I needed a cracked toilet flange replaced. I contacted Sunshine on Monday, got a price quote and scheduled the job for Tuesday AM. Tech arrived on time, did the job efficiently/quickly/cleanly, price was exactly as quoted. I would definitely recommend this firm.

Fantastic service, they responded quickly and even though it was Christmas eve the serviceman was friendly and took the time to explain the situation and what we needed to look for to avoid the problem in the future. We will definitely use them again.

We used them to replace a drain valve on our hot water heater. We thought we were overcharged, called them to state such, and were quickly issued a refund!

Had a hot water heater that stopped supplying hot water to bathrooms at my son's house. Sunshine responded quickly and had it fixed within a day and kids enjoyed their baths again. Fast and friendly service where other plumbers did not even return my call.

The toilet in the master bedroom developed what appeared to be a block, water would rise then recede very slowly. However, both the vanity sinks and the bathtub showed no problems and worked appropriately as did the other sinks and toilets in our house. After countless attempts to clear it we decided we had to call a plumber; We then began to notice on the other side of the house the half bath off the kitchen developed what appeared to be a leaking stream from the toilet into the sunroom. My husband had seen the Sunshine Plumbing and Backflow Prevention truck in our neighborhood, so he gave them a call. On the scheduled appointment day, the technician, Samuel (I think) arrived early Tuesday morning my husband explained the leak coming from the toilet off the kitchen into the sunroom was more concerning. The technician lifted the commode and ran his camera as far as it would go (40 ft). The picture on his computer screen was very grainy he stated it showed a blockage in the line. Additionally, he stated the ring with the extension (equivalent to a large washer) under the commode had worn away and was totally gone which is what caused the leak, he did snake this commode. He stated it had been leaking for a while there was water and mold behind the tiled wall. He then moved to the master bathroom to address the original issue the slow draining toilet. He pulled out another machine that displayed a disk, I am assuming the disk displayed represented the blockage because he kept saying ""you see the disk."" He stated that the blockage was in the main pipe that was under my walk-in closet beneath the foundation. He went outside and dug until he found the pipe running to the city sewer line, he stated that he would have to break a hole in the pipe to run his camera to find exactly where the block was. We declined him doing that. After completing his evaluation, he sat with us and stated that 2-3 feet of the floor in my walk-in closet and the foundation of our home would have to be cut up to get to the blockage. As well as replacing the piping leading to the city's sewage. My question was if there was a 4-inch blockage in the main pipe why were the other toilets, faucets and sinks still working appropriately? He stated it was a partial blockage. He then stated the Sunshine Plumbing often works with United Fire and Water Restoration to maintain and restore health and safety. We were not comfortable moving forward until we found out exactly how much this was going to cost. He then informed us that his replacing the worn-out extended ring in the half bath to stop the leak under the commode was $520.00. Which we felt was outrageous. It was then we insisted on a written estimate for the proposed work to be done. He stated that would come from the office and he put us in touch with United Fire and Water Restoration. We did not feel comfortable tearing up the foundation and walls of our home, so we contacted another plumber, Terry Carney Plumbing and Serve Pro for a second opinion and evaluation on possible water damage and mold. Terry Carney came out first, he stated if there was blockage in the main line, we would have drainage problems in ALL toilets, He went to the master bath snaked it and found that the urinal cake wire had gotten stuck in the toilet, pulled it out and the toilet worked fine. Serve Pro came out and dismantled the small vanity and found no water damage or mold. The next day Sunshine Plumbing sent and estimate totaling $11,211.59 for work that was not needed and unnecessary. We are unsure whether this was just plain greed or incompetence. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION! I had to give 1 star because I couldn't give a half star not that they deserved that!

Very quick to respond, did the job requested and did it well. The only issue is that, for what was done the price was extremely high. An L-joint needed to be removed and the pipe capped. I will admit that I used a plumber because I didn't know if more would be required and didn't want to break anything, but if I had know, I could have done the job myself for well under $100, whereas they charged six times that.

Super friendly, very fast to respond, and I know you often get what you pay for, so if you shop for the cheapest you might be sorry for other reasons. I would probably use them again, but would ask for pricing beforehand and then consider if it's worth the cost vs. doing it myself.
