Hard pass.

Had them do a diagnostic for $99 on HVAC system since a/c wasn't working for. They did come on time and all while letting us know the issues. However, the quote they provided to fix the issue was insane. I was very skeptical that the repairs cost even close to that much so I went and got a 2nd opinion...which ended up being less than a 1/3 of what Superior quoted. I don't want to go into too much details but I always recommend getting a 2nd opinion. What Superior quoted was not even close to market rate, it was way inflated.

I've been a happy client since 2017! Something that really impressed me right off - they always answer the phone during business hours, unlike a lot of companies where you just get voicemail, which is the worst when you have an emergency and have to wait for a call back.

When I moved into my new home, my HVAC needed attention, so it was a relief to be able to get a real person on the phone right away.

Superior helped me with repairs and upgrades, and their service reps are professional, on time, and always courteous. They go out of their way to explain exactly what they are doing so I understand.

In 2018 I started taking advantage of their customer care plan. I pay $14.95/month. Here's what it covers - In the winter, they come out to service my furnace, and in the spring, my AC. They replace filters and make sure everything is working properly. More important, I get priority with urgent issues since I'm a VIP client.

I have referred Superior to my friends many times, from service and repairs to AC unit replacement, and they are all very happy!

I highly recommend Superior has been around since 1957 and they are THE Bay Area experts!

Even though they're in Livermore, I've had Dano at Superior come to Oakland to replace several wall gravity heaters as well as a forced air unit. It's never been a problem to schedule. They've also installed dryer duct booster fans (Tjernlund). Price is always very competitive, they pull permits and are consistently communicative. I highly recommend you give them a shot.

I would call someone else. They installed new AC for me and subsequently got busted for working without a permit. Then they billed me for maintenance when they never showed up. After a couple heated phone calls they got the message and fired themselves. Good riddance!

After moving into our house, we quickly realized that our heating system worked very poorly in many parts of our house, with little to no airflow. It became apparent to use that we needed a full update and revamp of our system. The job called for replacing basically all of our ductwork, installing air conditioning, replacing an old furnace, and putting in a three zone system to allow for greater efficiency.

We got several bids for the job, and despite the fact that Superior was located in Livermore (and we're in Redwood City), we went with them as they had done work for my family before and gave a very competitive estimate and timeline. They handled the permitting, Title 24 process, the inspections, and we were happy with our ability to communicate with them. The work itself took 5 full days, and they did a good job cleaning up, treated our house with care, and generally gave us a positive experience. With the heat we've experienced lately, having a well functioning HVAC system is a great investment and a real lifesaver.

My new water heater passed inspection & The installer was very kind, efficient and very easy to talk to. Nothing in my garage was disturbed, no mess was left.
