I contacted Super Mario Plumbing last night,12/28/15 around 8:34pm via Yelp to get a quote and set up an appointment to have someone come out and take a look at our leaking water heater; I submitted the quote request and literally seconds later my phone was ringing...I was VERY impressed, to say the least. Not only did I get a return call in a matter of seconds, Dima asked if he could come right out and take a look. Okay, now my mind is blown!! He arrived shortly before 9:00pm and took a look at everything; he informed us that our entire water heater needed to be replaced...We already expected this to be the case as it's the original water heater placed when our house was built in 1996- it was time!
Dima quoted us $1,200 for the entire job and stated he would come back out first thing in the morning to take care of everything; sure enough, he was knocking on the door by 9:00 this morning. He quickly explained to me what he was going to do, shut off the water and got right to work. He was quick but thorough and we're very pleased with his work and pricing. Would definitely recommend and will keep him on file for future needs.

Thank you!

Fast, efficient, & clean. My kitchen sewage started coming up out of another sink on a Saturday evening during the holidays. I figured I wouldn't be able to get it cleaned out until Monday but Dima and his assistant showed up and cleared it less than two hours from my call, with no extra charge for the holiday hour.

I called twice. The first time, I never got a return phone call. The second time, I was told he would follow up and confirm an appointment. I never heard back. If the job is too small, fine but please just say that so I don't waste my time waiting on a response.

I had a water heater go out Friday evening with a house full of relatives slated to arrive in a couple of days for the Christmas holiday. I called Super Mario Plumbing Saturday morning (based on the Yelp ratings) and was not disappointed. Dima committed to have a new water heater installed that afternoon or Sunday, depending on how soon they finished their current job. He called later Saturday, said he was on his way. He showed up just after Noon and had my new heater installed before 2pm. Dima works fast, is efficient, very knowledgeable, and cleaned up when finished - very professional. I had my hot water back in less than 24 hours. Highly recommend Dima for your plumbing needs.

Super Mario lived up to its name - Super! Dimitar and his co-workers were punctual arriving at the scheduled time and even called ahead to let us know they were on the way. They were professional, workmanlike, as well as courteous and friendly. They replaced our 21 year old gas hot water heater with a new highly rated 48 gallon Rheem Professional unit including new fittings and adding a drain pan and drain to outside (an extra I wanted). The work was done for the quoted price which was several hundred dollars less than other bids for the same unit and updates required by code. In addition, they did not charge for installation of a new faucet elsewhere in our house - since they were already here! Their work was excellent and everything is functioning well with no leaks and no issues with building inspector review as per permit (that they obtained for us - charging only what our city required for the permit). They did not charge any extra fees despite the need to change multiple valves and piping. I also note that their quote also included tax. Dimitar was quite knowledgeable and was familiar with all codes and plumbing issues which he explained to me as well as the operation of our new unit. In short Super Mario has my highest recommendation and I am planning to use their service again in the near future as we replace some other dated plumbing fixtures in the house.

Since moving to the Sacramento area about three months ago, my wife and I have been working down the punch list items identified on our home inspection.

There were 72 items listed, plus a bunch more that they missed, and a couple that they noticed that weren't problems, and of course the things that she and I want to change.

To summarize--we got a great house but just about everything was installed incorrectly.

But let me focus on the plumbing. The gas-fired tankless water heater was incorrectly installed--perhaps that was too kind--it was basically hung on the wall, and not hung on the wall very well as it was mounted with a single screw.

The inspector had found nearly a dozen code violations; the gravest of all was a lack of a pressure temperature relief valve. That's the device that prevents the unit from exploding when the unit overheats. That got my attention in a hurry.

Besides that, the service valves necessary to flush the water heater coils were not installed, the condensate drains did not exit the house, and the air intake and gas exhaust were of the wrong materials and in the wrong place. The inspector also noted that there was rot behind the water heater. The inspector missed the need for a new independent 1"" gas line to run the width of the house to service the water heater.

I got three quotes for the code compliant installation of the water heater, and they came in at approximately $6,000, $4,000 and $2,000. The low bid was from a company called--and I'm not kidding--Super Mario Plumbing. The owner thought Super Mario would be a catchy name for his plumbing business.

Well, the owner, Dima, turned out to be one hell of a plumber. He installed the water heater just the way I wanted, and installed a sink at the same time. That gas pipe, he ran through the crawl space between the cathedral ceiling and the roof--none of the other bidders would do that. I watched him crawl into the narrow space wearing a protective bunny suit. Good job.

So, I got a pest contractor to fix the rot. It turned out that there was no rot--even though the home inspector had self-quoted $750 to repair it. What was mistaken for rot was a rusted splice bar that covered a cutout where piping had been run. But they discovered that a water connection above the wet area was caused by a leaking pipe.

So again, Super Mario to the rescue. I asked Dima to both fix the water leak and remove a shower head from the master bathroom. It seems that the prior owner had hooked up the regular shower head and an overhead rain shower head in series without a switching valve, so one couldn't be used without the other.

When he finally checked the attic leak problem, the solder joint had been made without proper preparation and was ready to fail and flood the house. But the joint was made so close to the wood framing that a bevy of pipes had to be relocated to access the joint.

Now the latest--our dishwasher hasn't been cleaning the dishes well. We cleaned the filters--better but not good. We tested the water--cold. We ran the hot water and then started the dishwasher--still cold. We discovered that there are two lines leaving the water connections under the sink: one goes to the dishwasher, and the other goes to the refrigerator's filtered water and ice maker.

Believe it or not, the cold water was piped to the dishwasher and the hot water was piped to the refrigerator's filtered water and ice maker.

Called Super Mario and it was fixed in 15 minutes.

WOW! I don't write many reviews but I'm going to take the time to give Dima at Super Mario Bros. a well deserved review. I'm an Elk Grove realtor and have used dozens of contractors over the years some good some bad and I alway remember and refer the good. Well, Dima is great! He works hards and very clean which is very important to me. The only reason I want to know that a contractor has done work on any of my properties is by the work is complete, not because I have to clean up after them or things were not done right and have to call them back. Super Mario did an awesome and clean job and went above and beyond to make sure everything was working correctly before he left. GREAT JOB!!!

Very fast, reasonably priced, and quick responses. I was amazed at the amount of 4-5 star reviews but after having used this service I understand why people are impressed.

Dima and his crew re-piped our house in less than a week. Granted we have a small-ish house, but I had expected at least 5 days. He was very responsive and the work was high quality. The inspector repeated ""Good work, good work"" at every point of his walk-through.

Highly recommended.

Great plumbers. Our water heater went out and needed it replaced asap. Contacted Super Marios and set up an appointment. Plumber was here right on time. Gave us a quote on a water heater replacement. Answered all of our questions. Very knowledgeable. Set up and had our new water heater running in about an hour and a half. Very great service and very professional. Will definitely call them in the future for any plumbing needs.
