My landlord owns our tanks but gets service through Sunrise Fuel. They told me if I wanted to start service I would have to pay a $430 deposit to even get service. When I asked what happens with the deposits, the woman said I would get it back when I moved out. I said I never heard of a fuel service requiring a deposit, she said it was THEIR policy for renters. Mind you the whole time the woman I was speaking with was rude, abrasive and unhelpful. I refuse to call back and set up service with them. Not because of the ridiculous deposit, but because of how this woman spoke to me. If you don't want to be in customer service, don't do a customer service type of job.

Do not recommend this company. They do not care about the customer or their employees at all. The owner only cares about making money anyway he can and doesn't care about who he screws over to make a buck. They fired an employee when he was quarantineing for covid that he got from the owner, and it was right before Christmas. He illegally pays his staff salary but if they have to take a day off they get that day docked from pay!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Really disappointed in my recent service. They claim to be 24/7, but they couldn't come out to me until 2 days after I called. This was MDW, so I understand the holiday delay, no bid deal, but the disappointments continued. Once the tech made it on Tuesday, he said our propane would be delivered Friday, even though their website says they have radio dispatch for their propane deliveries so that they are prompt. Not only was I annoyed that I had to wait four days for propane, they didn't deliver until four days after that! I was in the cold for over a week. Additionally, the tech said the propane deliverer would check to make sure the furnace was working and would light the pilot light for us- the deliverer never even knocked on the door or said one word to us. Now two weeks later I receive a $95 invoice for the tech visit that was less than 5 minutes in length. I am a new client and this is my first time dealing with this business, but I can only hope the quality of service improves from here. I would love to come back and delete this review someday soon.

After reading the one star review I have to say I experienced nearly the identical situation. Driver filled neighbors tank and I was billed. Passive aggressive customer service experience, Tank allowed to drop below recommended levels with autofill and then told no one can come out for six days. Six days when 4 weeks earlier I called for a delivery and was told they would not fill the tank when the reading was 25 to wait until 20. Now 15 and they haven't come out and won't for six says. No response to emails or follow up on service requests

I wouldn't recommend this company even to my enemies. We called a few weeks ago for a delivery we drove up from Queens New York only to find out that the girl in the office put the wrong address and at that point all the drivers were done for the day. Their response was it was anew girl and no apologies to us was made . Just called again today for a delivery and we were told none available . When I mentioned what happened last time all the rude woman would say is well I can't change what happened . I suggested they train employees better and her response was I won't stay on phone and be insulted . She then hung up. I guess they don't need or want new business . If I could give zero stars I would
