Never, ever again!! If you want to be insulted and ripped off by these people, please call them. Just read the review by Ronnie W. from 1/18/2019. Same story. They will show up at your house, give you an absolutely ridiculous quote that anyone with any common sense would laugh at, and then demand a $62.50 trip charge. Embarrassing for a Company who advertises as operating with integrity and value employs such dishonest and lazy techs. Oh and by the way, when you call to complain, don't hold your breath waiting for a Manager to call you back. One of their competitors showed up promptly and did the work in 30 minutes for half the quoted price. Embarrassing! If there was something less than one star, they truly deserve it.

Scheduled an appointment with a plumber because my tankless water heater was not working. They explained that there was a charge of $62.50 for the service call. However when the plumber arrived he did absolutely nothing. He promptly explained that it would be an additional $376.00 for him to diagnosis what's wrong with the water heater. If this is true why wasn't it explained during my initial phone call? What am I paying the $62.50 for? I guess this is just an appearance fee. I even wrote a letter to the service manager explaining my disappointment in the lack of service that was provided, but they didn't respond. It appears the lack of customer service extends to the management as well. They advertise themselves to be """"the honest plumber"""". In my experience they are neither superior nor honest.

Superior Plumbing advised they will not provide estimates over the phone, so I paid a $60 """"dispatch"""" fee for a plumber to come out and provide an estimate. The plumber walked into my house and, without even looking at the job, rattled off an estimate. Based on that, it was clear they knew what they wanted to charge me for the work before they arrived, but I guess they wanted to guarantee that I would owe them at least $60. (Also note that they do not credit the dispatch fee toward the estimate, which several of their competitors do.) When I called the office to complain that their plumber provided an estimate without even looking at the job, I was informed that all their jobs are priced according to a book. This begs the question of why can't they provide an estimate over the phone. (Oh yeah, then they wouldn't get their $60 dispatch fee.) I eventually spoke to Keith, a master plumber. Keith said the plumber who was sent to my house needed """"more training"""" and made it clear he had issues with this plumber in the past. (One of the comments was that this plumber """"worked too fast"""" and needed to """"slow down."""") Keith even attempted to distance himself from the plumber that was sent to my home by saying that the plumber wasn't really part of Superior. I'm sorry, but if your company sends a plumber to my house and that person is wearing your company's shirt and diving your company's car, then that person is a representative of your company. If you have issues with an employee, then you shouldn't be sending him to do a job. In the end I suppose Superior got what they wanted, a $60 dispatch fee and an unhappy customer. Based on the reviews here, the only thing these guys seem to be superior at is annoying potential repeat customers. Next time I'm calling someone else.

I have had Superior come out several times. They are professional and organized with respect to scheduling and communicating prior to appointment. Two of the three plumbers who have come to us from Superior were knowledgeable and effective in troubleshooting and fixing our problem. The third, who has come out twice, was not (either time). Both times, we had to call them back and schedule another appointment to finish the job correctly. Finally, we asked that this plumber not be sent back to us. My biggest issue with them is their pricing -- very expensive. I get the concept of a dispatch fee (now $60+) as a necessary tool to keep people from calling you out and getting free advice without actually asking you to do any work, but that fee should not be added on top of their task-based fees when you have them do the work. They came out twice this week -- first time was $725 (which included dispatch fee) for less than 3 hours work. They came out again a few days later (because first guy treated symptom rather than problem). Fee this time was $1000 for not quite 3 hours of work. They did not charge dispatch fee for second visit since problem should have been fixed the first time. Except for the one guy, I like the plumbers but I will look elsewhere due to pricing.

We had a tub removed and a shower installed. The acrylic shower base was not installed properly. The mortar, sand/topping mix did not hold up, and replacing it the drain was broken and was replaced with PVC pipe. The PVC drain was not level. Therefore, drain cover would not stay in place. It took about 3 actual days work to complete the shower base, put ceramic tile on the walls, install two handle bars, shower hardware, shower door, install new commode, peel and stick tile on the floor. When the job was complete, and a 24 wait for everything to set, after showering and waiting 3 to 4 hours for it to drain, there was still puddles standing. Also, the shower floor creaks when walked on and in about 4 weeks the grout, on the tiled walls is now coming loose . Cantu Superior Plumbing, a company with only 3-4 years experience and had unlicensed plumbers do our job. We paid $7,000 up front to complete the job. They charged us $200 for a plumbing permit. We found out a plumbing permit was never purchased and if it had been purchased, the cost would have only $50. They did refund $200 of the cost. They have been out to the house twice to repair the grout but it continues to come loose. However, they refuse to acknowledge our other problems. My advice is don't use this company for any plumbing work.

Had Superior Plumbing come out. They looked at my leak and essentially told me to 'fix it since it would be cheaper'. Than they left. Well, later in the day the leak became far far worse and when we called them again for help, they said that they could not get someone out until the next day. Even after I explained how bad our leak was, there was no help other than 'sorry, someone will be there tomorrow'. We had to call another plumbing company to come out and help us. I will never go with them again.

Superior has a catchy jingle and they advertise everywhere, so we have hired them a few times, and on two occasions, their incompetence was costly and amazing. Example one: Woke up one morning and we could hear a drip-drip-drip beneath our kitchen. Called Superior. Told them exactly where and what, and 30 minutes later, they tell us we need a new hot water heater. We have no idea, so we say OK. The guy installs it, he says it will take a while to fill all the way up so if we hear water running for a while, don't worry about it (you see where this is going.) I think the bill came close to $2,000. After an hour of rushing water, we went downstairs and our finished basement was completely flooded - like, a foot of water, everywhere. It turns out when he turned the water off to install the water heater, and then turned it back on again, the leak, which he hadn't fixed, broke wide open - water was pouting into our basement for several hours, and they had uphold us on something completely unrelated to the problem we called about. But, they stepped up, fixed it (after a lot of threats and a lawyer getting involved - I was certain they had ripped us off.) So we continued to use them. But last week, we had a problem with a toilet that was above my pay grade. We called them. The fellow replaced all kinds of stuff on the toilet, and when my wife told me about it, I told her that wasn't related to a clog. But the clog was cleared - or so we thought. The bills came in at $268. The next day, the toilet won't flush again despite the high bill. Because, again, they sold us stuff that was completely unrelated to the problem. I don't know if this is their business model, but it's happened to us twice now, and I would just as soon pick someone else. We won't be using them again (though they are going to fix the toilet, which they were supposed to have already.)

We called Superior Plumbing to fix a valve. Our building scheduled a water shutoff for the entire building for all of the valves to be fixed within a certain time window. We explained when setting up the appointment with Superior Plumbing the situation. When they arrived they told us they were not going to fix it because they didn't want to wait around for the water to be turned back on to check for leaks. Now we have no plumber and are liable for the valve not working. We cannot get the building to shut off the water again. I will never use Superior Plumbing again.

NOT UPFRONT AND HONEST, AS THEY CLAIM TO BE. SUperior plumbing refuses to give a set price per job. Only after they have come out, charged their service fee and opened up your plumbing, will they give you a price. At that point you are in a bad position and will be more likely to overpay just to get the job done with. They are also rude on the phone saying that they 'are busy enough and don't need the business.' That's fine, they won't get mine or likely anyone else who reads this post.

This is the second time I have used superior plumbing for a job that needed to be done very quickly. Melvin our plumber was very good and I'm so glad that they can come the same day of our problem.
