Sunrise focuses on home renovations. We take care of the plumbing work, electrical, framing structures, insulating, some drywall, tile, floor installations, and the painting process. Our focus is clear: limiting the staff in your home to a couple of screened, experienced professionals who are committed to complete the work properly without blame or overlooking changes.

Founded in 2001, Sunrise functions as a home-based enterprise with 1-2 workers carrying out most of the projects. We employ contractors for more demanding work or large-scale projects that demand permits. About 85% of our work comes from word of mouth.

Hi, I’m Sean Mims. With two decades in the construction industry, I’ve established myself as a third-generation contractor. Both have managed construction-related companies for twenty-six and forty-six years, respectively. I’ve loved construction since I was young. Remodeling is a family tradition. Transforming a home to design a welcoming area for all is not only fun but also fulfilling. I studied Auburn University, AL, with a degree in Building Science in 1996. Upon finishing my studies, I gained experience with large-scale firms, working on an I-Max Theater, several churches, and a notable project for Mercedes Benz. Traveling while converting drug stores for CVS offered me a broad understanding of both areas while connecting with relationships.

I have a pair of children and my family and I attend church frequently. I’ve been a leader for four years, I am a Cub Scout troop leader.
