review. And they became totally unresponsive. After the frustration I looked on local social neighborhood site and found out about Surf City Plumbing. Thought I might as well get a quote since my regular plumber can't seem to give me a price or even a date. It was already after 5 PM and a week of no service.

I WAS AMAZED!. Dave asked a few questions, gave me a great quote, and said he'd be there at 8 the next morning for the install. He was early. Dave did an amazing job. He was totally prepared like a pro, came in and did the work and it cost me less than expected. Dave's cheerfulness set the tone and made it a wonderful morning. We were so happy we found him.

Its kind of funny how the other plumbers said they have to come out for a complete inspection before ever even planning the job. They strung us on for weeks. Then I called Dave in the evening, told him what we had and bam, next morning he came in and did the job. He's one of the best. He's an engineer who can come in, assess the situation and knows exactly what needs to be done.

Dave's price was fantastic. All the other plumbers wanted to charge labor for a job they said would take days. I've got news for them, Dave did in an hour and half what other plumbers said they needed a week and a half to do.
