We are very unhappy with this company. They came to fix a Navien heating and hot water system. They said we needed a pump and a 3 way valve replaced. $3,200 later, the system has a new leak, and, while we do have heat, our hot water still isn't working properly. They charged us for a follow up visit, even though we had ""subscribed"" to their maintenance subscription program, which gave us a ""discount"" on the repair. The problem still wasn't fixed. Instead, they said we needed a very costly pipe re-routing job. We paid for a second company to give a second opinion, and they told us that the 3 way valve - which Super Service supposedly replaced - hadn't been installed properly, and quoted us half the price that Super Service did to fix it. The second company also told us we did not need our pipes rerouted. I contacted Super Service to ask if we could at least get back our money for the 3 way valve. The man, who answered the phone with, ""How can we make you smile today?"" was considerably less friendly when I explained the situation. He said he would talk to his manager but we never heard back. This is appalling customer service. Run!
Sarah S.Super Service Today didn't respond in a timely manner, over-quoted us by a thousand dollars, mis-diagnosed our problem in a way that could have proven catastrophic (if we hadn't gotten a second opinion), and then tried to withhold the return of our deposit to try to get us to sign an ""agreement"" that we wouldn't post a bad review.
The order of events:
1. Response in a timely manner: Our toilet and two sinks overflowed, with water cascading down from that bathroom to the basement below. We went with Super Service Today because they were the first phone call to an emergency plumber to get through, and had reasonably good reviews online. The overflow stopped on its own, and the company said it wasn't that much of an emergency, so they'd stop by between 8 and 10 the next morning. At 10am, I called them, as no one had shown up. They apologized and said someone would definitely be there by noon. At noon, I called them again, and told them we were going with another plumbing company. They said they'd sub-contract someone else, in order to keep control of the situation. The company they sent found the blockage, snaked the pipe, and hit a blockage in the sewer leading to the street; they couldn't investigate further, because they were only sub-contracted.
2. Over-quote and mis-diagnosis: Super Service Today sent one of their plumbers to take a video of the sewer line. This person hit the same blockage and diagnosed the problem as tree roots, then laid out escalating packages to fix it. The lowest level (and what this plumber recommended wholeheartedly) was hydro-jet, a high-powered water burst that can clear tree roots; this was quoted at $1600. The next level was replacement of that segment ($5000 or so) or replacement of the whole sewer ($25000 or so). He said the problem as urgent, and urged us to pick the jet. I hesitantly agreed and paid the deposit. Later that day, I got uncertain and curious and looked up what other companies charged for hydro-jet, and found it was between $300 and $500. At this point, we cancelled our hydro-jet service with Super Service Today and searched for another company. The company we chose took a new video of the line and showed us the truth: there was a mis-join in the line, rather than tree roots, so the two segments were partially offset from each other. They told us that if we'd chosen the (overpriced) hydro-jet, we'd have likely created an enormous sinkhole and done catastrophic damage to our sewer system. We went with them for the repair of that sewer segment, which went smoothly.
3. Withholding our deposit and the agreement: We wanted to conclude business with Super Service Today and get our deposit back. Super Service Today sent us a legal document to sign in order to get our deposit; it stated that we would be prohibited from posting a negative review. I consulted a lawyer friend who confirmed that we needed no ""agreement"" to get our deposit back, and that this was fraudulent. They tried to force the issue one more time and only relented when we said we'd submitted a challenge claim to our credit card company for the charge. Then, they were very apologetic on the phone as they returned our deposit, as well as an extra $100 refund for our trouble.
Basically flushed money down the toilet by calling here. They sent a tech out who made no attempt unblocking toilet. He said i needed a new pump and toilet and quoted me $2300. So i basically paid them a $60 fee for an estimate. I hired another plumber who came out, took pump apart and found a sheet rock screw stuck in the pump from contractors. Fixed toilet for $100. So, if you want to pay for a false estimate, these guys are for you.
Robert L.I accidentally broke off the stem off the faucet in the tub. Called them on Monday and scheduled an appointment on Friday. On Friday they called and canceled and rescheduled for the following Tuesday. The man came (nice guy) changed the stem, I supplied the new stem. They charged us $450.
I can NOT recommend them. Find a local plumber who won't steal from you.
Billy F.DO NOT TRUST SUPER SERVICE TODAY. Had a sewage drain pipe break and they gave me an estimate of almost 20K on the low end for a spot repair. Called the department of public works for an opinion and they immediately recognized the scam. They investigated immediately and repaired/replaced the pipe at NO COST in the same week. The break was beyond the sidewalk which is town property. Of course Super Service Today were shady and deceptive by leading me to believe there was no other option and time was not on my side. They tried to rush everything and pressured me to quickly make a large deposit to secure and schedule the work. Glad I saw through these manipulative salesmen and went to the town sewage department for assistance, saving almost 20K. Beware...you've been warned!
Absolutely TERRIBLE, I called because I had a problem with a clogged toilet. The plumber took a look at the toilet and said the toilet should be replaced to fix the clog . I payed for the toilet , and I paid 1200 dollars just to get the toilet installed. I expected the problem to be resolved, but the toilet was still clogged. I called them again explaining the problem. It wasn't until the second visit that they actually fixed the problem. I had to pay another 397 dollars. Please save your money and find another company.
I have never left a review before, but I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Travis from Super Service Today came to fix our kitchen sink first thing in the morning when my 3-yr old son was just waking up, and he was so patient and thorough, brought my son a pair of gloves so he could help him while he explained everything to me. He fixed it all right there within 20 min and let my son feel like he was helping the whole way. Overall amazing service and couldn't have been nicer. Thank you again!
Thary S.Super service did a good job at my fathers home. Called and got an appointment next day. Did work in a timely manner and manager was knowledgeable. I've had my share in dealing wit plumbing/ Hvac companies before. And these guys are good. Fyi if ur calling heating/plumbing services it's costly Period. So please keep an open mind

The worst experience I have ever had with a contractor
**update on my previous review** The owner Tim called me to resolve the issue with my experience. Situation is resolved, however if a price is quoted sounds really off, best thing to do is call the office before having the work done.
