One of the reasons plumbers get a bad reputation is for dishonest billing practices and that's exactly what we experienced with Superior Plumbing & Heating, Inc. out of West Orange. My father called this company to service a toilet that wasn't flushing correctly. Two employees of Superior Plumbing & Heating showed up and quickly assessed the problem, which was not a clog. The toilet simply required a new flapper and flow valve. The entire repair took approximately 15 minutes, and we provided our own flapper. We had a spare. We were told the price would be $180, which we agreed to. Upon completing the work, the technician confirmed the $180 price and went to his truck to write out the bill. When he returned, he handed us a bill for $210 without any comment. My father immediately noticed the $30 price increase. The explanation we were given was the owner upped the price when he found out there would be no additional work. We were told we could either pay the extra cost or ""call the boss"", which we did. Whoever the boss was, he was angry that my father didn't agree to pay the increased price and was very unpleasant. In the end, realizing my father would not be taken advantage of he accepted the $180 that was originally quoted, but told us not to call them again. We certainly won't, and we strongly recommend you don't either. Superior Plumbing & Heating, Inc. was dishonest with us, and I expect they will be dishonest with you too.

Horrible company. Did minimal work and charged us $1000 and now we have to hire a different company to clean up their terrible work. Do yourself a favor and Don't work with this company.

This place did work for my elderly father who is 89. They left a dirty mess on his floor. Tracked debris and dirt onto his hardwood floors upstairs. I found debris in the driveway. I had to vacuum and mop the floor. They certainly knew my Dad was handicapped and wouldn't be able to clean up the mess they left behind. SHAME ON YOU!

Although the owner seems professional when talking on the phone, their work is awful and a rip off. $120 bucks to clean the filter in the furnace, 1 minute of ""work"" AND the sink that they installed is already falling off the wall 2 months later. Plenty of other plumbers to choose from in the area.
